We're backstage with Corey Payne who's pacing back and forth in his locker room, thinking something to himself. He suddenly stops and snaps his fingers with an excited look on his face and heads straight out the door and slams it shut.

*Pyros go off*

Connor: Ascension is here live from Lafayette, Louisiana as we're at the last stop before Redemption, we got excitement from Titus taking on Everest. We have possible retribution with Showtime taking on Karnage and we have possible chaos with the Mayhem Title on the line. It's one to watch this week!

Cohen: You're damn right there CC...

We cut backstage to Corey Payne who walks along the hallway and past a few locker rooms, he stops outside rooms like Garth Black's which gets a mild cheer, but he shrugs it off. He stops outside Chris Beckford's which gets a bigger cheer, he considers it but then shrugs it off again. He stops outside Titus' which gets an huge uproar but just keeps walking on.

Connor: Corey Payne trying to find his partner before Redemption, will he get his wish?

Cohen: Never mind that, let's get on with the matches!

Anderson: The following is a 6 man tag team match scheduled for one fall under Mayhem 24/7 rules.

Rooster by Alice in Chains hits and Mark Hancock and Chris Jones make their way out onto the entrance ramp.

Anderson: Introducing first, at a combined weight of 437 pounds, Chris Jones and Mark Hancock!

Both men make their way down the ramp, exchanging a few words before they get into the ring. Jones gets on the turnbuckle and does his signature taunt as Hancock sits on the adjacent turnbuckle.

Cohen: I don’t think I’ve ever seen ambition from rookies like I’ve seen from these two!

Conor: Between this match and the tag title match at Redemption, these men have two title opportunities in the space of a fortnight.

Pantera hits and the crowd let out a pop as KillJoy starts making his way down to the ring.

Anderson: And their partner, weighing in at 225 pounds, The KillJoy!

He slides into the ring and goes to each turnbuckle to taunt.

Conor: And here is the number one contender!

Cohen: Bah, he doesn’t deserve that spot!

Escape the fate hits and CardiffCam comes out. He walks down the ramp and mimics a sniper at the bottom of the ramp.

Anderson: And their opponents, first, weighing in at 190 pounds, CardiffCam!

He waits at the bottom of the ramp as Shinedown hits. John Smith marches down the ramp, look focused.

Anderson: His partner, weighing in at 250 pounds, John Smith!

He joins CardiffCam at the bottom of the ramp. Roll Deep hits and the crowd lets out a flurry of boos as Scott Hammond makes his way out with his Mayhem title draped over his shoulder.

Anderson: And their partner, weighing in at 275 pounds, the Mayhem Champion, Scott Hammond!

He gets down to the bottom of the entrance ramp, ignoring his tag team partners and he slides into the ring and gets up on the nearest turnbuckle, and raises his title in the air before taking off his jacket.

Conor: If Hammond is worried about losing his title tonight, he’s not showing it!

Cohen: Pure confidence from the man who’s, in my opinion, the best Mayhem champion in the history of the company!

Hammond measures up the opposition. He stays in the ring as Smith and CardiffCam get onto the apron, with Mark Hancock starting off the match on the other side. The bell rings and they circle each other, with Hammond throwing a quick glance at The KillJoy before they lock up in the centre of the ring. Hammond uses his superior strength to back Hancock into the corner. The referee breaks it up with a 5 count, before Hammond hits Hancock with a stiff right hand, taking Hancock down to the mat. Hammond picks up his opponent and Irish whips him into the ropes. Hancock rebounds and is hit with a T-Bone suplex from Hammond. Hammond quickly goes for the pin, 1... Hancock kicks out. Hammond picks up Hancock and gets him in a headlock before dragging him over to the corner. Hammond looks at his partners with no emotion on his face before extending his arm for the tag. CardiffCam slaps Hammond’s hand and gets into the ring. CardiffCam twists Hancock’s arm and wrenches it but Hancock forces CardiffCam to let go with a quick headbutt. Hancock runs at the dazed CardiffCam and nails a clothesline. CardiffCam quickly gets up before he’s hit with a scoop slam from Hancock. Hancock runs off the ropes and hits and knee drop on CardiffCam’s skull before going for the pin, 1.... 2... kick out!

Conor: Some good back and forth action early on here!

Cohen: I’m just waiting for that coward KillJoy to try take out Scott Hammond!

