We immediately cut backstage to Leon Kensworth.

Kensworth: My guest at this time...

The camera cuts to the right and we see “Showtime” David Cougar. A loud pop emerges from the crowd as the camera pans out to include Leon in the picture.

Kensworth: ... needs no introduction. Showtime, the world has been waiting to hear your side of the story regarding your future. Have you made a decision that you’d like to share here tonight?

Leon holds the mic up to Showtime. The World Champion removes his shades and adjust his title belt before speaking.

Showtime: Leon, I have made my decision, and it is the same one I had planned to announce at Meltdown 92. The only reason it was not announced at that time is because of my opponent here tonight, Barbosa.

A loud reaction is heard. Cheers mixed in with boos mainly from the women and children.

Showtime: Even though it is the same decision I had made, I have given it a lot of thought since then, and I’m still proud to say that tonight will be the final chapter to the end of our story.

The crowd expresses their disappointment.

Showtime: I’ve had a lot of great moments here in WZCW and a lot of stories I’ve had the ability to share with you all and I’m happy to look back on it. My time here has been the greatest story ever and I want to thank everyone backstage and at home watching for all the memories. None of it could’ve been possible without you. Thank you.

The crowd cheers and gives a respectful applause for Showtime’s announcement.

Kensworth: Thank you for that Showtime. I think we're all grateful for the time we’ve got to see you compete here and we all want to wish you well in your future prospects. Now I want to ask you about your final match tonight against...

Showtime: Whoa, whoa, slow down Leon. Who said anything about this being my final match?

A loud pop emerges from the crowd as a confused Leon tries to answer.

Kensworth: Well you said that this was the final chapter to your story.

Showtime: It is, but you know when a story ends, a new one begins. I’ve spent almost five years in WZCW and it has been an amazing story. Now, I want to begin a new story, one where WZCW will not be the main focus of it. I want to test my limits and see what else out there that I can conquer, but you better believe that there will be more than just a few chapters about WZCW in this story. I will be back, I guarantee you Leon, I will always be apart of WZCW.

The crowd cheers loudly as Showtime puts his shades back on.

Showtime: Barbosa took a moment from me on Meltdown 92 and tonight when he looks to make his defining moment, I will make one of my own and successfully retain my WZCW Title. This story will either end in glory, or in tragedy. I’m gonna do whatever it takes to stand tall in the end.

A loud pop is heard again from the audience as Showtime leaves. The crowd starts a “Let’s go Showtime”, that is soon joined in with a dueling “Bar-bos-a” chants.

Harrys: The following contest is a Gold Rush Tournament semi-finals match, scheduled for one fall!

The WZCW Universe greets the master of swag with loud boos, making sure that Ricky understands that he isn't welcome. However, Ricky enters onto the stage as if the crowd were merely envying him instead of telling him he sucks. Runn looks at the camera, pulls his shades down and tells him "Haters gon' hate" before heading towards the ring with a very cocky walk.

Harrys: Introducing first, from Chicago, Illinois, weighing 225 pounds, "The Swagtastic voice of a generation", Ricky Runn!

Copeland: I feel sorry for Truman Harrys and being forced to introduce Ricky as that. How narcissistic can you be?

Cohen: Who needs narcissism when you've got swag? Besides, since Ricky's new change in persona, he happens to be one of the potential four guys on the roster to gain himself a World title shot at Redemption. What are the downsides?

Connor: Um, looking like an idiot who apparently needs a hip replacement after seeing him walk down the ramp. Does that count?

Copeland: Are you talking about Ricky or Jack, CC? Either way, I'm not going to argue.

Ricky stands in the ring, leaning back against the ropes. He turns his head and sees referee Katie Shepard standing next to Truman. He has a smile on his face and pretends to look chill, making sure he flexes his muscles in the most unusual positions.

The crowd roars with delight as they see the spotlights moving around the arena, catching to see Krypto at the top of the stairs in the audience, proceeding to walk down and interact with the fans as security escorts him down.

Harrys: And his opponent, from Out of this World, weighing in at 200 pounds, Krrrypto!

Connor: The crowd is definitely red hot for our resident extra-terrestrial. In a physical standpoint, he is the underdog of the tournament.

Copeland: As a competitor, you should never count out Krypto. He's got the heart and with the support of everyone tonight, he won't be going down so easily despite what Runn may think.

Cohen: I didn't know you were his brain, Seabass.

Copeland: That's not what I meant.

Cohen: When was the last time Krypto won something big? The mentorship program? Where did that get him? He is only here by sheer luck and I have no doubt that his streak will end tonight.

Krypto makes it to ringside and begins pumping up the fans, running around ringside before sliding into the ring. The music dies down a couple seconds later to hear the chants of the crowd in favour of Krypto, who looks to stand as tall as he can in the middle of the ring.

"Let's Go Kryp-To, Let's Go!"
*CLAP*CLAP*
"Let's Go Kryp-To, Let's Go!"
*CLAP*CLAP*

Ricky doesn't look too bothered by the fans or his opponents as he continues to lean on the ropes. Referee Katie Shepard signals for the bell and the match is under way.

* DING * DING * DING *

The fans still chant as Krypto looks ready to go but Runn doesn't seem too interested. He begins snickering as he walks up to Krypto as cockily as he can, looking down on him before putting his palm on Krypto's head and pushes him away. The crowd boos at the disrespect as Runn begins taunting the audience.

Connor: That's not going to do him any favours.

Runn smirks as he is satisfied with himself, turning around to take care of Krypto. To Runn's surprise, Krypto has springboarded himself from the apron and is flying at Runn, hitting him with a big crossbody to a big pop from the audience. Krypto hops up instantly as Runn attempts to get his bearings, standing up near the ropes where Krypto hits Runn with a dropkick to the face. Runn falls through the second rope and collapses to the outside. The crowd cheers as Runn begins complaining, pulling himself up using the apron but gets a baseball slide to the face, courtesy of Krypto. He stands back up in the middle of the ring with the fans cheering him on. Krypto sees the position of Runn, starting a slow clap in the ring until the crowd chimes in as well and quickens the pace. Runn is recovering on the outside when Krypto rebounds off the ropes, looking for a suicide dive right into Runn! The force sends Runn into the ramp with Krypto landing on his feet. Krypto goes up to the steel steps and climbs them, looking out to the audience who cheer loudly once again for him.

Copeland: Excellent start by Krypto here.

Cohen: And if he doesn't keep on Runn and get him into the ring, he'll lose his momentum. You never want to keep an eye off Runn.

Copeland: Much like Runn doing the same to Krypto, leading us to this point in the match?

Krypto has picked up Runn and tosses him into the ring, shortly followed by Krypto getting on the apron. He uses the ropes to spring over, hitting a leg drop on the way down. He covers Runn...

... 1

... 2

... kick-out by Runn.

He looks to take refuge in a nearby corner as Krypto lets him go, realising what Ricky is setting himself up for. Krypto takes a couple of steps back before charging at Runn, looking for the bronco buster but Runn evades the attack at the last second. Krypto goes groin first, leaning up against the turnbuckles as he sits in pain. Referee Shepard goes to check Krypto but Runn tell her to move as he recovers, heading to the opposite side of the ring. Runn prepares himself as he hits handspring back elbow on Krypto, causing him to smash his head into the corner for a whiplash effect. Runn drags him into the center...

... 1

... 2

... kick-out by Krypto.

Connor: That's got to hurt.

Cohen: Should it?

Copeland: Just because he's not like us doesn't mean he wouldn't have-

Cohen: Hey, hey! Keep it PG.

Runn smiles as he grabs the big head of Krypto and picks him up, delivering a snapmare. He takes a couple of seconds to gloat before running off the ropes, hitting a dropkick to his face. Runn gets to his feet and looks over at Shepard, telling her to "watch this" as he performs a springboard moonsault onto the body of Krypto. He covers...

... 1

... 2

... kick-out again by Krypto.

Runn gets up and approaches Shepard, shooting her his best look before asking her to ask faster, using words like "shawty" and "great rack" to convince her. Sadly, it ends up with Shepard telling Runn off as he apologises profusely. He turns away, trying to get his swagger back as he heads over to the recovering Krypto, kicking him in the stomach and hitting a standing tornado DDT. He sees Krypto in a peculiar position, calling out the word "YOLO" as he runs off the ropes to finish up with the YOLO Roll. He goes for the cover...

... 1

... 2

... shoulder-up by Krypto, keeping himself in the match.

He doesn't look too pleased as Krypto continues kicking out, starting to get a bit frustrated. He begins to calm himself down and reminds himself to "bring the swag."

Copeland: I thought this match would turn into a fast-paced contest but it seems Ricky isn't expending too much energy.

Connor: I'm not sure how that's going to last. It's a smart strategy to conserve his energy for a potential second match later tonight but that's not set in stone yet.

Copeland: And with Krypto continuously kicking out, it's not likely he'll make it.

As Krypto gets up, Ricky plants him with a running face buster. Instead of going for yet another pinfall, Runn decides to go big and begins climbing to the turnbuckles. He gets to the top with the boos hurling towards Runn as he taunts the crowd, preparing himself to take down Krypto. Runn stands up as Krypto gets to his feet and Runn flies off, attempting a clothesline. Krypto dodges the attack as Runn hits the ground with a commando roll, protecting his legs. Runn turns around and goes to charge Krypto but he is met with a springboard kick to the face of Runn! Both men drop to the canvas, looking to take a couple of seconds to recover.

Connor: Krypto has a chance to shift the momentum!

Cohen: Ricky's got the moves, CC. Krypto won't be able to capitalise.

The crowd cheers for Krypto, getting behind him as both men get to their feet. Runn goes over to subdue Krypto but he responds with another dropkick, this time to the knees of Runn who drops down. Krypto remains laying on the ground, extending his legs back and gives a double boot to Runn, who falls back into the turnbuckle corner, in a seated position. Krypto gets to his feet and finds himself in a familiar situation, looking to try once more as he gets the crowd behind him. Krypto charges at Runn and hits the bronco buster on Runn, hitting Runn in the face 5 or 6 times before exiting the corner. Runn tries wiping his face and coughs as Krypto takes a couple of steps back, smacking Runn with a baseball slide. Runn lays on the canvas as Krypto looks out to the crowd, realising that Krypto is about to do something similar to Runn did earlier in the match. Krypto calls out for the "SAUCER" as he rebounds off the ropes, hitting the Rolling Saucer on Runn. He doesn't cover however, standing up and waiting for Ricky to respond.

Copeland: Krypto looking to end the match right here!

The crowd cheer as Runn slowly recovers, lifting up his head to see Krypto staring right at him ready to strike. Krypto spins around, GOING FOR THE ALIENATOR ON RUNN...

... BUT HE DUCKS AND COUNTERS WITH THE RICKY RUNNDOWN INSTEAD! The crowd goes into shock for a couple of seconds as they have witnessed what was supposed to be a victory for Krypto turn into a disaster. Runn stumbles a bit, trying to get his balance as he realises what has happened. A grin forms on the face of Runn and he has a new swagger in his step as he walks past Krypto, climbing to the top with no-one to oppose him. RUNN JUMPS OFF AND HITS THE R&R ON KRYPTO WITH AUTHORITY! Runn slides over and covers...

... 1

... 2

... 3!

Katie Shepard calls for the bell as she declares that Ricky Runn has successfully pinned his opponent. The crowd begins to boo with some crowd members still in disbelief, so sure that Krypto was going to win.

