You're The Booker: Invasion Angle

The point of the thread is to take an angle or moment from wrestling, and re-book it to, in your eyes, make it better. With this being the Invasion angle you start with the wrestlers that were involved in that angle. So sorry, but no Hogan, Nash, Flair. It has to be limited to the wrestlers that were involved since the beginning, that also means no KroniK. But other than that you take it from the beginning, and book it how you like. Push who you want, make the angles you want.

Straight off, I wouldn't have made this a main event angle. Yeah on paper it might have deserved it. But in reality they didn't have enough main event wrestlers to pull it off. They had Booker & DDP, and as a result they had to add Austin & Angle to keep it going. So in my version it would be a big angle, an important angle. But it wouldn't be the main part of the show.

First off, the only title would be the WCW world title. No tag or US titles.

My two main WCW guys would be DDP & Booker. To go against them I would have had two WWE main event wrestlers. Not Austin, he was WWE cahmpion. I would have used Angle and Jericho. I'm not going to go into great detail. But most of the mid card wrestlers involved would be gone. WCW wrestlers like Kidman, Palumbo, Kanyon etc all gone. Pain holiday if you will. I'd probably keep the WCW wrestlers to a minimum. The two main eventers, Lance Storm, Mike Awesome and maybe another.

Where are the ECW wrestlers you ask? Well, there would be two. RVD & Rhino. And they wouldn't appear until Summer Slam, when the next phase of the feud would take place.

A bit of a rush job, but I'm sure you get the point.

The way I would've played it out is as follows:

Shane appears on Nitro claiming he's the new owner of WCW. Big shock. Over the next months Vince wants to know how Shane was able to coordinate this under his nose. Shane is played as a heel. Shane brings in his champion, Booker T, claiming he's better than what WWE has to offer. Concurrently, Austin's still engaged in his post-Mania feud with BikerTaker, but begins a war of words with Booker since they're both World Champions. At Judgment Day, Taker beats Austin with the help of Booker T, ending that feud and turning Austin face in the process. At the King of the Ring you set up Austin vs. Booker for their first encounter, non-title, leading people to believe Austin will win. Big Show turns on Austin and Bookers wins the match to end the show. The next night Shane reveals his match with Big Show months prior was a ploy, and then reveals how he was able to orchestrate everything: Eric Bischoff.

Bischoff is revealed as the man who sold WCW under Vince's nose, and is an equal financial partner to Shane in the entire deal. Bischoff then says he has another surprise and brings out brings out Scott Steiner/Goldberg/Nash/Flair/whoever. That sets up next month's PPV: Team WWE/F (Austin, Jericho, Taker, Rock, & Kurt Angle) vs. Team WCW (Booker, Show, DDP, Mike Awesome, and any big name WCW star they wanted to throw in like Steiner, Goldberg, Nash, etc.). Near the end of the match Jericho turns on the Undertaker, allowing Booker T to pin him. Taker is pissed and demands a match with Jericho, but Jericho goads him into putting the WWE Title on the line.

So at Summerslam you have marquee matches in a WWE Title match between Taker and Jericho, and a WCW Title match between Booker and Austin. Jericho wins the WWE Title via shenanigans and Austin wins the WCW Title in a massive clusterfucker of a pay-per-view closer. Also, at the show a match between Vince McMahon and Eric Bischoff takes place with Smackdown on the line. Vince wins the match, but a Dusty finish is pulled as the referee is former WCW referee Nick Patrick. Vince wins through nefarious means, but is disqualified post-match giving Bischoff the win, and Smackdown goes to WCW. It's renamed WCW Nitro.

Everything comes to a head at Survivor Series with the traditional elimination match with the stipulation being that if WCW wins, ownership of WWE transfers over to Shane McMahon (with the idea being that he'll kill the promotion) and if WWE wins, WCW can never appear on another WWE program ever again. WWE obviously wins. But Bischoff breaks up the party, revealing that while WWE won, WCW still has control of Smackdown because it was never on the line. Jericho, despite being a member of WCW, is still WWE Champion after Survivor Series, so he has a target on his back with the story being he can only stay in the WWE as long as he holds the belt. That's when I would have Paul Heyman introduce ECW and they would primarily be there just to help Jericho get away with title wins. So everyone's chasing him, until he finally loses the belt at Wrestlemania 18 to a returning, super babyface Hulk Hogan. Jericho and the rest of the ECW team members would then move to WCW and that would be the end of WWE vs. WCW.

I can do it however I want you say??

Well then. All hatchets buried. whatever money is necessary. The big guns are coming. Sting. Goldberg. Booker. DDP. The NWO. All of em. This happens one by one, probably monthly, at a PPV, or a RAW, Sting being spotted looking down from the rafters being the last of them. This is WCW Fighting to Survive.

We have a big 8 man tag match showdown. The first time any of them touch each other. Say, oh, Sting, Goldberg, Booker, and DDP Vs Austin, Rock, Taker, and Triple H. In the Undercard, NWO Vs Angle, Jericho, Benoit. Something of the sort.

Only during the ME....ECW guys come flying out of the woodwork. Out of the crowd, from backstage. Sabu, Sandman, Raven, Dudleys, RVD. Like fucking gangbusters. Blood and weapons every were.

Turns, out Steph purchased them, Shane owns WCW, blah blah. The mid carders from both eventually trickle in. Then we have a huge showdown, all the promotions against each other. Survivor series. Triple threat matchs. A couple of old style matches. round robin like. Keep score of the falls scored, the amount of survivors. Whoever wins, takes all. Hulk Hogan enters in glorious red and yellow, returning to WWE, as the mystery 5th partner in the final match, with WWE down a few falls.

Everyone breaks even. Then We have a Draft.

WWE RAW is on Mondays, ECW is on Teusdays, WCW Nitro is on Fridays. They evolve from there, with all three brands involved in PPVs.