Hancock tags in Jones and Jones quickly picks up where Hancock left off, delivering an elbow drop to CardiffCam’s head. He lifts up CardiffCam and backs him into the corner. Jones walks to the other corner and does his signature taunt before running at CardiffCam and hitting an elbow smash. CardiffCam tags in KillJoy who picks up CardiffCam and throws him into the corner. KillJoy tells Hammond to tag himself in, but he instead jumps off the apron and takes a few steps back from the ring. KillJoy walks over to the ropes, shouting at Hammond to get in the ring. Suddenly Smith tags himself in and attacks KillJoy from behind. He delivers a huge forearm to KillJoy’s back before delivering a back suplex. Smith goes for a pin, 1... 2... KillJoy kicks out! Smith picks him up and gets KillJoy in a bearhug. Hammond is back up on the apron, screaming encouragement at Smith, who is squeezing the life out of KillJoy. KillJoy screams out in pain, struggling to escape. He quickly elbows Smith in the head, but Smith doesn’t relinquish the grip. KillJoy hits a second and third elbow to Smith’s head, finally forcing him to break the grip. KillJoy lands on his feet and runs off the ropes at Smith, but Smith catches him with a Spinebuster. Hammond extends his arm for Smith to tag in. Smith tags in Hammond, but as Hammond gets in the ring, Smith grabs him by the throat and hits a chokeslam!

Conor: Oh my! Looks like Smith is betraying his partner to go for the title!

Smith picks up Hammond and hits the straightjacket powerbomb on him, and quickly goes for the pin, 1.... 2.... broken up by KillJoy! KillJoy clotheslines Smith out of the ring, as CardiffCam slaps the shoulder of a semi-conscious Hammond, tagging himself in. CardiffCam kicks KillJoy in the stomach, going for the Welsh Burial, but KillJoy reverses with a back body drop. KillJoy picks up CardiffCam and hits The Pirouette of Doom and goes for the pin, 1... 2.... 3!

Anderson: Here are your winners, Mark Hancock, Chris Jones and The Killjoy!

Hancock, Jones and Killjoy celebrate in the ring, but Hammond comes into the ring with a steel chair. He hits Hancock and Jones from behind. KillJoy turns around but is caught with a vicious chair shot the skull. He collapses to the mat, with drops of blood trickling out from under his mask. Hammond stands over KillJoy and raises his arms with the chair in one hand and his Mayhem Championship in the other.

Copeland: KillJoy and his team won the match, but Hammond is the one standing tall when all is said and done.

Conor: I’m telling you, CC, the guy is the best Mayhem Champion we’ve ever seen!

-----------------------------------------------------

The camera cuts backstage as Scott Hammond comes through the curtain in a hasty stride, clutching his Mayhem title and occsionally looking over his shoulder. He walks down the hall to his locker room and viciously kicks the door open and walks inside. The door makes an odd thudding noise and Hammond turns around to find an unconscious William Teach holding a steel bat in one hand and a piece of paper saying "Plan to win Mayhem title" in the other. Hammond looks at Teach in disgust and shakes his head before picking up his gearbag and quickly leaving for the exit.

Anderson: The following contest is scheduled for one fall!

In Too Deep by Sum 41 hits and Frankie comes out onto the entrance ramp, the Irish flag draped over his shoulders. The crowd boos Frankie loudly as he marches to the ring, pointing and taunting at the crowd.

Anderson: Introducing first, from Dublin, Ireland, weighing in at 238 lbs, Frankie Smith!

Frankie climbs onto the apron and posses to the crowd. USA’s music hits interrupting Frankie who slowly enters the ring with an angry stare. USA walks onto the ramp to a huge ovation.

Anderson: And his opponent, from Corpus Christi, Texas, weighing in at 257 lbs, USA!

Connor: Last week, USA picked up the victory of his career by pinning everest. Now he’s facing the other opponent in that tag match. Jack, with the crowd solidly behind USA, do you think he’ll make it two for two.

Cohen: No. Frankie is just too tough of an opponent. Plus we all know whenever USA steps his game up, he takes two steps backward. You’ll see.