Harrys: Here is your winner and will advance to the Gold Rush Tournament finals later tonight, Ricky Runn!

Cohen: And just as I thought, Krypto wasn't able to come up with the goods and my man, Ricky Runn, has taken the victory.

Connor: And he did it with a statement for the other two candidates by ascending to the top rope and hitting that swanton bomb, showing how dominant he can be. He could've won after the Runndown but he wanted to make sure Blade & Beard were watching.

Cohen: If they were smart, they'd be taking some last minute notes because Runn is on fire tonight.

Copeland: It was a great effort by Krypto despite the loss and hopefully he'll be able to bounce back after this. Tonight just wasn't his night.

We see Runn parading around in the ring as if he was God's gift to everything as Krypto slowly rolls to the outside. Katie Shepard checks up on Krypto but he tells her he is fine, looking to walk up the ramp by himself without help. The fans in the front row give Krypto support as Runn exits the ring and continues to celebrate up the ramp and through the gorilla position.

The camera cuts backstage where Ricky Runn walks to the greeting of his new entourage that consists of Joe Mason, Donny J, and Hollywood Jameson.

Runn: That's one down and more more to go! Let me ask you guys something? Why am I going to win tonight?

Various entourage members: You have swag? Because you're a rap-lic priest? You speak Swaghili and Beard balls in the D-League?

Backstage Bob stops as he is walking by.

Backstage Bob: Because you aren't a fan of books?

Of course all of those are true, but let me tell you why I'm going to win.

Ricky steps onto a nearby equipment trunk.

Because I am the number one living and breathing rock star, the Michael Jordan of wrestling, one hundred percent Jimi Hendrix, complete awesomeness, the nucleus, and of course a god.

Ricky's entourage begins to cheer him as he falls backwards into their arms.

We cut backstage and we see Saboteur frantically pacing around with a humongous blocky cell phone, with an antenna, pressed to his ear.

Saboteur: Come on... Come on... Pick up!

We hear a click on the other end of the phone.

Saboteur: Hello?! I was worried that you might have backed out!

Saboteur listens.

Saboteur: Alright, good. Yeah, I'll see you later tonight. Buh-bye!

Saboteur pulls the phone from his ear and retracts the antenna. The camera zooms in on his face.

Saboteur: Heh, heh. Everything is going according to plan. Huh- Dude?!

Saboteur pushes the camera back.

Saboteur: Personal space much?

The camera fades out.

Harrys: The following contest is a Gold Rush Tournament semi-finals match, scheduled for one fall!

The crowd is on their feet as Blade walks out onto the stage with dark red flashing lights everywhere. He stands at the top and takes in the atmosphere of the crowd before performing his signature taunt and heading down the ramp, hi-fiving the fans and interacting with the little kids.

Harrys: Introducing first, from Dublin, Ireland, weighing 235 pounds, Blade!

Connor: And here comes who most people think is the favourite to win the Gold Rush Tournament tonight, former Eurasian champion Blade.

Cohen: He's definitely a skilled wrestler but the only trait that's favourite about him is the fans. Blade's head has gotten too far in with the crowd and they will only prove to be a distraction.

Copeland: Just how Blade's successful run through the tournament has been plagued by the fans cheering him on? Yes, he should definitely abandon everybody who supports him right away!

Cohen: Exactly, Seabass. You're starting to make some sense!

Blade sees a very young and devoted fan in the audience near the front row and approaches him, giving the kid his sunglasses before giving him a hi-five. Blade slides into the ring, climbing the turnbuckles to perform his signature pose once more before jumping down. He begins stripping down to his ring attire as he waits for his opponent, occasionally speaking to referee Katie Shepard.

Beard comes out slow, staggering in a walk with a towel draped over his head. Ezekiel Hewitt, his new companion, is out with him. He has Beard's hands cuffed as they walk together to the ring.

Harrys: And his opponent, from Beard City, USA, weighing 285 pounds, accompanied by Ezekiel Hewitt, "The Manliest Man in Professional Wrestling" The Beard!

Copeland: Why's he wearing a towel over his head?

Cohen: Perspiration. A big man like Beard sweats quicker than most competitors and I assume he's going to wipe it off him.

Hewitt escorts Beard up the stairs and into the ring. Once in the ring, Beard sits in the corner as Hewitt takes the cuffs off and removes the towel atop his head revealing his new look.

beardredemptioncopy_zps1a079800.png

Copeland: What the...?

Connor: Did... did Beard just shave off his Beard?

Copeland: He shaved off half his face... I don't like the influence of this Hewitt guy

The Beard lifts his head, looking straight into the eyes of Blade who has no idea how to react to this new revelation. Hewitt exits the ring and remains at ringside. Referee Katie Shepard gets between the two and asks the both of them, hesitating when questioning Beard, if they are ready. Blade gives off half an answer whilst Beard continues to look at Blade. Katie shrugs and calls for the bell.

Immediately, the Beard rushes Blade who is almost caught off-guard, getting ready for an attack as he gets backed into a corner. Beard goes to attack but Blade ducks, hitting Beard with an uppercut as he turns around. Beard isn't pleased as Blade goes for another with Beard blocking the attack by grabbing his hand and then quickly hits a spinning belly-to-belly suplex out of the corner. Blade clutches his back as he rolls across to a nearby corner, using it to get to his feet. Beard uses this to his advantage and hits a corner splash, allowing a staggering Blade to walk out and into a sidewalk slam. The Beard covers...

... 1

... kick-out by Blade.

Beard locks on a quick chinlock as Blade seems somewhat surprised by the start of the match, trying to figure out a new gameplan whilst attempting to escape the hold.

Cohen: Whatever Beard did to his hair has given him a new presence in the ring and if all it took was a razor, then Beard should shave off more.

Copeland: He's definitely more aggressive in the ring but it just doesn't look right. How is he The Beard without a beard?

Blade manages to get to his feet and hits a couple of elbow shots to the head of Beard, causing him to let go. Blade gets some steam and looks to gain some momentum but Beard is ready and catches Blade with a snap scoop powerslam. He covers again...

... 1

... 2

... another kick-out by Blade.

The camera shows Hewitt slapping the mat at ringside. Beard gets to his feet and stomps on Blade a couple of times before putting his boot on Blade's throat, using the ropes to gain leverage. Shepard gets to a count of four before Beard stops. He looks out to the crowd who boos him for using dirty tactics before slapping his leg, running off the ropes. As he rebounds off the ropes, Beard tries for a high speed leg drop but Blade manages to roll out of the impact. Beard holds the back of his legs as he gets up, walking into a big spinebuster by Blade. It takes a few seconds for Blade to get his bearings before covering...

... 1

... Beard powers out of the cover.

Connor: Blade showing some fight here and reminding Beard that you never take a breather.

Cohen: Please, Beard has got 50 pounds on Blade and could easily toss him around the ring a couple more times before he'll pass out.

Beard manages to get up to his feet first and hits Blade with a clubbing blow before sending him across the ring. Beard prepares for a back body drop but Blade gets the sunset flip...

... 1

... 2

... kick-out by a surprised Beard.

The camera shows Hewitt frustrated once again. Blade rolls through as Beard gets up, looking to deal some damage but Blade ducks the attempt, wrapping his arms around the big man's stomach and managing to hit a German suplex. The crowd cheers at Blade's use of strength in this match thus far but again, he cannot capitalise for the pin and opts to recover. He gets to his feet and meets Beard who is on one knee, bringing him up and looking to hit a fisherman's suplex. Beard blocks the attempt, not allowing Blade to hit another suplex, countering with a knee to the gut of Blade that causes Blade to stagger, hitting him with a back kick to knock him back towards the corner. Beard approaches and delivers a series of elbows before hitting a shoulder barge. As Blade stumbles out of the corner, Beard begins stomping on the canvas and creates a head of steam, looking for a big boot but once again, the veteran Blade slips behind Beard and hits another German suplex!

Both men are down on the ground and look to recover at the same time.

"BLADE"
"BLADE"
"BLADE"

Copeland: It's been a tough contest for Blade so far, almost as if he's playing defense and picking apart at Beard's mistakes.

Connor: But he's got a chance now to take control of the offense should this second German suplex be enough to tire out Beard.

The chants of the crowd continue as both men get to their feet by a count of 6 with Blade starting off with an uppercut to Beard, this time having an effect as he stumbles back. Blade grabs the throat of Beard and attempts a Chokeslam but Beard manages to escape, picking up Blade for a gorilla press slam... but Blade reverses, sliding behind Beard and wrapping his arms for another German. Beard blocks and goes to swing his elbow but Blade ducks, loosening his grip so Beard swings around and is able to hit Beard with a knee before dropping Beard with a DDT! Beard rolls on his back as Blade gets to his feet, looking to the turnbuckles as he calls out to the crowd.

Connor: He's feeling froggy!

Cohen: Stop referencing Kermit when you do that. Nobody likes Kermit!

Blade ascends to the top and hits a frog splash on Beard...

... 1

... 2

... shoulder up by the Beard.

Blade sits on the canvas, looking a little frustrated at the kick-out but he gets to his feet. The fans begin cheering Blade on who looks out to the audience before signalling for the end. Beard is almost to his feet when Blade takes position, SETTING UP FOR THE BLADE RUNNER but as Blade goes to attempt, he cannot seem to lift Beard this time, almost worn out by the match. He goes to knee Beard but he stops it, pushing Blade back before delivering the big boot...

... Beard shakes his head as he sees Blade looking to get up, running off the ropes to hit a high-speed crossbody on Blade, creating a devastating impact to the body of Blade which crumples to the ground.

Cohen: It's almost like getting hit by a truck!

Beard then grabs the body of Blade and hits the Poetic Justice, driving Blade's head into the canvas before pinning him...

... 1

... 2

... 3!

The crowd boos heavily as Shepard calls for the bell, awarding the match in favour of the Beard.

Harrys: Here is your winner and will advance to the Gold Rush Tournament finals later tonight, The Beard!

Connor: Wow... talk about a complete 360. Beard re-invented himself tonight despite the winning streak and it only increased his chances.

Cohen: It's not necessarily the change of appearance that helped Beard but hindered Blade. Looking as ridiculous as Beard does now is purely for psychological reasons.

Copeland: I wouldn't be saying that close to the Beard if I were you. Blade put up a good effort but it was the Beard's match to take. Good luck to Ricky Runn later tonight, it's going to be a mis-match.

Hewitt crawls into the ring and approaches Beard. Beard stands tall, getting his hand raises by Hewitt as the crowd boos the result. Shepard goes to the outside of the ring where Blade is to check on him as Beard stares into the crowd, pleased with his victory. Blade walks up the ramp with his hands on his hips with the crowd still showing support for him.

We go to a large table set up in the upper level of the arena where Big Dave and Everest are sitting, waiting to discuss the new results from the Gold Rush Tournament. The camera quickly cuts to Jack Cohen, sitting at the announcing table on the floor, where he joins the conversation.

Cohen: As we wait for the next match to begin, let me welcome Meltdown General Manager, Big Dave, and WZCW Hall of Famer, Everest.

Cohen's mic is now booming all over the arena, so the crowd cheers and turns their eyes to the panel.

Cohen: Well, gentlemen, we've now determined the final two men standing in the Gold Rush Tournament, Ricky Runn and the Beard, and they will face off later tonight to determine a new number one contender for the world championship.

