Am I wrong? It is the Hall of Fame. It isn't the Hall of Guys who RPed for a long time or the Hall of Characters who people like.
The Hall should and has been reserved for the best of the best.

What do all those guys have in common? World Championships. Outside of Vengeance they all have a laundry list of accomplishments. Celeste never had that. She was colorful and memorable, but The Hall is there to represent the RPers who accomplish things greater than any other. A single tag title reign isn't enough to get you there in my eyes, no matter how memorable you were. No World Title, no dice.

I agree with Yaz. It's one thing to be loved among fedheads, like S.H.I.T. Another to have ran around with the World Title, the most important belt in the game.

This year I did bring up a sort of celebrity wing. Look at a guy like Numbers. Numbers was, well still is, a fantastic RPer. He never managed to capture the big one, but he had two very good midcard runs and was HoC. Guys like that deserve merit. Not necessarily the Hall of Fame, but something.

Definitely. And it wouldn't have be to an annual thing either. I'd see it as a "once in a while" blast from the past for people that do deserve it who haven't or may never capture the World title.

I'm so against the RPer wing. It'll be 90% the same guys as the character Hall of Fame and just adding the handful of guys who couldn't win a World Championship. It's totally pointless. I hate the idea. If they couldn't win the World Title well that's tough. It's the Hall of Fame not the Hall of Very Good. Reynolds isn't a Hall of Famer and neither is Celeste. Are we really going to add an entire new category for like three people who shouldn't be in the Hall of Fame based on their character alone?

The Hall is still very much a work in progress. When we did the first class, we only indented to do one guy a year, but we realized that would take too long. We aren't married to three a year either. This year the original plan was two, but we ended up with three. There will never be more than three in a year though, it will water down the talent pool.

I agree with Prophet, although for different reasons. There should not be a handler wing. The fed is kayfabe. Outside of some rare cases where handlers and characters had the same name or a few 4th wall breaking jokes, our forum screennames for the overwhelming majority do not exist within the fed's universe. It wouldn't make sense. I detest the WWE's celebrity wing and would not like seeing our fed do anything remotely similar.
Anyways, that was a good listen while I leveled up some classes for my upcoming FF5 walkthrough. Look forward to the next one.

Good podcast Yaz. Keep that fucking dog off it next time though. Kidding. That's just my old man voice coming out again. I don't think quardinating a Battlefield 1 party would be that hard. Name a Saturday , tell everyone the time and time zone the party starts at, and what system is being used. I'm terrible at Battlefield 1 and haven't really found a class I'm comfortable with (tried Medic the most though) but the game is so much fun that I don't care if I'm completely worthless to my team.
