Your next TNA Tag Team Championship feud: Beer Money vs. MCMG's

D-Man

Gone but never forgotten.
We are witnessed it at the Final Resolution PPV... Beer Money was successful against Ink, Inc. and the Motor City Machine Guns successfully defended their TNA world tag team titles against Generation Me (again). That means these two teams earned the right to go at it one more time.

I always enjoyed their feuds. These are truly the two best tag teams in the world and for good reason. But I also feel that Beer Money have always been better poster children for the TNA tag titles, especially with their momentum as being a part of Fourtune. Plus, since AJ Styles lost his Television title, Fourtune is lacking a little bit of gold. It's only fitting that Beer Money goes for the gold again.

Let's discuss this upcoming feud in here.

Yea I'm Very Excited for this Feud, their feud early was Great and Produced Phenomenal Matches. MCMG and Beer are the two Best Tag Teams in the World right now. I have really Loved the Guns reign with the Tag Belts they Great Matches but I think that by the end of this feud that Beer Money will walk away with the Titles, Like I said the Guns has been Great but I think its time for Beer Money to win the Titles. Should be another really good feud

This will be an exciting feud, in the past they have put on very entertaining matches and I expect more in the future. The MCMG and Beer Money are two of the greatest tag-teams in the world right now and I can't wait for this upcoming series. I feel the guns should come out on top when this one is all said and done. I feel he guns have just a bit more left in their reign atop the tag-team scene. But then again, It wouldn't be too much of a shocker if Beer Money walks away from this feud as the new TNA Tag-Team Champions.

I'm glad this is happening again, but I saw it coming from a mile away. Ink, Inc. isn't really going anywhere, GenMe just lost, and there's nobody else in the TNA tag division right now. I'm not complaining, I love the feuds MCMG and Beer Money have put up in the past. I just want something new, y'know? Maybe convince Matt Hardy to cross the line and team with Jeff for the titles. Who wouldn't love to see a Hardyz/MCMG rivalry for the belts?

If they do another gimmick match between the two teams, what could they do?

Cage match at Lockdown?

Anyways I love this. No matter what kind of match it is you just enjoy watching these 2 teams go at it. I think this is the time Beer Money takes the belts though. I can see 1 match at Genesis and then 1 more at Lockdown with Beer Money going over. Fortune/Immortal needs more titles.

First off i just want to say I am not a mark for one tag team in TNA but a mark for the whole division in general.

That being said I'm actually quite disappointed to be seeing this feud happen so early. They have made such a big deal out of the Guns finally winning the titles and now in the near future (probably the next 2-3 months) they will most definitely drop the titles to beer money. If they don't that it a monumental fail in booking being that fortune needs to look strong.

Before dropping the belts I believe the Guns should of had another feud with somebody else. After tonight i had no doubt that it probably should of been Ink Inc. Now i wasn't the biggest fan of these guys in past matches but tonight they got a decent amount of time and put on a hell of a match. A short 2 month feud with the Guns could of elevated them to that next level of being a legitimate tag team, the same status that I believe could now be said for Gen Me.

What ever happened to dominating title runs. I would love for them to hold the straps for 8-10 month reign. Hell even a year, that is the kind of thing that could put you on par with Team 3D's massive record without actually getting that many title wins.

Well i guess in conclusion I will be happy to see these matches as they are sure to be quite awesome. I just wish they came after another feud where the guns could elevate another tag team such as Ink Inc or London Brawling(if they ever reform) while adding meaning to there reign.

That would be nice, and I am looking forward to a Hardy Boyz-MCMG rivalry in the near future. For now, I want to see the Beer Money-MCMG feud, it's been done before but it seems to be a lot more meaningful now.

This should be awesome. This time to start the feud, Beer Money are the challengers and The Guns are Champs. MCMG has defeated everyone there is out there in TNA over the last few months.

Beer Money has been focused on "family business" with Fortune. Now they are focused on regaining the tag titles and must defeat MCMG in the process of achieving that. Should make for a few great months of tag team, and gimmick matches. With Beer Money coming out of this as Tag Team Champions, AND I have a feeling they might come out as Faces.