The camera goes back to Everest and Big Dave.

Big Dave: Well, Jack, it's not who I thought we'd see at the end of this one, but I got to tell you, I like the Beard. Whatever has gotten into his head has taken him to another level and you can't disagree with me when I say he clearly went through the tougher competition tonight in Blade.

Everest: That might be true, Dave, but Beard's not the only one with an attitude change lately. Ricky Runn is starting to remind me a little bit of myself, and even if you think he did face easier competition tonight, that just means he's fresher and ready to go. I'm going to have to give Ricky the advantage tonight.

Big Dave: Well, in any event, whoever wins tonight is going to have the opportunity of a lifetime to become world champion and I can't wait to see who walks away with that title shot.

The camera goes back to Jack Cohen as the next match comes closer and closer.

Cohen: That match is coming up later tonight folks, as Redemption rolls on!

Harrys: Ladies and gentlemen, the following tag team contest is scheduled for one fall!

Harrys: Introducing first, at a combined weight of 318 pounds, the team of Amber Warren and El Califa Dragon, Los Magnificos Dragones!

Both Califa and Warren come out to the ramp to a great pop before sprinting towards the ring. They slide in and climb a corner each before flipping off them. As they hit the canvas pyro blows from all four corners.

Cohen: Holy sh*t!

Connor: Hahaha, scared you?

Cohen: I'm not used to pyro shooting so close.

Harrys: And their opponent's, representing the Sacrifial Altar, Mason Westhoff and The Grand Mystique!

The Altar emerges on stage. David Whitman included, but after a bit, heads off to the back. The remaining two march down to a chorus of boo's from the crowd.

Cohen: These two are a championship winning duo. I don't think the Dragons can compete.

Copeland: Well regardless, the Alter has had a number of run in's with these two lately.

Cohen: Altar. How come no one ever gets that one straight?

Referee Elizabeth Prince rings the bell to start the match as Amber Warren and Mason Westhoff start.

* Ding Ding Ding *

Amber quickly tries to get a Hammerlock but struggles to turn Westhoff's arm who just looks on perplexed. He walks around the ring dragging her as she just keeps trying to pull. She leaps over him and Headscissors him to the ground. Even Mystique pops at the maneuver. She tags Califa in who Oklahoma Rolls Westhoff.

One!

Tw--

It doesn't even get two as Westhoff gets out and is quick to overpower Califa with a knee shot to the gut. He whips Dragon who slides under Westhoff on the way back. Califa leaps over Mason's shoulders and does his own Headscissors before posing for the crowd.

“We Love Dragons! We Love Dragons! We Love Dragons!”

The crowd chants as Westhoff quickly goes back on the attack. Califa tries to fight back but gets caught in an Exploder Suplex. Westhoff drags Califa to his corner where he tags in Mystique. He raises the luchador up before locking him in a tight Bear Hug. He squeezes tightly for a bit before launching Califa with a Belly to Belly Suplex. Mystique grabs him and tags in Westhoff. Westhoff climbs the turnbuckle and hits an Ax Handle for a cover.

One!.......

Two!..........

Thr-- But Califa kicks out.

Copeland: This is an interesting match. One team is built of two powerhouses while the other is built by two high flyers.

Cohen: Sounds more like bad luck for the masked guy and his kid sister. What kind of tag team is this anyway?

Califa tries to get away from the corner but Westhoff pulls him. He Gorilla Presses him as Mystique tags himself in and kneels for Westhoff to drop Califa on the knee. Amber frantically paces her corner hoping for a tag soon. Mystique whips Califa and then bends over. Presumably for a Back Body Drop, but Califa flips over him and knocks down Westhoff. Mystique turns and Califa charges once again flipping over his adversary to make the tag to the Livewire herself. Like her namesake suggests, she races in and Huricanrana's Mystique. But she isn't able to fully do it. He raises her back up, but she uses the momentum to spin around and finally perform the move successfully. Mystique staggers to the ropes prompting her to Clothesline him over and land next to Westhoff. Califa comes in and leaps over Warren to take out Westhoff. Amber climbs the turnbuckle and leaps herself to take out Mystique as the fast paced offense drives the crowd wild!

Connor: What speed! And you said they had no chemistry, Cohen?

Cohen: They're still an odd pair.

Copeland: That odd pair is flying all over the place.

Elizabeth checks on all the participants before starting to count.

One!

Two!

Three!

All four.... people, start to stagger as the crowd chants for the Dragones duo.

“We Love Dragons! We Love Dragons! We Love Dragons!”

Mystique is the first in, breaking the count and Amber follows. Califa enters and is quickly ordered to his corner by Elizabeth as Westhoff just gets up at his corner. Mystique grabs Amber by the hair and pulls her for a Spinebuster. He stops to catch his breath, but makes the tag to Westhoff. He tries to stay on the offensie, but Amber battles out and charges the ropes. Westhoff tries to catch her coming in put she rolls over him and keeps going. She jumps on the ropes for a Crossbody, but Westhoff catches her and powers her down with an Alabama Slam. He covers.

One!...........

Two!.............

Thr-- But Califa breaks it up.

Mystique gets in too and chases Califa but he pulls down the ropes sending Mystique out to the floor. Westhoff sees Warren vulnerable and quickly hits the Divine Intervention. But Califa hits him with the Rolling Fire Kick! Elizabeth orders him back to his corner, but instead he charges to the ropes and leaps taking out Mystique on the floor once again. Amber barely drapes the arm over Westhoff for the cover.

One!.........

Two!.............

Three!!

Harrys: Here are your winners, Los Magnificos Dragones!

All four participants are still down as Ante Up plays Elizabeth raises Ambers hand as she's barely able to get up.

Cohen: That was a car crash.

Connor: Lets take a look at the action while they get up. We need a replay of that.

Copeland: Those two are very quick thinkers, I'll give them that.

Califa comes in and leaps over Warren to take out Westhoff. Amber climbs the turnbuckle and leaps herself to take out Mystique as the fast paced offense drives the crowd wild!

Copeland: But Warren clearly still has a bit to learn. She won because her partner bailed her out.

Westhoff sees Warren vulnerable and quickly hits the Divine Intervention. But Califa hits him with the Rolling Fire Kick!

We come back live to see Warren and Califa getting their hands raised as Westhoff and Mystique are on the outside.

Connor: Regardless, it's a win for them. It's up to David Whitman to win one for the Altar now.

We cut backstage and see Drake Callahan, with his arms crossed, watching the post-match celebration on a flat-screen in a locker room. He then proceeds to rub his chin before cracking a smirk, and then turning the TV off and walking away. He begins to rotate his wrists as he limbers up for his match later tonight. The camera fades out.

We cut backstage and we see a two-way shot of WZCW Mayhem Champion Vega and WZCW Legend, Titus.

Copeland: Coming up next, we will see two-sides of the WZCW Company. One is a man who has won nearly everything that WZCW has to offer and the other is someone who wants everything, and feels that his record-setting Mayhem Title entitles him to a shot at it. We will find out just how well he sizes up. Titus vs. Vega for the WZCW Mayhem Championship is coming up next!

Harrys: The following contest is scheduled for one fall, and it is for the Mayhem Championship!

Titus emerges from backstage to an explosive crowd that is happy to see one of the greatest names in the history of WZCW.

Harrys: Introducing first, from Keystone City, Kansas, weighing 225 pounds, This is........Titus!

Titus starts to jog down the ring giving hi-5s to friends along the way.

Copeland: Titus is one of the most decorated wrestlers in WZCW history, but one title that has eluded him is the Mayhem Title.

Connor: Earlier this week in an interview with Stacy Madison, Titus gave his thoughts on the Mayhem Title.

Titus: Let me tell you something about the Mayhem title. For every Doug Crashin there's a Steamboat Ricky. That's a former world champion, how is that a step down? Are you saying Drake Callahan and Ty Burna are steps down? Are you saying that the current world champion is a step down? Tell me Stacey, is it really a step down?

Stacey: Well...I...

Titus: No one in this company has a greater legacy than my friend and rival Everest. He is the first to be inducted into the WZCW hall of fame and gave me some of the best matches in my career. Is he a step down?

Stacey: Yes, I suppose you're right.

Titus: There are two individuals in company history who will go down as legends who have not held the belt. Big Dave is one and the other is yours truly. This is not a step down but a step in the right direction. They say that belt changes you and dethroning the greatest Mayhem champion of all time will only increase my legacy.

Cohen: Yeah yeah, we all know how great Titus is and how he used to be one of those big names that he rattled off, but the key phrase there is, “used to.” Today, Titus is the past, Vega is the future, and we’re going to see that tonight!

Titus slides into the ring and runs across the ring to a turnbuckle. He ascends the turnbuckle and points to his fans, flashing a smile to his loyal supporters.

Vega comes out from backstage with Alexis wrapped around his left arm, and his Mayhem Title draped over his right shoulder. He slides the championship belt into his hand and thrusts it above his head for all to see before cockily tossing it over his shoulder and slowly walking down to the ring.

Harrys: From Las Vegas Nevada, weighing in at 185 pounds, he is the Mayhem Champion, The New King of Mayhem, VEGA!

Copeland: Vega’s been asking for better competition for months now, and since KC he has finally gotten his wish. However, he was unable to defeat either Barbosa or Showtime. Does he have what it takes to knock out another one of WZCW’s top names in Titus?

Cohen: Absolutely! The only reason Vega didn’t beat Barbosa and Showtime is because of crazy outside circumstances. But this is a Mayhem Title match, and this is Vega’s home turf! The champ will retain when he’s in his element.

Connor: This is Titus’ match to lose, Copeland. Vega has thrived in a division where he’s faced sub-part competition, but as soon as he was upgraded he floundered. Vega might be better than most of the roster, but he’s not ready to fight against the best of the best, and that’s what Titus is.

Alexis climbs onto the ring apron and holds open the top and middle rope for Vega, and the Mayhem Champion ducks into the ring. He ascends to the nearby top turnbuckle and poses for the fans as Alexis applauds him from the ground.

Copeland: Ladies and gentlemen, this may be one of the biggest Mayhem Title matches in company history! The longest reigning Mayhem Champion clashes with the two time World Heavyweight Champion looking for his first Mayhem Title win. Will the self-proclaimed King reign true, or will the hero stand proud at the end of it all?

Vega and Titus are glaring at each other from opposite sides of the ring, and the ref takes this moment of relative tranquility to call for the match to start. The bell rings, and we are under way.

Titus and Vega both seem to be awoken by the bell, and they charge at each other, meeting in the middle of the ring. Titus cocks his arm back to deliver a big punch to Vega, but the Mayhem Champion’s youth serves him well as he is able to beat Titus to the punch quite literally, knocking Titus’s jaw back with a well placed left jab. Vega continues the Muay Thai punch combination with a right jab, left hook, and finishes it up with a right uppercut that knocks Titus backwards. Vega uses this newly created space to take a running start. He leaps at Titus with his arm pulled back, but we may never know what the Mayhem champ had in mind as Titus thrusts his shoulder into Vega’s midsection, catching the champ and dropping him onto an outstretched knee for an inverted atomic drop! Vega bounces off the knee in extraordinary pain, and Titus uses this as an opportunity to drop Vega with a swinging neckbreaker from behind. Titus makes the cover.

ONE!

TWO!

KICKOUT!