USA enters the ring and the both men stare each other down. Frankie goes to put his flag in the corner as the bell rings. Frankie instead throws the flag over USA and throws wild forearms at him, pushing him into the corner. USA throws the flag off himself and holds his arms over his head as Frankie continues to pour forearms on him. The ref counts to four and pushes Frankie back to center. Frankie with a smile on his face, quickly goes for an ole kick. USA ducks and Frankie’s foot gets caught on the rope. USA kicks the leg out from under Frankie and starts Mudhole stomping him. USA backs off on the count of four and picks up Frankie. USA Irish whips, Frankie reverses. Frankie goes to clothesline USA, USA ducks it. USA stops behind Frankie, picks him up from behind. Atomic drop by USA on Frankie. Frankie hobbles around and slowly turns around to a punch from USA. USA Irish whips him across the ring. Samoan drop connects. USA goes for the cover. 1... 2, Frankie kicks out.

Connor: USA's unstoppable so far Jack, even after that dirty play by Frankie.

Cohen: Frankie is unafraid to bend the rules to gain an advantage, something the boy scout USA wouldn’t know.

USA picks up Frankie slowly and hits a swinging neckbreaker on him. USA climbs up to the second corner and salutes the crowd. Frankie slowly to his feet as USA stands on the second rope. USA for a flying clothesline, Frankie catches him in mid air and uses USA’s momentum and slams him over his head to the mat. Frankie stands up and quickly kicks USA in the side of the head. The ref gives Frankie a warning as Frankie blows him off and starts stomping on USA. Frankie stops on the count of four and slowly picks USA up. Frankie swears at USA then Lariats him hard to the mat. Frankie with the cover, gets a 2 count. Frankie stands over USA and picks him up. Frankie with a boot, USA grabs it. Frankie hits him with an enzigiri. USA crumples to the mat and Frankie quickly rolls him over. 1... 2... USA gets an arm up. Frankie grabs that arm and locks it behind USA’s head, Anaconda Vice. USA cries out in pain as Frankie yells at him to tap.

Cohen: There is no escape for USA now. Frankie has him locked in and isn’t looking to let go anytime soon.

Connor: USA is not far from the ropes. The crowd is clapping for USA, maybe he will make it for them.

USA tries to reach the rope with his leg, but is just short. USA starts punching Frankie in the face. USA crawls closer to the ropes and just gets his foot on. The ref counts and Frankie lets go at four. Frankie picks USA up and goes for The Final Message. USA elbows out of it, grabs Frankie’s head from behind. Old Glory connects. USA drapes an arm over Frankie. 1... 2... Frankie kicks out. The ref starts counting to ten. Both men slowly get to their feet by seven. They start trading punches with each other. USA begins to get the advantage, then Frankie quickly slows him with a boot. Frankie goes for a cutter. USA pushes him into the ropes. Frankie rebounds and USA picks him up for a powerslam. USA frees his arms and lifts Frankie up and falling face forward. Frankie’s throat bounces off the ropes and he turns around slowly. USA sets him up for Rocket’s Red Glory. He connects with it. 1... 2... 3.

Anderson: Here is your winner, USA!

The ref raises USA’s arm and the crowd cheers.

Connor: USA picking up the impressive victory here tonight.

Cohen: A lucky win. Tell me how many titles USA has won, zero. Frankie just had an off day.

Connor: Whatever you say Jack. Either way you slice it, USA is the winner here tonight and he looked impressive.

USA continues to celebrate inside the ring. Frankie rolls outside and grabs his flag and storms to the back. USA looks on and then resumes celebrating.

We cut backstage to Corey Payne who is still looking around and spots the injured Teach being attended to, he keeps walking

Payne: Does he still work here?

He continues walking and runs into Blade.

Blade: On the look for a partner to help your cause?

Payne: It would appear so...say you don't have a match at Redemption now...

Blade: Ha, listen to me Payne, I've got so much more important things to do than help you get your ass kicked.

Payne: We faced off on Meltdown, and I beat you but you put up a good fight.

Blade: You beat me? I passed out, I never tapped out to your damn move. Unfortunately my brain gave up before my heart did and you got lucky. Listen, Payne, I don't need you to get on Redemption because.... I already have a little something planned. Go find some other victim to tag with you.

Payne stares at Blade for a moment before heading off past him with Blade looking on.

Blade: Although... Hmm....

Blade walks off.

Anderson: The following contest is scheduled for one fall!

Skillet hits and the crowd boo loudly as Karnage stomps out onto the entrance ramp, Elite X title around his waist.

Anderson: Introducing first, weighing 287 pounds, the Elite X champion, Karnage!

Karnage quickly gets into the ring, snarling at the crowd as he waits for his opponent.

Connor: Karnage has a huge challenge at Redemption, taking on two of the hottest young stars for his title.

