Nothing pisses me off more than when people leave their families "for love," only to separate from the person they left their family for a few years later. I really don't like to get into people's shit, and I don't like to judge their romantic lives, but, come on!!! Sometimes, people do happen to fall in love with someone else when they are in a marriage, and these people end up spending the rest of their lives together. But, someone who ends up "following their heart" when it turns out that what they felt was only lust, well, I can't help but think that person is shitty (and also flaky as fuck).

I agree. Except, if it's a few years later, chances are, it wasn't lust. They really loved each other.

Still fucked up they disowned their family though.

Thing is no one's perfect and you shouldnt judge them on what they done, if I did that I'd hate my entire family. Fact is everyone makes mistakes and sometimes they fuck everything up and everyone else has to live with the consequences, all you can do is your best is what I've come to learn.

This is true, man. We all make mistakes. Honestly though, I just feel really bad for the people that are left. It would be bad enough if your spouse/parent left you, but it would be even worse if you found out that it wasn't for long-lasting happiness. But, I do agree with you. If someone can admit that they fucked up, I'll always be able to forgive them.

You only live once, and you have to do what makes you happy. You can't waste your life trying to please other people.

That said, you should always do everything in your power to keep your family together. But if it isn't working, it isn't working, and sometimes the best thing to do is to split.

People, just for future reference, I'm not referring to people that are unhappy in their marriages. I'm referring to people whom things are going good for, but who all of a sudden meet someone and fall in lust with them, but see that lust as love. So, I'm referring to people like Ingrid Bergman and Mark Sanford.