Vega gets his shoulder up and pushes away from Titus. Titus stands up and takes a few steps back to set up for a knee drop. Titus drops the knee right into the kidneys of Vega, and rolls the champ over for another cover.

…

…

Titus looks to see what’s preventing the count, and he sees Alexis on the ring apron, arguing with the referee. Titus gets to his feet and jobs over to the scene but instead of breaking it up traditionally, Titus throws his weight onto the top rope causing Alexis to lose her grip and sends her crashing down to the floor. The WZCW fans cheer as Titus deals with the obnoxious distraction, but those cheers soon turn to cries of warning as Vega sneaks up behind Titus and takes him down with a BJJ leg trip. Vega pounces on Titus and starts throwing mounted punches down on Titus, who is fortunately able to cover up to avoid any serious damage. Realizing he is not doing as much damage as he possibly can, Vega releases the mount and twists Titus’s left arm into a keylock. Vega is unable to lock in the full keylock, but damage is still being done, and Titus struggles to break out.

Connor: Good back and forth early on. Titus was able to take out Alexis like he said he would, but it appears he's run into some unforeseen complications.

Cohen: That was a plan worked to perfection by Vega and Alexis. They knew Titus would try something like that, and Vega was able to capitalize.

Copeland: But at what cost? Alexis is still on the floor and she seems to be in pain.

Sure enough, Alexis is sitting against the security barricade and holding her ankle in pain as a WZCW doctor attends to her.

Back in the ring, Titus is able to roll Vega onto his shoulders, and the ref starts to count.

ONE!

TWO!

Vega releases the hold, and thus breaks up the pin attempt. Titus quickly gets back to his feet and rolls his left arm, trying to bring some feeling back into his shoulder. Vega has disappeared from the ring, but is soon captured on camera rifling underneath the ring, and emerging with a kendo stick.

Cohen: How’d that get under there?!

Vega slides back into the ring, and Titus sees what the Mayhem Champion has in mind. With nowhere to run and nowhere to hide, Titus meets Vega in the middle of the ring as the champ readies a swing towards Titus’ neck. Titus throws his left arm up to block the blow, and while he does take some definite damage, Titus is able to throw a kick to the gut of Vega that doubles him over, and Titus capitalizes with a traditional DDT. Vega is on the ground, but Titus doesn’t make the cover. Instead, Titus picks up the recently dropped kendo stick. He studies the kendo stick and looks to the audience, cheering emphatically for their hero to use the weapon against Vega. Titus walks over deliberately to Vega, and the Mayhem Champ knows that he’s at Titus’ mercy. The Mayhem champ begs on his knees, pleading for Titus to reconsider what he’s about to do. Titus pays little attention to Vega’s pleas and raises the kendo stick above his head… but Vega hits a low blow! Titus pauses, but the low blow seems to have no effect on the Keystone original, and Titus returns the favor with a hard crack over the head with the kendo stick. Vega is out cold, and Titus makes the cover.

ONE!

TWO!

KICKOUT!

Vega gets his shoulder up and again rolls out of the ring.

Copeland: How in the world was Titus able to shrug off that low blow?!

Titus turns to the fans and starts drumming on his crotch with his palms, and it becomes obvious he is wearing protection.

Connor: Titus had a cup on! Good preparation on his part!

Cohen: Only cowards wear cups, Cat. Back in my day we took low blows like men!

Vega slides back into the ring, and this time he has brought a steel chair in with him. Titus takes a swing at Vega with the kendo stick, but Vega blocks it with the steel chair. Titus tires this two more times, but each time Vega is able to shield himself from the damage with the steel chair. Titus takes one last swing with the kendo stick, but Vega blocks it with the edge of the chair, causing the kendo stick to break in half. Without a weapon to stave off Vega, Titus is helpless to take a blast from the steel chair to his cranium. He drops like a ton of bricks, and Vega makes the pin.

ONE!

TWO!

THR…

KICKOUT!

Titus gets his shoulder up much to the relief of the fans, but he is unable to get to his feet. Instead, he rolls onto his stomach and slowly tries to push himself up. Vega sees the weakness in his opponent and decides it’s a good time to ascend to the top rope and take a stroll. Vega walks to the middle of the rope and stands there for a moment to pose, provoking the Redemption arena to rain a chorus of boos upon him. Vega relishes their hatred, and smiles as he springs from the top rope looking for a senton… but nobody is home on the other end! Titus sees the attack coming and rolls out of the way and all the way out of the ring at that. Vega crashes to the mat, but seems to be okay as he quickly gets to his knees. Puzzled in regards to the whereabouts of his opponent, Vega’s head darts around trying to find Titus. Titus makes himself known as he stands up on the outside of the ring, but he has something in his hands.

Copeland: Is that a… is that a pair of bolt cutters in Titus’ hands?

Sure enough, Titus reaches the bolt cutters to the top rope and the ring, and before Vega can stop him, Titus cuts the top rope, causing the whole ring to lose the highest rope. Titus smiles back at Vega as he waves the bolt cutter around, and seems to be quite pleased with himself. Vega looks to the ref, arguing with the official about the state of the ring, but the referee calls for the match to continue. The audience cheers as Vega throws a fit in the ring, but things are also developing on the outside. Alexis is back on her feet and has hobbled over to Titus. Without hesitation, Alexis grabs the bolt cutters from Titus, and Titus easily lets go of them, causing Alexis to fall flat on her butt. Titus turns around to reenter the ring… but instead a knee enters his face as Vega comes flying over the top rope!

Copeland: Oh my goodness! Let’s see that again!

Vega is standing on the opposite side of the ring as Alexis grabs the bolt cutters from Titus. Titus lets go of the bolt cutters, causing Alexis to fall on her butt. As this happens, Vega takes a running start and jumps over the top rope with his knees extended. Titus turns around just in time for those knees to crash into his face.

We come back from the replay to see Vega roll a barely conscious Titus back into the ring. He starts to climb to the ring apron, but is called to by Alexis. Alexis extends the bolt cutters to Vega, which Vega accepts with a devious grin. He quickly climbs back into the ring and approaches a kneeling Titus with the bolt cutters raised above his shoulder. Titus doesn’t have the time or the knowledge or the impending attack to duck it, and Vega blast Titus in the back of the head with the bolt cutters. Titus goes down, and the ref makes the count.

ONE!

TWO!

THREE!

Vega gets to his feet as the ref calls for the bell. Titus, on the other hand, is not as fortunate and lays completely motionless on the mat. The ref hands Vega the title belts, and Vega celebrates in the middle of the ring with Alexis while WZCW medical personnel rush to the ring to check on Titus.

Copeland: What a vicious way to win the Mayhem Title… Titus still isn’t moving.

Cohen: Titus knew the danger when he got into this match. Vega showed that when it comes to Mayhem, he is the one true king! Nothing is too vicious for this man. Nothing is off limits.

Connor: Forget the Mayhem Title for a second, Jack! Titus could be seriously hurt!

Cohen: You can never forget about the title, Cat. That’s why Vega won: he never takes his eyes off of the prize.

The medics in the ring help Titus back to his feet, and by some small miracle Titus seems to be able to stand up under his own power. The medical personnel start to lead him out of the ring, but he stops them and turns back towards Vega. With a vengeful look in his eye, Titus points at Vega and then very deliberately shakes his head. The medical personnel, hoping to avoid further conflict, hurry Titus out of the ring.

Copeland: What was that?

Cohen: Foolish.

Connor: That was Titus saying that he’s not done with Vega. I don’t think this feud is over.

Copeland: Tonight, David Whitman has a chance to redeem the Altar. Drake Callahan has pretty much mounted a crusade against them and has taken out DC, beaten Grand Mystique and Whitman himself.

Cohen: I think he can do it. He is the chosen one of the group for a reason. If of them can do it, it's him.

Harrys: Ladies and gentlemen, Redemption continues with the following contest, scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Cleveland Ohio, weighing 215 pounds, Drake Callahan!

Drake emerges with his usual cocky swagger. His arms stretched out as the crowd pops for his appearance. He marches down the aisle before hoping into the ring awaiting his opponent.

Connor: He's had one up over several members of the Altar over the past few weeks. Los Magnificos Dragones did so tonight. Can he keep it up too?

Harrys: And his opponent, representing The Sacrifial Altar, David Whitman!

Copeland: Whitman has to feel like he has a chip on his shoulder. In a sense, he's seen as the blue chipper of his group. Yet he hasn't been able to really show much of that since DC was hurt.

Cohen: Wait, where is he?

Drake looks up the ramp waiting for his opponent, but David Whitman slides in from the back and attacks him from behind as referee Dillon Morse rings the bell to start the match.

* Ding Ding Ding *

Whitman clubs Drake over the back of the head and stomps off on him after knocking him down. He follows up with several Knee Drops over Drakes body before finishing up the assault with a leaping Leg Drop. Whitman makes the first cover of the match up.

One!..........

Two!.................

Thr-- Kickout!

Drake pushes the shoulder up but David is quick to keep the offense up with several more stomps. He drags Drake's limp body over to the edge of the ring and gets out before raising the former World Champions leg and slamming it on the edge of the ring as the referee begins to count.

One!

Copeland: The apron area is the hardest part of the ring. It seems Whitman wants to ground Drake Callahan. Drake likes to be quick on his feet, so this might not bode well for him.

Cohen: Just what kind of injury would bode well for him anyway?

Two!

Three!

Drake writhes in pain as Whitman hammers away on the knee. Drake recomposes himself and pulls on the leg before shoving Whitman off. He slides out to ringside as David tries to stay on the attack, but Drake puts him in a Russian Legsweep, sending David Whitman back-first against the apron.

Four!

Connor: Looks like the tide of the match is finally in Drake's favor.

Five!

Drake shakes the leg and grabs Whitman, throwing his limp opponent back in the ring.

Six!

The count ends as now both men are back in the ring. David tries to get back up but is met with chops to the chest. Both men back on their feet, David tries to battle back with his own set of chops as the crowd “Yay's” for Drake and “Boo's” for David. David delays a shot which puzzles Callahan. The small moment of confusion is enough for the TSA member to rake his opponent's eyes.

“Altar sucks! Altar sucks! Altar sucks!”

The crowd chants as Whitman uses the opening for a Nothern Lights Suplex. He bridges it, but the referee refuses to count. Instead admonishing Whitman for the eye raking.

Cohen: Hey, do your job ref. Shoulders are down.

Connor: But he raked Drake's eyes.

Cohen: So? The shoulders are still down.

Whitman gets up and stares at Dillon Morse who frantically reminds him he's official. Whitman may look expressionless, but he's clearly not pleased with Dillon's actions. Dillon backs off and Whitman takes steps towards him. But the confrontation ends up interrupted by a roll-up from Drake!

One!..........

Two!..................

Thr-- Kickout!

Drake only gets two as he slowly tries to get back up. Shaking his leg a bit before continuing. He grabs both of Whitman's legs and points him towards a turnbuckle before he catapult's him. But Whitman lands on his feet. He measures Callahan before leaping off for a Crossbody, but Drake spots him and reacts by Dropkicking him in the air. The major impact is followed up by a hook of the leg from Callahan.

One!.............

Two!......................

Thre-- Kickout!

Dillon says Whitman got his shoulder up at 2.

Copeland: Wow, that last one was really close. Drake is one step ahead of Whitman right now.

Drake grabs the injured David and signals for the Faded Memory. He facelocks Dave and lifts him, but Dave slips through the back and rolls him up!

One!...........

