Okay, everyone's talking about this in terms of just IMMEDIATELY making Cena a heel. This is not the way to do it. As he's already being booed by up to half the crowd in some areas, he should very slowly be transitioned into a tweener. Then, depending on how well that goes over with the crowd (believe it or not, most of the IWC can't read a crowd as well as they think they can), slowly transition him into being a heel. If being a tweener doesn't take so well, and they think being a heel could exacerbate the situation, then slowly build him back up to face status. Now, that being said, I must point out that everyone's talking about how horrid it would be for business. First off, does everyone here have spreadsheets showing how well each individual wrestler's merch is selling? Have we polled crowds to see what they'd think of a given scenario? Do we, the IWC, really study THAT INTENSIVELY what people outside the IWC think? Somehow I think not. You can predict that it would be horrid all you want to. You can say people would flip the channel all you want to. But until we become experts in nielsen ratings and WWE's profits/losses, we can't really know. If creative decides to do it, just do a slow transition, test the waters, and go from there, either direction.