Cohen: It’s nothing that Karnage can’t overcome.

Saliva hits and the crowd let out a pop, as David Cougar emerges with a grin on his face.

Anderson: And his opponent, weighing 213 pounds, Showtime David Cougar!

Cougar slides into the ring, gives a quick glance to Karnage, and gets up onto the turnbuckle for his signature taunt.

Connor: These two have quite a history, Cougar was the first person to pin Karnage!

Cohen: Back when Cougar was actually a good wrestler...

The referee rings the bell as both men walk towards each other, Karnage looking determined and Cougar still grinning. They exchange a few words, before Karnage throws the first punch. Cougar ducks under it, and hits Karnage in the back with a dropkick. Karnage stumbles forward, before rolling out of the ring. He looks up at Cougar with a look of anger on his face as Cougar motions for him to get back in the ring. The crowd boo loudly, as Karnage paces up and down outside the ring. Karnage turns his back to Cougar, looking up the entrance ramp. He starts to walk away from the ring, but changes his mind and turns back around. Cougar runs at the ropes, leaping over them, taking out Karnage on the outside. The referee restarts his count as Cougar gets back to his feet and raises his arm, with the crowd going wild. He picks up Karnage and rolls him back into the ring. Cougar quickly goes for the cover, 1... Karnage powers out. Cougar starts stomping away on Karnage, who is slowly trying to get back up. Cougar grabs Karnage’s arms, wrenching it as Karnage gets to his feet. Karnage pulls his arm forward, bringing Cougar towards him. He uses the momentum to hit a spinebuster on Showtime. He shakes his head quickly, then goes to pin Cougar, 1... 2... Kick out.

Cohen: Karnage has found his opening, now watch him dominate.

Karnage picks up Cougar and hits him with a few right hands. With Cougar dazed, Karnage locks in a sleeper hold. Cougar immediately starts to fade; dropping to one knee as Karnage viciously wrenches Showtime’s neck. Cougar finally falls to the mat, and Karnage uses his legs as a guillotine. With Cougar having no way to escape, he starts to lose consciousness. The referee checks on Cougar. Cougar’s arm drops once, as the crowd scream loudly to try get him motivated. His arm drops a second time as Karnage refuses to relinquish the grip. Cougar arm is about to fall for a third time but he keeps it up mere inches from the mat. Cougar pushes back off his leg, rolling backwards and pinning Karnage’s to the mat, 1... 2... Karange pushes Cougar off him. Karnage quickly gets to his feet and goes right back to work on Cougar with stomps. Cougar quickly delivers a kick to the back of Karnage’s leg, making Karnage drop to one knee. Cougar sees the opportunity and hits an Enziguiri on Karnage. He crawls over Karnage for the pin, 1... 2... Karnage kicks out. Cougar pulls himself up onto the top rope, waiting for Karnage to get up. Karnage gets up and Cougar leaps off the top rope, but Karnage catches him with a spear! With both men on the mat, the referee begins the count.

Connor: These two know each other so well by now!

Cohen: Karnage is clearly the favourite at the moment!

Both men get to their feet at the count of 9, and start exchanging right hands. Cougar blocks one and Irish whips Karnage, but Karnage reverses, sending Cougar into the corner. Karnage hits a running shoulder block in the corner and lifts Cougar up to the top rope. Karnage tries to go for a Superplex, but Cougar blocks it. With Karnage dazed on the top rope, Cougar goes through Karnage’s legs onto the mat. He climbs up on the top rope behind Karnage, and hits a modified version of the Final Act, with Karnage hitting the mat face first! Cougar drapes an arm across Karnage, 1.... 2.... 3!

Anderson: Here is your winner, Showtime David Cougar!

Showtime slowly rolls out of the ring and holds his arms up in celebration, before walking back up the ramp clutching his ribs. Karnage sits up inside the ring, looking furious.

Connor: He’s done it again, Showtime has pinned Karnage!

--------------
We're backstage with Payne again who is standing amongst some props and flags. He's deep in thought and isn't sure on where to go next. He looks up for a moment in the directions of the flags, featuring the Union Jack, The Star Striped Bangle among others. He then pauses and slowly grows a smirk before he walks off again.

Anderson: The following contest is scheduled for one fall!

‘Wanna Be Loved’ starts playing to a huge ovation as the Real World Champion Carmen Bratchny in a referee top walks down the isle followed by his traditional lap around the ring, slapping hands before giving the timekeeper his belt and entering the ring.