Two!...................

Thr--Kickout!

Drake kicks out and quickly goes back on the attack with a Back Suplex.

“Who wants to see it?!” Drake screams to the crowd who cheer on in response.

“Lets Go Drake! Lets Go Drake! Lets Go Drake!”

Drake goes up to the top rope and signals for his Elbow Drop. He leaps and hits it as the crowd goes wild. He facelocks the staggering Whitman and raises him. Powering him down head-first with The Faded Memory and a cover.

One!...........

Two!................

Three!!!

Harrys: Here is your winner, Drake Callahan!!

Copeland: Impressive performance by Drake Callahan. David Whitman tried but the former World Champion still remains more experienced and cunning.

Connor: Hey!

Drake's celebration is cut short as Mason Westhoff and Grand Mystique jump in and attack Drake. All three men assault him with punches and stomps on the ground as the bell rings multiple times but to no avail. Or point. The assault continues and eventually Grand Mystique instructs Whitman and Westhoff to pull Drake onto his feet, no doubt with evil intent

The Dragones race down as The Altar drops Drake and backs off into defensive positions. The Dragones reach the front of the ring and Mystique barks an order, Whitman and Westhoff slipping out of the ring behind him and into the crowd. The Dragones slide into the ring but Mystique immediately backs off, and the Sacrificial Altar disperses into the crowd. El Califa Dragon runs to the ropes and stares after them as Amber Warren, behind him, tries to help Drake to his feet. She helps him to one knee and he shrugs her off, stumbling to his feet alone. He meets her concerned eyes with a blank stare, perhaps about to say something but El Califa Dragon turns around and he and Drake's eyes meet.

Copeland: These two have some serious history. Drake constantly accused Califa of being Ty Burna in disguise before Lethal Lottery this year and had a heated rivalry, the two of them trying to do lasting harm to each other over it. I'm not sure I like the looks of this...

Amber walks over to El Califa and says something to him, but the two old enemies merely keep staring at each other, Drake's eyes burning, El Califa's obscured through his mask. Drake upper lip curls upward and he merely gives a curt nod toward El Califa. Amber continues talking at him, gesturing, and he finally looks at his partner and nods at her, the Dragones exiting the ring. They walk around and Drake never takes his eyes off of El Califa, watching him walk up the entrance ramp with an imperceptible expression on his face.

Copeland: Who can say what those two are thinking, but if nothing else Drake owes the Dragones some thanks for backing off the Sacrificial Altar - for one night at least!

We cut backstage and see the "Elite" Steven Holmes and Celeste Crimson holding hands as they trek down a hallway to the gorilla position. Suddenly, Rebecca Serra, pops up out of nowhere and pegs Holmes and Celeste with a question.

Serra: Holmes and Celeste, if you have a moment. You are about to go up against Saboteur and his mystery partner tonight. I have to ask, are you two nervous?

Holmes and Celeste laughs.

Celeste: Nervous? That is minor league stuff Serra, honey. It doesn't matter whose Saboteur's partner is tonight. When he goes up against my love who is a former WZCW World Heavyweight Champion, and myself-

Holmes interjects.

Holmes: The greatest WZCW Superstar to never hold a championship. That is, until tonight.

Celeste and Holmes share a kiss.

Celeste: They will bow to us for mercy. Tonight is the rebuilding of our kingdom that we lost several weeks ago. However, we are rejuvenated and madly in love as ever. We are deadly on our own, but side-by-side we are unstoppable.

Holmes: And as for that sniveling git, Saboteur, I will address him when we make our way out to the ring!

Holmes and Celeste storm off as the screen fades out.

We cut to a clip of Action Saxton pinning Rush at Kingdom Come V to retain the WZCW Tag Team Champions for him and his teammate, Saboteur.

Connor: A storybook ending for the dynamic duo! Saxton retires on top!

We cut to a clip later on where Saxton and Saboteur are surrounded by several people in the back as they celebrate his career.

---------------

Saxton: Thank you, sucka's. Thank you.

He then turns to Saboteur.

Saxton: And thank you most of all Saboteur... here...

He presents Saboteur with his tag team title belt.

Saxton: You deserve it.

---------------

We cut to a clip of Saboteur interrupting Steven Holmes on Ascension 67.

Holmes: You are not worthy of holding championship gold; let alone two. You shall pay for embarrassing me and disgracing this belt.

---------------

We cut to a clip of Saboteur and Holmes exchanging blows in the ring. We then see one instance of where Celeste helps her lover to beat down Saboteur.

Holmes: You dare mess with the most powerful couple in WZCW history? You are one pawn versus a king and queen!

-----------------

Saboteur: But ol’ Saboteur isn’t going to be all on his own much longer! You see, I got a phone call from a former WZCW wrestler that’s looking to get back in the ring. This retired superstar said that he wants to be my wingman. This former WZCW World Champion said he wants to have my back! This legendary wrestler said he wants to be my tag team partner!

Serra: Who’s it going to be?!

------------------

Holmes: You will be facing Celeste and I at Redemption in a match for the tag team titles, and unless this mystery partner of yours is Hercules himself, we will beat you for the tag team titles.

------------------

We switch to a clip of Saboteur and Celeste changing blows, then we switch to Holmes and Saboteur switching blows. Finally, we see a shot of Holmes and Celeste sharing a passionate kiss over the lifeless body of Saboteur in the ring.

The video cuts out.

Harrys: Ladies and gentlemen, the following match is scheduled for one fall, and it is for the WZCW Tag Team Championships!

The crowd pops at the hype announcement.

The crowd boos heavily as Steven Holmes and Celeste Crimson walk out, side-by-side, to the hate from the crowd. Holmes has a stern look upon his face as he scowls at the crowd. However, Celeste reaches up to grab his face and pulls him in for a slobbering kiss on the entrance ramp. The camera shows the crowd groaning in disgust. We even see one mother shielding her kid’s eyes.

Harry: Introducing first, the Elite “King” and “Queen” of WZCW, Steven Holmes and Celeste Crimson!

Copeland: Distasteful, diabolical, and downright evil. Those are just a few words to describe this fling that has been going on since Lethal Lottery between Holmes & Celeste. Now, these two have made it a point of theirs to beat down and degrade the fan-favorite, Saboteur. It is ignorant jealousy if you ask me.

Cohen: Jealousy or righteous anger? Why should Holmes and Celeste just sit around while Saboteur parades himself as the tag team champions. He is not only a mockery to our profession, but a liar to the very titles he holds. Did Mikey Stormrage get to hold the tag titles when James Howard took a leave of absence? No. Neither should Saboteur. In fact, as far as I am concerned, I don’t even consider Saboteur tag team champions right now. The way I see it, this match is for the vacant titles, and the only reason Saboteur is able to compete tonight is because he has a mystery partner!

Connor: Well, I don’t agree with you, but you do bring up one of the most interesting dynamics to this match tonight. And that is wondering whop Saboteur’s mystery partner will be. We know that he is a former WZCW World Heavyweight Champion, but who?

Copeland: I think I have an idea who it is, but we will just have to wait and see.

We see Holmes and Celeste on the ring apron as Holmes presses down on the ropes to let Celeste enter. He follows behind her as he sports a smug look that is directed towards the crowd. Holmes beckons for a microphone, which he gets from a ringside official. Their music begins to die down as he begins to speak.

Holmes: This charade is up.

The crowd boos.

Holmes: It was only one Pay-Per-View ago that I was main-eventing Kingdom Come V as the WZCW World Heavyweight Champion. There were no games in that match. It was a battle amongst high-caliber competitors. However, I have now found myself dealing with a child.

The crowd boos some more.

Holmes: Saboteur has made a mockery of the WZCW Tag Team Championships and the company itself. Tonight, I’ll will squeeze every inch of life out of the pathetic imbecile who parades himself as a champion. And my darling Celeste fill finally get a taste of the gold grandeur that she has been entitled to for sometime now.

The camera shows Celeste as she smiles evilly, but the crowd just boos.

Holmes: Saboteur, it’s time to stop playing games. Get out here with those belts and your mystery partner, and hand over what is rightfully ours!

The crowd comes unglued as Saboteur runs out onto the stage with a microphone in-hand and both of the Tag Team Titles on his shoulders. He quickly speaks over his music.

Saboteur: You rannnnnng?

The crowd laughs.

Saboteur: Check it, Holmes baby. I learned something over this past week. That is the fact that Whoopi Goldberg is innocent!

The crowd doesn’t know how to react, but they pop anyway.

Saboteur: How dare you use her as a cover for your dastardly deeds of evil!

Holmes: SILENCE! SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP!

The camera shows Holmes furious in the ring as the crowd heats him.

Holmes: I am sick and tired of your nonsense. Do you have a partner tonight, or not?

The camera shows Saboteur on the entrance ramp. He pauses for a moment, but then cracks a smile.

Saboteur: Oh, I have a partner tonight.

Saboteur drops to a kneeling position and begins a drum roll on the entrance stage. The crowd joins along with whatever they can, whether it be their knees or the back of a seat. Holmes begins snorting fumes as he becomes highly annoyed. Celeste councils him from behind. Finally, Saboteur stops and signals for the crowd to cease. Saboteur clears his throat and pulls the microphone up to his mouth. He begins speaking in a cheesy announcer’s voice.

Saboteur: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls of all ages, allow me to introduce to you tonight the defending WZCW Tag Team Champions! First, the current holder of the titles, Saboteur!!!

The crowd pops.

Saboteur: And his new tag-team partner, the man who will help kick Steven Holmes and Celeste Crimson’s ass all the way to a geographical location of your choosing…… the former WZCW World Heavyweight Champion…………………………………………….

The crowd goes nuts as all of them rise to their feet. Big Dave emerges out of the gorilla position in full ring gear. The camera shows a look of shock on Steven Holmes’ face. Dave smirks as he walks up to Saboteur. Saboteur removes one of the tag titles and hands it over to Dave. They share a high-five before making their way down the ramp! The crowd is still going wild.

Copeland: Steven Holmes looks as if he has seen a ghost as Saboteur reveals his new partner tonight. He is the acting General Manager for Meltdown, Big Dave!

Connor: I don’t believe it!

Cohen: This can’t be!

Just as Dave and Saboteur approach the ring-

Bateman quickly emerges out of the gorilla position with a microphone.

Bateman: Hold it! Stop!

The crowd responds in boos.

Bateman: Quite frankly I was afraid of something like this. Dave, you are an acting general manager. Not a wrestler. You gave that role up when you signed the dotted line.

The crowd boos. The camera shows Dave, who disagrees with Bateman’s stance.

Bateman: Besides, you cannot compete alongside Saboteur tonight.

The crowd boos heavily!

Connor: What? Why?!

Bateman: Since Saboteur won the tag-team titles with Action Saxton, he can only defend them with Action Saxton. So, unless Saxton is here tonight, Saboteur will be flying solo and this will be a handicap match for the WZCW Tag Team Titles.

The crowd jeers and Dave seems highly displeased as he rubs his chin violently.

Bateman: Trust me Dave. If you defy what I’ve just said, there will be much bigger consequences from powers beyond any of our control. I’m trying to save your job…

The crowd boos, but we finally see Dave remove the Tag Team Championship from his shoulder and hand it back to Saboteur at ringside. He says “sorry”, and then heads up the ramp. Saboteur just watches like an innocent child. The crowd continues to rain the situation with boos. The camera shows Holmes and Celeste smiling in the ring. Finally, we see Dave meet Bateman at the top of the ramp. Dave stares at him, but then exits to the back. Bateman follows behind him.