Didn't we just see this, what, three months ago? So you mean the whole point to that GenMe and MCMG was... Well, to keep Beer Money and MCMG away from each other for a while? Let them just wrestle... Well, no one in particular? I'm sure the matches will be good, but my God, didn't we see these two groups run a decathalon or something against each other not but three months ago?

I'm sure the matches will be great, but really, what's the point of this whole thing? We've already seen these matches ten thousand times, in every gimmick match under the sun already. Cage? Check. Ladder? Sure. Ultimate X? Yeah, got that one too.

You know, for all the shit that the WWE gets for just throwing random teams together from singles superstars, give them this; they at least change up the pairings every so often. This is going to feel like the same thing over and over again.

I think you should look at it differently. They are HANDS DOWN, the best 2 tag teams in the world. Since both teams defeated all the other teams they wrestled, it is only natural for them to meet again to further their feud and the rivalry.

Last time MCMG emerged as the better of the 2 teams. This time, Beer Money should emerge from the feud as the better team.

Then when they meet up again with another feud in a year or 2, it will be even more meaningful and epic. It will be a rubber match, as far as the feud goes.

I don't give a damn how many times these guys go against each other. They could have matches every night for a year, and it would still be awesome to me!

I think the Guns should hold the belt at least 6 months. So, if they lost the belts in a month or 2 to Beer Money, I wouldn't be too upset.

I think TNA's Tag Team Division definitely needs more depth.

Desmond Wolfe is supposed to be coming back from his injury/illness, so maybe London Brawling will get back together.

There are rumors that Haas & Benjamin could go to TNA.

As for now, I don't have a problem with TNA basing their Tag Division around The Guns, Beer Money, and Generation Me.

10 years ago, the WWE did the same with Edge & Christian, The Hardy Boyz, and The Dudley Boyz.

Did they actually say anything last night about Beer Money and The MCMG facing each other, or is everyone just making that assumption? I've been thinking that we'd see the return of London Brawling and they'd get the next feud with The Guns. I didn't hear anything said about Beer Money earning the next title shot, so I'm just curious.

Trouble is there's not that many tag teams in TNA.

There's MCMG, Beer Money, Gen Me and Ink Inc (EY and Orlando don't count and London Brawling seems to be MIA till Wolfe gets better)

So it was only a matter of time before the Guns would face Beer Money again. They've just faced Gen Me and Ink Inc aren't ready to have quality matches with the Guns just yet so it seems only logical to put them up against Beer Money.

The first match of the card between Beer Money and Ink, Inc was for the #1 contender match for the tag titles. Therefore, it's official.

What bugs me is that I have no idea when they actually announced this matchup. I don't remember it being mentioned on iMpact. Oh, well. I'm sure I just missed it in between all of the brawls and mack of actual wrestling on the shows.

There's little doubt that this should be a great feud. I don't know if it can be as good as their feud over this past summer was but these are easily the two top teams in wrestling at this point. They balance each other out very well and there's just a lot to work with. The Guns have a high energy offense that meshes very well with the slower pace of Beer Money. The chemistry is simply just there.

To be perfectly honest, I think that Beer Money is really the only team in TNA that can really have a legit and believable feud with the Guns at this point. The Guns' feud with GenMe had its moments and produced some fun matches, but GenMe just isn't there yet and need some more work. Ink Inc is also a pretty fun team but, like GenMe, they're just not all there yet. One thing that holds these two teams back I think could be the look. GenMe's a fun team to watch in the ring, but they may have the worst look in wrestling. Most of the knockouts look more intimidating than they do. Ink Inc does have a unique look and all but there's just something about it that makes me not want to take them seriously. I think that it might be that, while the look is unique, it also strikes me as just kind of stupid as well.

There is also going to be time now where you may see MCMG interact with Hogan and Flair for the first time. TNA does a good job with keeping the outside interference out of their tag matches which is great. I would like to see Flair and Hogan have some kind of verbal confrontation with them on Impact once this gets under way.

I'm not gonna complain really. They tore the house down with their first feud over the championship. They were some of the most consistently great thing about TNA, and they will remain to be like that for a very long time.

However, I must admit that I think it might be a liiittle bit too soon to start this all over again. Considering the fact that there are other teams for MCMG to feud with from my understanding. So really there was no need to bring back this feud. Especially considering MCMG will most likely go on to defeat Beer Money once again, or Beer Money will go back to being champions, which I really don't think should happen this soon.