Anderson: Introducing your special guest referee. From Moscow, Russia, weighing in at 230 pounds, he is the Real World Champion, Carmen Bratchny!

Connor: Well here comes the referee, surely the man with the best advantage going into Redemption?

Cohen: If he’s smart yes. But play favourites to Titus and Everest will make him pay!

Everest just strolls down the ramp, looking focused and ready for combat, he keeps his eyes focused on Bratchny on his way down.

Anderson: Introducing the participants, from Los Angeles, California, weighing in at 205 pounds, Everest!

Cohen: There you see, he’s focused and will be looking to get himself one step closer to Redemption!

Connor: Looks like he’s more focused on the referee more than anything.

Everest slides in the ring and comes right up into Bratchny’s face, talking down at him, indicating that he wants Bratchny to be fair and show no favouritism.

The crowd erupts as Titus comes out onto the stage, he is clearly moved by this reaction as he gives hi fives to the crowd.

Anderson: His opponent, Kansas, weighing in at 215 pounds, he is the WZCW World Heavyweight Champion, Titus!

Connor: He’s ready and motivated, you can just see it in his eyes!

Cohen: And then he’ll be finished off so easily that he’ll wish he didn’t work the crowd!

Titus climbs in the ring and raises the belt high to the crowd before posing on the turnbuckle. He jumps down and was about to hand the belt to Bratchny but hesitates and gives it to the time keeper. Bratchny ignores this and signals for the bell as Titus and Everest start off circling slowly around the ring before locking up in the middle before Everest shoves Titus backwards which Titus returns with a shoulder block to take Everest down Titus runs at the ropes to his right as Everest lays on his front waiting for him to pass over and is up quickly to catch Titus with a hurricanrana followed by some quick rights to Everest’s head which Bratchny starts counting but Titus stops at 3. Both men get back on their feet as Titus kicks Everest in the leg to knock him off balance, he goes for higher kick but Everest ducks it and lifts him with a backdrop, slamming him to the mat. He goes for a cover and Bratchny starts counting 1……2…kickout. Everest signals at Bratchny to make it faster.

Everest drops a knee on Titus’ chest and gets him up to his feet, irish whipping him and then lifting him over his shoulders but Titus leaps further and lands on his feet and hits a reverse DDT. He gets Everest up and drags him to the corner, slamming his head on the turnbuckle pad, he then lifts him up and drops him with the snake eyes followed by a kick to the head which has him staggered in the corner. Titus then walks out of the corner and runs at him with a clothesline. He walks a few paces away whilst Bratchny checks on Everest. Titus moves Bratchny out of the way and gets Everest up to his knees who then low blows him but Bratchny doesn’t do anything which gets the crowd booing.

Connor: Did, did Bratchny just not call a DQ?

Cohen: He is a referee, he has bad vision, so of course he didn’t see it!

Everest gets up and looks suspiciously at Bratchny who tells Everest to keep focused on the match, Everest shrugs then takes out Bratchny with an enziguri. He turns around to face Titus and has a possessed look in his eyes, he gets Titus to his feet and hits The Rock Slide, he quickly slaps Bratchny on the back of the head before making a cover. Bratchny regains consciousness and counts a slow 1………….2…. kickout by Titus. Everest gets up and in Bratchny’s face arguing that he should be counting properly. Bratchny wastes no time and hits ‘That’s Larceny’ with his own version of The Rock Slide. Titus crawls over to the turnbuckle and climbs up to the excitement of the crowd and goes for a connecting Red Coment on Everest, cover by Titus 1…….2…....3.

Anderson: Here is your winner, The WZCW World Heavyweight Champion, Titus!

Bratchny raises Titus’ hand in victory, he then gets both their title belts but stops and stares at them for a second. He looks at Titus who signals to Bratchny to give his belt, but Bratchny turns and climbs the turnbuckle and poses with both belts to the crowd which gets a mixed reaction. He climbs down and Titus gets in his face, taking his belt back from him but he doesn’t say a word as both men stare each other down and raising their respective belts at the same time.

Connor: As you can see, this is the big picture going into Redemption, who will be the Unified World Heavyweight Champion? Ladies and Gentleman it’s sure to be explosive nonetheless as all three men will give it their all to be the top man of the company. Until then, I am Cat Connors alongside Jack Cohen, we’ll see you at Redemption!