Saboteur pops his neck and then looks up into the ring. He fastens both belts on his shoulders and jumps onto the apron. He lunges into the ring and the crowd re-surges with cheers.

Cohen: Fair is fair!

Copeland: Oh stop it! Saboteur had hoped that he would be fighting alongside a partner in Big Dave, but Bateman forced Dave to proceed otherwise. I’m not sure how to comment on the situation, but I know despite all odds, that Saboteur is going to go into this match with his head held high and a determination to win.

Connor: You can trump his partner, but you cannot trump his spirit!

Saboteur is now in his corner, and Holmes is in his. Celeste has elected to allow her lover, Holmes, to begin the match as she stands on the outside apron. Meanwhile, we see that the official of the match has both of the tag titles. He stands in the middle of the ring as he hoists them into the air. The crowd pops for the hype.

Copeland: Saboteur vs. Steven Holmes & Celeste Crimson for the Tag Team Champions is about to get underway!

The referee looks at both corners and gets a nod. With that, he signals for the bell and the match begins!

Saboteur lunges out of his corner and runs at Holmes. Saboteur rolls for an instant spinning wheel kick, but Holmes ducks under it! Saboteur lands in a crouching position. Just as Holmes turns around to address his opponent, Saboteur plunges his foot into his midsection. Holmes lets out a gasp for air as he grabs his stomach, but Saboteur shows no mercy! He takes advantage of Holmes' semi-hunched position and sends a stiff uppercut into his neck! Holmes flails back and stumbles away, but Saboteur follows up once more with a running one-handed bulldog from behind! Saboteur lands on his butt from the maneuver, but he rolls back and then flips onto his feet to get the crowd going wild!

Copeland: The tag team champion is red hot early-on in this match!

Connor: Get’em!

Saboteur reaches down and picks up a handful of Holmes’ hair. He pulls him into a semi-dazed standing position and grabs his arm. He goes to whip him into the corner that Celeste is at, but stops. Saboteur smiles and Celeste is not amused. Saboteur proceeds to whip him into another corner, but his little joke on Celeste gave Holmes enough time to recover and reverse the Irish-whip. He sends Saboteur back-first into a nearby turnbuckle. Holmes rushes in for what looks like a high-knee but Saboteur pulls his legs up and sends a pair of boots into the chest of Holmes. Holmes grabs his chest and stumbles backwards, but Saboteur pops out of the corner and whips Holmes back into it like he originally intended!

Copeland: Saboteur isn’t giving Holmes an inch!

Saboteur steps up and begins sending a series of jabs into the chest of Holmes. Holmes tries to block, but Saboteur sends his blows north until sending a hard slap into the face of Holmes. The blow is hard enough that spit flies out of Holmes mouth.

Connor: He literally just knocked the taste out of his mouth!

Copeland: Whats this!?

Celeste enters the ring and charges towards Saboteur, who takes notice. The referee comes in-between the two and pushes back Celeste. Saboteur exchanges words with her as Celeste points violently. The crowd is buzzing. As the ref pushes Celeste back to her corner, Saboteur turns around to a rough-looking clothesline from the former world champion. Holmes drops to his knees after the blow and looks over at Saboteur lying next to him. Holmes wipes the sweat from under his nose and proceeds to pick Saboteur up by his head. Before Saboteur even knows what is going on, Holmes twist the head of Saboteur and drops him with a neckbreaker! Holmes sits for a moment after the maneuver to savor the damage he caused to Saboteur, but then proceeds to stand up. The crowd lets him know they are not happy with his actions.

Cohen: Just like that, the Elite superstar of this company is back in control. You two were actually beginning to think that Saboteur would take this in a steal, weren’t you?

Holmes reaches down and yanks Saboteur into a standing position. He forcefully shoves him all the way back to his own team’s corner. Holmes wails on Saboteur’s head with a few blows before tagging in Celeste. Holmes sprawls Saboteur out and allows Celeste to send a stiff kick into his midsection.

Copeland: Ooh! A stiff shot into the mid-section of Saboteur. Here is where Saboteur is at a disadvantage. All that time he spent working Holmes is now for naught as Celeste is tagged in fresh and Holmes will get time to recover.

Connor: For all of you folks at home who are just joining us; Saboteur did intend to debut Big Dave as his tag team partner, but Bateman halted the idea and forced Dave to reconsider.

Cohen: He did the right thing if you ask me.

Connor: Yeah, well no one asked you.

Celeste yanks Saboteur out of the corner and appears to be Irish-whipping him to the other side, but she grabs his arm just before he runs past her and then shuffles in for a sidekick to his jaw! Saboteur falls over and crashes to the ring mat. Celeste wastes no time as she targets the arm of Saboteur and drops down to lock on a gruesome Fujiwara Armbar! The crowd buzzes and boos as Saboteur groans in pain. Celeste screams for him to tap as she wrenches his arm.

Holmes cheers for her to break his arm as the referee checks on Saboteur.

Copeland: That deadly fujiwara armbar from Celeste is going to drain a lot of Saboteur even if he makes it out of it without tapping.

Connor: And with no partner to tag in, Saboteur is not looking good.

Cohen: Nope, not good at all. Heh.

Saboteur groans in pain as he spies his surroundings. He sees some ropes off to his left as Celeste continues to work his arm. Saboteur roars in adversity and pain as he uses his free arm to crawl towards the ropes. Celeste shakes her head "no" and yanks on his arm even more. Saboteur inches closer and closer, but Celeste refuses. Saboteur extends out his arm and….

Connor: Yes!

Saboteur grabs the bottom rope and the referee pries Celeste off of the arm. Celeste releases, but the damage is clearly done as Saboteur grabs his arm in pain. Celeste leaves him no time to rest as she begins to stomp on him. She then backs away from the tag team champion and makes her way over to her lover. She tags in a refreshed Holmes. The crowd boos.

Copeland: The numbers game against two high-caliber opponents seems to be just too much for Saboteur.

Holmes immediately walks over to Saboteur and drops a stiff knee on the shoulder of his hurt arm. Saboteur cringes and rolls away in pain, but Holmes follows behind and drops another knee. Saboteur cringes again, but Holmes pulls him up into a dazed standing position. Holmes pulls him in and lifts him up for a Northern Lights Suplex! He bridges it for the first pin attempt of the match,

KICK OUT!

The crowd breathes a sigh of relief as Saboteur defies all odds. Holmes shakes his head in disagreement with the count. However, he wastes no time and reaches down for his dazed nemesis. He pulls Saboteur up and backs him up into a vacant turnbuckle. He slams Saboteur back-first before hoisting him up into a sitting position on the top rung. All the while, Saboteur appears to be in a complete daze.

Copeland: No… it can’t be.

Holmes ascends the turnbuckle with Saboteur and pulls him into a hunched standing position. He tucks Saboteur’s head and wraps his arm around his own head.

Copeland: Despicable. Holmes is setting up for the Superplex! A move that he adopted to his moveset after he defeated Big Dave in their blood feud. It’s a mockery, and it is Holmes rubbing it in the face of Dave.

Cohen: I love it!

The crowd is nervous as they buzz with boos. Holmes grabs the waist of Saboteur and prepares to go for the huge maneuver. The crowd shows Celeste smiling from ear to ear in her corner. Holmes proceeds to lift Saboteur up, but things don’t go exactly as planned. Saboteur twist out of the maneuver and lands on his feet on the ring mat and the other side of Holmes! Holmes begins flailing as he tries to keep himself from falling off the turnbuckle, but Saboteur is quick to act, and positions his head in-between the former world champion’s legs for a makeshift powerbomb off the top rope! He bridges the maneuver! The referee slides in for the count,

Copeland: Holmes is down!

Cohen: No!

BREAK UP!

Celeste jumps on the pin and knocks Saboteur off of Holmes.

Cohen: Yes!

Saboteur recovers to his feet as Celeste pulls Holmes up to his. As soon as Celeste pulls Holmes up, she charges at Saboteur, but Saboteur ducks an apparent clothesline. Celeste runs into some ropes off the missed attempt, but as she turns back around, she eats a roundhouse kick from Saboteur that sends her over the ropes and crashing to the outside mat. The crowd pops! Saboteur stumbles over towards a dazed Holmes, but Holmes springs to life out of nowhere to sock Saboteur right in the jaw. The blow sends Saboteur spinning, but he spins right into a pele kick out of nowhere to the side of Holmes face! Holmes tries to buffer some of the damage with his own hand in a blocking attempt, but he eats the kick nonetheless.

Connor: GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL!

Holmes drops to one knee in a complete daze as he sees stars. Saboteur slowly recovers and shakes the cobwebs out. He quickly approaches Holmes and goes for a Death Blow, but Holmes drops onto the ground and rolls under Saboteur as he leaps into the air. The crowd is stunned as Saboteur catches himself and turns around, but Holmes is already lunging into a charging position. He reaches up and grabs the head of Saboteur as she shoves his knee into his gut. The menacing blow causes spit to fly out of Saboteur’s mouth. Holmes then pulls Saboteur’s head in-between his legs. He quickly lifts him into an inverted position. The crowd has to watch helplessly as Holmes roars and drops Saboteur’s head down with the Imperial Impaler! The crowd is stunned as Holmes rolls over onto Saboteur,

Copeland: No, not like this!

The bell rings and Holmes’ music picks up. The crowd quickly share their displeasure.

Harrys: Ladies and gentlemen, here are your winners, and new WZCW Tag Team Champions, Steven Holmes & Celeste Crimson!

The camera shows Celeste slowly rising with help from the outside apron. She peers into the ring and sees her lover, Holmes, standing with an arm raised. The WZCW Tag Team Championships are being handed to him as he looks out and sees his love. Celeste crawls into the ring and runs into his arms. They share an embrace and passionate kiss near the lifeless body of Saboteur.

Connor: I’ll say it right now. Saboteur was screwed by Vance Bateman here tonight.

Cohen: Just look CC. All is right with the world. For the first time in her career, Celeste Crimson has won WZCW gold!

Holmes steps back from Celeste and then holds out one of the tag team titles. Celeste marvels over it before reaching out and taking it. She hugs it to her chest and closes her eyes in pure ecstasy. The crowd continues to boo, but nothing will ruin the King and Queen’s moment.

Copeland: Saboteur had a plan, but it was halted by Ascension’s General Manager, Vance Bateman. The numbers were too much for Saboteur and now Steven Holmes and Celeste Crimson are our new WZCW Tag Team Champions. Damn it all!

The camera watches as Holmes and Celeste continue to celebrate. The screen fades outs.

We cut backstage to see Sandy Deserts in a cut off referee's shirt standing alone in front of a mirror. She seems enamored with her reflection as she studies herself. The crowd gives her a mixed reaction as she appears on camera.

Copeland: Sandy Deserts, the referee for tonight's match between Steven Kurtesy and Dr. Zeus, no doubt trying to handle her emotions and strong feelings toward both men. I can't imagine how she'll find a way to remain impartial in tonight's contest.

Sandy keeps studying her reflection as the camera fades out once more.

Harrys: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is a submissions count anywhere match! The match will be no disqualifications and will continue until one man verbally or physically submits!

Harrys: Introducing first, from Sydney Australia, weighing 226 pounds, "The Professor" Steven Kurtesy!