Either way, I'm interested in seeing what will happen about this.

All the other teams? You mean TWO? They each beat ONE other team and now they're back to facing one another. They may be the two best tag teams in the world, that's debatable, but it certainly doesn't built up to that by them beating Ink Inc. and Generation Me. What they need is either more tag teams in TNA, or they need to really build them up beating teams from around the world before meeting again to say "the two best teams beat everyone else they wrestled and are now meeting again".

Oh, so it's already predictable and a given what's going to happen in this feud. That makes me really want to watch it and get invested in it when I already know Beer Money's going to win the titles.

Another year or TWO? What the hell are you talking about? They'll meet up in another two months from now. TNA only has FOUR tag teams!

It is hard to complain about something that was so awesome the first time. I do agree that it feels a little quick to go back to it. I had said that I didn't want Beer Money to come back and just cheat in one match to take the belts of MCMG. If that happens I will be disappointed because it will feel like it cheapens what they did before. However, it is really hard not to be excited for them to match back up after seeing just how good beer money works at the PPV. Even if my disappointing scenario transpires then it would be good heat for the heels so I guess it even works in that regard. It almost seems like they have to up the ante in match type even more this time. Is there anything left? Or will they just do a normal match? Has there ever been an iron man tag team match?

These two teams have done everything against each other, but they can still put on the best matches in TNA or anywhere for that matter. It may be a little soon for them to fight since they had a great series of matches a few months ago, but who else are they going to face? Ink Inc. and GenMe have fought MCMG and Beer Money time and time again. Lets be honest, they are not on the same level as The Guns or Beer Money. Maybe later on London Brawling can feud with the Guns.

Fortune has no championship gold at the moment. Beer Money has everything to gain and the Guns have everything to lose. There is no other team compelling enough at this time to face the Guns.

I agree. The feud has been pretty much played out at this point. This small break we had isn't gonna make us forget they had 8 matches in a row. Regardless of how good they were, there's always that feeling of being exhausted of seeing the same thing.

A few weeks on Reaction, all of Fourtune presented interest in challenging all the champions. Roode expressed desire to challenge the winners of Full Metal Mayhem. It was announced during the opening of Impact this week during the opening match.

In my eyes, the feud will probably end quick as this seems like a way to just give the gold to Fourtune.

As great as these teams are, and as great as the quality of their matches are...we did just see this feud a few months ago. I would have preferred TNA to wait a bit longer before restarting this rivalry personally.

However, we are basically guaranteed some more brilliant matches, and I hope Beer Money come out on top this time. I prefer the Guns but as they won the earlier feud, I fully expect Beer Money to walk away with the straps when this is all said and done

I am very excited to see this feud. Sure they have had a lot of matches with each other but just like Rock vs Austin never got old, to me at least, BMI vs MCMG will never lose its charm. Speaking of Rock vs Austin this might as well be the tag team equivalent of Rock vs Austin, at least if we are talking about the present generation.

Another reason why I am interested to see this feud is that this feud will bring MCMG into the main storyline arc. So far MCMG have not been involved with the "Immortal" storyline. This is the best way to incorporate them into the TNA vs Immortal storyline.

So it might be BMI vs MCMG all over again but with a different shade to it now that BMI are a part of the Immortal faction. This feud will have an important part to play in the TNA vs Immortal storyline.

But as far as winning the next match goes, I feel BMI will win that with some sort of interference from the Immortals.

If TNA pulls this off, and doesn't make it seem fresh and new this could really be a signature TNA feud. WWE has the hardy boyz vs E&C vs Dudleyz and so on. TNA could have MCMG vs Beer Money. TNA should really push this hard because there is so much connection and excellent chemistry with these two teams that really makes them the best tag teams in the world. I say TNA go big and really push this feud as it will pay off in the long run. Having Beer Money now shasing the gold is probably the best and most logical idea for the current TNA tag champs and honestly can say I am happy about it and good move TNA.

These two teams are the best in the world at what they do. I recently re-watched the best of 5 series and the matches are amazing, especially when you sit down and watch all five in a row. Unlike Cole Miner, I won't ever get tired of these guys performing. Now that Beer Money is part of Fortune things should get interesting in the feud, I can't wait.
