Does anyone know of places still taking preorders for Mewtwo? I've had no luck finding any good info on were I might be able to pick it up

Mewtwo joins the team! There wasn't as big of a line at the release as I was expecting, but there were 4 other guys there waiting before the store even opened. I probably won't be getting any more amiibos until Wolf Link this spring.

So, what these do is they allow you in Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer to design characters' houses. You can visit houses you have made and give special roles in town to characters. I was completely against having card Amiibos at first. I somewhat still am, but I have some local friends who are Animal Crossing fans and they have fully embraced collecting these cards. They love it! I haven't seen fans of a series take on the challenge of collecting something since the original Pokemon. Nintendo may be onto something here after all. Can you imagine the fortune they'd make if they did Pokemon Amiibo Cards?

I'm not too bothered about the Amiibo cards but they have announced they will release some for Pokken tournament.

The detail on this is incredible, I tried to take one of the back but you couldn't make it out. The work that's gone into the feathers and tail is sublime. Really one of my favourite Amiibo's.

I much prefer the colours of this ROB than the normal. See the comparison picture to realise why.

That puts my Amiibo collection at 70. Mega Giant Yarn Yoshi is in the post, I don't have any of the 8 Animal Crossing ones yet and Shovel Knight has been delayed until the 11th December.

Mark your calendars guys because January 22nd 2016 is going to be a big day. Lucas for Smash Bros, a few Animal Crossing Amiibos, and even the 2nd set of Animal Crossing "Card Amiibos" will be released that day in the US. Shovel Knight got pushed back to January as well.

I found the modern colors version of the 8 Bit Mario Amiibo at Walmart tonight. Pictures coming soon. The obligatory pic of him next to the classic colors 8 Bit Mario, and more. Next up for me is going to be Lucas! He will of course pose next to Ness for pictures upon purchase.

After importing from Japan Famicom ROB is getting a western release. March seems to be the date, throw in Roy and Ryu and it's a 3R month.

In other news Shovel Knight has been delayed in the UK as it's being held up in customs.

Shovel Knight! The first third party Amiibo and it's pretty darn good. One thing I really like is that you can use the Amiibo from within the box so that means I can use it as is.

I still need to get the 8 Animal Crossing ones and the four that come out at the end of the month. They don't seem to be selling well as their prices have dropped a lot.

Lucas arrives soon as well, Ness needs a pal!

Shovel Knight is already released. This coming friday is a big day for Amiibo collectors! Lucas is the main priority for me. Roy is a must when he gets released, while Roy and the Famicom version of ROB are also very tempting. My excitement for Wolf Link grows with every day too.

They have announced that the Legend of Zelda set of Smash Bros Amiibos will be compatible with the Twilight Princess remake. Each will have a cool function.

Including this in the list as well since it is (obviously) compatible in the game, even though it is not one of the Smash Bros Zelda Amiibos. It will be used to unlock a new temple and also be used for importing data from Twilight Princess.


This is awesome, I bet this will make people want to go find these Amiibos if they did not already have them. Can't wait to try them out when the remake is released.

Regarding Twilight Princess Amiibo I'm not sure I like the idea of replenishing hearts and arrows, sort of defeats a lot of things about the game.

I do like the receive twice as much damage, if I remember Twilight Princess is a very easy game so having that challenge may help.

An extra dungeon is always cool too.

On friday I got the remake of Twilight Princess for the Wii U alongside a collector's edition strategy guide and the Wolf Link Amiibo. I thought it was only fitting to switch it up for this image, and have the Wolf Link Amiibo posing on the Zelda guide as opposed to the Smash Bros guide that nearly every other Amiibo has posed for a picture on previously. Love the design. Easily one of my favorite Amiibos so far.

I love the Mario picture of the five, throw in Smash Mario and Dr. Mario and it'll look great!

Also have Ryu and Roy who are released next week. Leaving Famicom ROB for now as I imported the Japanese one but I'll get the EU packaging because I'm weird like that.

This is going to be another big week in Amiibo releases. A number will be coming on 3/18 from Animal Crossing, Smash Bros, and Shadow Mewtwo from Pokemon Tournament! We also will have the 3rd lineup of Animal Crossing cards. There's also announced release days for a Kirby series of Amiibos for this summer and more from Animal Crossing.

Here's the Roy Amiibo! That's probably my last purchase for a while. I'm not looking to get the Kirby ones (although my mind might change between now and June) and I don't play Animal Crossing. I saw Ryu while at the store this week, maybe next time.

So Amazon UK have a massive sale with Animal Crossing Amiibo. I ordered 10 of the 16 of them for a total of £35. If I got these at launch it'd be about £110. With Prime delivery as well they'll be here tomorrow.

So that leaves 6 AC Amiibo, Wolf Link, Golden Mega Man (Going to have to import that), the five new splatoon ones and the four new Kirby ones.