Kurtesy walks out onto the stage with a smile on his face as he looks out to the crowd with his arms open as if to embrace the crowd. He heads down the ramp, nodding his acknowledgement to some of the fans at ringside. He rolls into the ring and heads to the nearest turnbuckle, where he climbs to the middle rope and bows to further acknowledge the fans showing their support.

Copeland: Steven Kurtesy, making his long awaited pay per view return tonight, the fans showing their overwhelming support to the former World Champ.

Cohen: I'm not going to condone the actions of Dr. Zeus over the past few weeks, but Kurtesy is a broken man. The fans can support him all they want but I doubt it makes much of a difference.

Connor: When pushed to the limit we have seen men do extraordinary things Jack, and I think Zeus will pay dearly for forcing the professor out of retirement.

Harrys: And his opponent, from Portland, Oregon, weighing 265 pounds, The Good Doctor Zeus!

The music begins to play as the arena grows dark. On the Tron is a video of a young women playing with a music box. As she begins to sing, Zeus emerges on stage, pushing a doctor's bed down the ramp. He climbs into the ring and takes a spot in the corner across from Kurtesy.

Cohen: Like I said before, I'm not going to condone the actions of Zeus, but the mind games worked. He brought a broken and beaten Kurtesy out of retirement. He is in his opponent's head, and tonight we will see Kurtesy tap out.

Copeland: It isn't my job to pick winners, but Kurtesy will be rusty. He will need to shake it off fast to stand a chance against the calculating and cerebral Zeus.

Connor: Let us not forget the wild card tonight. Kurtesy's friend Sandy Deserts. As the special referee she could very well play a part in deciding the winner.

And making her way to the ring, she is the special referee, Sandy Deserts!

Connor: I think in the end Sandy will call the action down the middle tonight.

Cohen: Going to disagree with you Cat. Sandy is just as broken as Kurtesy, and I think in the end she aids her new doctor and helps Zeus to victory.

Copeland: It is an interesting dynamic to say the least. This one won't be for the faint of heart, that's for sure.

Both Zeus and Kurtesy take their attention off each other as Sandy calls for the bell. Each man takes a few hesitant steps toward her as she switches her attention back and forth quickly between each man. Finally Zeus turns his attention to Kurtesy and jumps his foe, unleashing a series of blows to the head, backing Kurtesy into the ropes. He headbutts the professor, softening him up for an Irish whip across the ring. A hard lariat across the upper body puts Kurtesy on the mat. Before Zeus is able to capitalize however, Kurtesy rolls away under the bottom rope. Zeus cocks a sly smile at his opponent as he beckons him to return to the ring. Kurtesy is initially hesitant, but climbs back into the ring. Zeus waits for him, once Kurtesy is ready for action he begins to close the gap. The two tie up, but it is Kurtesy with the upper hand this time, securing a side headlock. He wrenches on the hold before using the headlock to take Zeus down. He keeps the headlock locked in as the two hit the mat. Sandy slides into position, making sure Zeus isn't ready to call it quits. Zeus is able to break the hold with a rather athletic kick to the head of Kurtesy, surprising most of the audience along with Kurtesy himself. The two both scramble to their feet and begin a slow circle around the ring.

Copeland: Both men having their moments early, but neither are able to really pull ahead.

Kurtesy fires off a handful of rights, softening up Zeus. As he tries to grab hold of the good doctor, Zeus fires off a vicious throat thrust. The crowd gasps as Kurtesy falls to the ground, holding his surgically repaired throat. Zeus looks happy to have caused such pain and kneels next to his opponent. He grasps Kurtesy around the throat and begins to choke the life out of him. Sandy gets into position, slowly. She appears to have a look of concern as her former mentor tries to fight off Zeus. As Kurtesy slowly loses his fight, his arms begin to go limp. Just as Zeus begins to tighten his grip, Sandy shoves Zeus away, breaking the hold.

Connor: Sandy had seen enough, and she thankfully broke the hold.

Cohen: Not exactly the most partial of decisions. This one was about to head to an early finish.

Copeland: My thoughts exactly Jack. If not for Sandy breaking that up, this one would be over.

Zeus stands slowly and advances on Sandy. She backs away as far as she can, before she hits the ropes. Just before Zeus is on top of her, Kurtesy takes both men over the top rope with a clothesline to the back of the head of Zeus, Sandy ducking just in time to avoid tumbling out with them. Both men hit the outside hard, leaving them both down for a few seconds. Both begin to slowly crawl, Kurtesy using the barricade to aid himself to his feet. Zeus, the fresher of the two, is on his feet first and charges at Kurtesy. Kurtesy has the awareness to step aside however and throw Zeus shoulder first into the barricade. As Zeus stumbles backwards Kurtesy takes him down to the floor with a sit out rear mat slam, Zeus' head slapping hard off the mat. Kurtesy takes a few moments to get his wits back before he applies Hypnotherapy, his version of a sleeper hold. Zeus reaches back, looking for a stray limb, hair, anything he can find, but comes up empty and begins to fade. Just as the former World Champ appears to be in control, Sandy rolls under the bottom rope and gets in position. She asks Zeus if he wants to continue, but gets no response. She grabs the arm of Zeus and lifts it, letting it fall limply to the ground.

1!
.
.
She grabs his arm a second time, again it falls limply to the ground.
.
2!
.
.
Sandy grabs the arm of Zeus a third time. As she holds his arm she look directly into the eyes of Kurtesy. He nods aggressively for her to lift the arm. She raises her arm, but instead of lifting Zeus' arm with it, she slaps Kurtesy across the face!

Connor: What the hell?!

Copeland: What is going on with Sandy Deserts?

Cohen: I think our referee has some deep seeded issues that neither of these "doctors" can take care of.

Kurtesy releases the hold, looking at Sandy shocked. He holds his hands out, as Sandy simply stares back at him. Unbeknownst to Kurtesy, Zeus has began to stir behind him. As Steven and Sandy continue their game, Zeus rummages under the ring for something. He emerges with a strand of electrical cable. He sneaks up behind Kurtesy and wraps it around his neck. He pulls tightly on the cable, dragging Kurtesy along. He uses the cable to aid him in planting Kurtesy with a reverse DDT. With Kurtesy down, Zeus walks to the opposite side of the ring. He retrieves his doctor's bed and wheels it over to the fallen Kurtesy. He hoists the fallen professor onto the bed and straps him down. He wheels the bed into position and sets it up vertically against the ring post. He goes back under the ring and fetches a kendo stick. He makes his way to Kurtesy, who struggles to free himself to no avail. He places a hand on the cheek of Kurtesy and gently whispers to him.

As I strap you to my bed
Worry not your pretty head
For soon the doctor will end the pain
That dwells deep inside your brain

Zeus places his forehead against the forehead of Kurtesy momentarily before he takes a step back. He takes a mighty swing and cracks the kendo stick across the chest of Kurtesy. The crowd oohs and aahs at the sound, though the reaction hides their true horror. Zeus steps back and again swings for the fences, the blood curdling sound of bamboo on skin echoes throughout AT&T arena.

Copeland: Zeus, with a Ruthian swing, just laying into Kurtesy.

Cohen: Each shot more sickening than the last, and it is all legal.

Blood begins to seep through the wounds on Kurtesy's chest as Zeus continues his onslaught. Finally the stick breaks, shattering into small pieces of wooden shrapnel. Zeus pushes the bed to the ground just as Sandy has seen enough. She rushes to Zeus and jumps on his back, screaming.

You aren't a doctor, you are a mad man!

Yes, yes I am. I am a doctor.

Zeus is easily able to throw Sandy from his back, her head slamming into the ring post viciously. He turns his attention back to Kurtesy, who has managed to crawl from under the bed. Zeus grabs a piece of the splintered kendo stick and slowly lifts it in front of his face.

Now to finish the job I started
The one that left me broken hearted

Zeus kneels over Kurtesy and tries to stab him with the wooden shard. The shard is inches from Kurtey's throat, who does his best to fight it off. Slowly but surely the sharp point inches closer and closer. A headbutt from Zeus causes Kurtesy to lose his grip. Zeus lifts the stick above his head, just as Sandy Deserts wraps a camera cable around the neck of Zeus, pulling him away. With his arms trapped above his head as Sandy pulls tighter, Kurtesy crawls to his feet and is able to secure Solitary Confinement. He brings Zeus to the ground, wrapping his legs around. Sandy still has the cable wrapped tightly around the neck as the straight jacked sleeper is locked in. It isn't long before Zeus goes limp. Sandy releases the cable and calls for the bell.

Harrys: Here is your winner, "The Professor" Steven Kurtesy!

Kurtesy releases the hold and crawls from under Zeus. Sandy helps her mentor and friend to his feet and the two embrace. Sandy helps the bloodied Kurtesy walk to the back as medical personal come rushing from the back to check on both men.

Copeland: Steven Kurtesy the winner tonight, but at what cost?

Cohen: My prediction was wrong, but this was certainly a battle that saw both men pushed to the limit. I have a feeling neither man will be the same after this.

Connor: In the end Sandy came around and did the right thing. Zeus was out of control and needed to be stopped, though I have a feeling this isn't the last time these two will cross paths.

Copeland: Ladies and gentlemen, just one week ago, Vance Bateman made an announcement on Ascension that a change was being made to the Elite X Title; a change so large, it will change WZCW as we know it. The Elite X Title Revamp as some are calling it has effectively streamlined the process of getting world title shots to worthy contenders. Starting tonight, the Elite X Title will be defended every time the holder appears in one on one competition. If the champion is able to successfully defend the title 7 times, then they are guaranteed a shot at the world title. That means that tonight, if S.H.I.T. can defeat Matt Tastic, then it will be 6 matches away from a shot at the World Heavyweight title.

Cohen: Or, in the more likely event of Tastic winning, then he begins his quest for 7 straight victories!

Harrys: The following contest is scheduled for one fall, and it is for the Elite X Championship!

Harrys: Introducing first, the challenger! From Orange County California, weighing 238 pounds, "The Killjoy," Matt Tastic!

Tastic walks out to an angry audience, and he doesn’t seem to care for them much either. He walks down to the ring shooting angry glares and spouting snarky comebacks at his detractors.

Copeland: After winning the coveted Mayhem Scepter at WrestleZone Weekend, things seemed so promising for Matt Tastic. But then, after an early exit from the Gold Rush Tournament, he turned his back on the WZCW fans by delivering the now infamous, obscenity-filled rant where he decided to wage war on some of WZCW’s more successful… well, let’s just say oddballs.

Cohen: Hey, it might not be popular, but I’m glad someone had the guts to say it! I wish Matt Tastic the best of luck when it comes to cleansing ourselves of these oddballs.

Connor: Well he’s facing one of the biggest “oddballs” we have tonight, but S.H.I.T. is no joke. S.H.I.T. has been on a roll ever since Lethal Lottery, and I don’t see it dropping the Elite X Title so soon after winning it in spectacular fashion at Kingdom Come.

Cohen: You’re wrong Cat. Matt Tastic is running on pure hatred these days, and when he see’s S.H.I.T., Tastic sees red. Look for Tastic to let out all his pent up aggrevation on S.H.I.T. and leave that cuckoo bird in disrepair.

Tastic slides into the ring and heads to the far ring ropes. Tastic leans on them and shouts something at the fans before giving the “up your’s gesture” to a young boy in the front row.

Connor: Oh well that’s just lovely.

Harrys: And introducing the champion. From Mechanical Mecca, weighing 230 pounds, he is your Elite X Champion… S.H.I.T.!

S.H.I.T. returns from backstage to the adoration of nearly every fan in the stadium.

“WE WANT S.H.I.T.! WE WANT S.H.I.T.! WE WANT S.H.I.T.! WE WANT S.H.I.T.!”

S.H.I.T. looks to the fans before executing a traditional belt pose, holding the title above its head for a 33% increase in cheer volume from the fans. Satisfied with the results, S.H.I.T. makes its way down to the ring.

Copeland: Since joining WZCW, S.H.I.T. has captivated our fans’ imaginations for better and for worse, but lately it’s learned to not just captivate their minds, but their hearts as well.

Connor: From my estimation, S.H.I.T. has the chance to be one of the greatest Elite X Champions of all time, especially if it’s able to complete the Elite X Challenge.

Cohen: I already told you, he will not. He’s a lunatic in a box, and this is the type of trash Tastic has vowed to take out.

S.H.I.T. gets to the ring and climbs to the apron, entering the ring and posing with its Elite X Belt one last time, this time increasing volume a mere 21%. It hands the belt to the referee. The referee calls the men to the middle of the ring and shows them both the belt.

Copeland: This will be one of the most historic matches in the history of the Elite X Title. Tonight, here in San Antonio, Texas, we will witness the very first Elite X Challenge match. Will S.H.I.T. be one step closer to World Title glory, or will Matt Tastic over throw the mechanical man before it even gets out of the gate? We’ll find out soon…

The ref calls for the bell, and the match is under way.

S.H.I.T. and Matt Tastic meet in the middle of the ring in a collar and elbow tie-up, but it is the robot that gains the quick advantage, locking Tastic into a side headlock. Tastic struggles for a few moments but is quickly able to shove S.H.I.T. off of the headlock, and he attempts to lock in a side headlock of his own. S.H.I.T. is having none of this, and lifts Tastic into a side suplex. S.H.I.T. holds onto the suplex and attempts to pin Tastic, but Tastic is able to keep a shoulder up. S.H.I.T. releases Tastic, and both competitors get to their feet quickly. Tastic is the first to make a move, charging at S.H.I.T., but the robosapien knocks Tastic down with a clothesline. Tastic gets to his feet quickly and charges at S.H.I.T. again, but again is taken down by a clothesline. Tastic, not one to give up, charges at S.H.I.T. one more time, this time ducking the clothesline and rebounding off the far ropes. Speeding back towards S.H.I.T., Tastic swings his arm out looking to his a lariat neckbreaker. He collides with S.H.I.T. and the two spin around, but S.H.I.T. shrugs off the attack and drops Tastic with a body slam! S.H.I.T. falls to the cover.

ONE!

KICKOUT!

Tastic is up quickly and attempts to crawl away, but S.H.I.T. quickly goes after its opponent and grabs Tastic by the legs and setting him up for some sort of insane submission hold. Tastic tries to flail his limbs to escape, but he is helpless to resist S.H.I.T.’s surfboard submission hold!

Copeland: Early on and S.H.I.T. is just dominating Tastic!

Cohen: Wait for it…

Tastic responds to the ref’s pestering with an emphatic no, refusing to quit the match. S.H.I.T. seems to be losing control of the tricky hold, and Tastic’s patience pays off as S.H.I.T. is forced to break the submission before losing further control. Tastic rolls out of the ring in an attempt to escape, and a worn down S.H.I.T. gets to its knees slowly. S.H.I.T. follows Tastic to the edge of the ring and sees Tastic slowly climbing to the apron. S.H.I.T. grabs a hold of Tastic’s head and forcefully pulls his human opponent up to the apron, but Tastic delivers a hard slap to the face of S.H.I.T. that causes the Elite X Champion to let go and protect its head. Tastic uses this distraction to pull back on the middle rope before letting it go, and the thick cable rebounds to strike S.H.I.T. in the stomach, seemingly interfering with the machine’s intricate electronics as S.H.I.T. clutches its abdomen area.

Cohen: And there it is! Tastic’s window of opportunity!

Copeland: Tastic really used the ring to his advantage to stop S.H.I.T.’s momentum.

Connor: A veteran move, but not exactly the most honest one.

Tastic hops over the ring ropes and grabs S.H.I.T., taking him down with a choking Russian legsweep. S.H.I.T. his down, but Tastic isn’t finished, transitioning from the legsweep into a knee drop right into S.H.I.T.’s alleged gut. Tastic decides to follow this attack up with a high-risk move. Tastic jumps to the top turnbuckle and takes little time setting up before leaping off the rope, connecting with a diving elbow onto S.H.I.T. Tastic makes the cover on S.H.I.T.

ONE!

TWO!

KICKOUT!

S.H.I.T. kicks out with power, nearly sending Tastic out of the ring. S.H.I.T. gets up before Tastic can ground him again, trying to take control of the match again. S.H.I.T. attempts to grab Tastic, but The Killjoy ducks S.H.I.T.’s grap and hits a swinging reverse DDT on S.H.I.T.! He rolls over for the pin.

ONE!

TWO!

KICKOUT!

Another strong kickout from S.H.I.T., but this time Tastic is able to get up to his feet on his own accord. S.H.I.T. gets to his feet but is quickly dominated by Tastic with overhand chops and powerful elbows. S.H.I.T. drops to a knee. Tastic capitalizes on his advantageous position by sending kicks into S.H.I.T.’s face. One kick. Two kicks. Three kicks. Four kicks. Five kicks. Tastic fires kick after kick, ad with each kick S.H.I.T. seems to fade more and more. Finally, Tastic runs back and fires off one last kick… but S.H.I.T. ducks it and springs to its feet! S.H.I.T. charges Tastic backwards into a corner and starts delivering shoulder thrusts into Tastic’s midsection, causing his back to bang violently against the turnbuckle. S.H.I.T. backs up, only to whip Tastic into the opposite corner. Tastic goes back first into the corner just moments before S.H.I.T. charges at him. With a boot outstretched, S.H.I.T. looks to plant his footcup in Tastic’s face… but Tastic ducks the attack and S.H.I.T.’s leg bangs painfully into the top rope. S.H.I.T. turns around grabbing its leg, but Tastic is right there to take advantage of his opponent, hitting a spinning backfist that drops S.H.I.T. to the ground. He makes the cover.

ONE!

KICKOUT!

S.H.I.T. rolls his shoulder up and rises to his feet, but Tastic is still on top of his opponent. Tastic grabs S.H.I.T. by the arm and whips him off the ropes. Tastic is prepared for the rebound and picks S.H.I.T. up for a Samoan Drop… but the weight and momentum appears to be more than he can handle. Tastic waivers for a second before falling face first to the match with S.H.I.T. falling on top of him.

Connor: After targeting Tastic’s back all match, S.H.I.T. seems to have worn Tastic down too much to hit his finisher!

Cohen: He’ll come back. He has to come back!

S.H.I.T. and Tastic are both on the ground, but S.H.I.T. rolls over and starts fussing with Tastic’s arm. Tastic tries to resist, but he’s unable to escape before getting locked into the Industrial Strength Vice! Tastic reaches out for the nearby rope, but it’s a good two feet away, and he has little success clawing his way over there. S.H.I.T. wrenches the submission and Tastic howls out in pain. There is no sign of escape for Tastic and he is fading fast, but he refuses to quit!

Copeland: What is keeping Tastic from tapping out? If he holds out any longer he’ll snap in half!

Cohen: He refuses to quit on his quest to defeat the freaks and geeks from WZCW! He’s too strong to give up!

With the last of his energy, Tastic manages to pry S.H.I.T.’s arms from off his face. He quickly uses his arms to pull himself away from S.H.I.T., but the robot grabs Tastic from behind and pulls him to his feet. S.H.I.T. hooks Tastic’s arm over its shoulder and hoists the Killjoy up for a suplex, but Tasitc swings his knee down and hits S.H.I.T. in the mainframe, forcing the robot to drop his opponent back to the starting position, but this time Tastic looks to hit a move on S.H.I.T.. He digs his shoulder into S.H.I.T.’s midsection and spins him around so that they’re facing belly to belly.

Cohen: It’s almost over! Tastic’s about to hit the Headache Driver!

But Tastic is wavering, and soon he loses balance and drops S.H.I.T.. Tastic grabs his back in pain, but S.H.I.T. is right back to its feet, and it wants to end it. It swings its arm above his head, and a kneeling Tastic is knocked to his back with a Piston Chop. S.H.I.T. falls to the cover.

ONE!

TWO!

THREE!

S.H.I.T. rises to its feet with its arms in the air. It is eager for the Elite X title to be returned to its arms, and it begins jumping up and down around the ring upon receiving the belt.

Cohen: Dammit! What kind of farce is this? Dammit!

Connor: It’s a celebration, Jack! And why shouldn’t S.H.I.T. be happy? This is a historic win in the history of the Elite X Championship.

Copeland: Not to mention maybe he shut Matt Tastic up.

Matt Tastic doesn’t seem to be in the mood for talking as he slowly walks up the ramp. The crowd jeering at him, Tastic simply shoots dubious glares back at them. Back in the center of the arena, S.H.I.T. makes his way around the ring, taking photos with his adoring fans.

Cohen: Oh no he won’t. He’ll keep fighting for the future of this company.

Connor: I’m sure he will, but at least we’ll have the comfort of knowing that S.H.I.T. has moved on to bigger and better things. It is now 6 title defenses away from a World Title defense, and if this match has shown us anything, it’s that S.H.I.T. won’t go down easily.

Harrys: The following contest is a triple threat match scheduled for one fall and it is for the EurAsian championship!

The crowd pops as James Howard walks out, he’s got a slight grin on his face from the crowd’s reaction, but his mind is clearly on more pressing issues.

Harrys: Introducing first, from Leeds, England, weighing 223 pounds, James Howard!

Howard climbs the stairs and hops up onto the turnbuckle and looks out into the cheering crowd for a moment before jumping down into the ring and turning his attention back towards the stage.

The cheers continued but they feel more subdued now as Mikey Stormrage emerges, his eyes on the ring and his (former?) friend.

Harrys: And his opponents, first from Indianapolis, Indiana, weighing 315 pounds, Mikey Stormrage!

Copeland: The relationship between Strikeforce has become strained recently due to Mikey’s strange behaviour.

Cohen: Good, we’ve all been waiting months for them to beat the hell out of each other!

Stormrage gets into the ring, and there’s a tense staredown between him and Howard. Howard tries to talk to Mikey, but Mikey just stares right at him. The tension is broken by:

Chris K.O. struts onto the ramp, title over his shoulder, to hatred from the crowd. He gives the crowd a look of indignation before he heads towards the squared circle.

Harrys: And their opponents, from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, weighing 232 pounds, the EurAsian Champion, Chris K.O.!

Connor: You have to believe that the champion is the underdog here tonight.

Copeland: Right. Even though there’s tension between Howard and Mikey, neither of them want Chris K.O. to walk out of here with the title.

Chris K.O. looks at his opponents in the ring, both of whom have turned their attention towards the champion. Referee Keith Morse tells K.O. to come into the ring, which he does, albeit slowly. K.O. kisses his title before handing it over and Morse raises it in the air and hands it to the time keeper before calling for the bell, and the match is underway.

The three men look at one another, all waiting for someone to make the first move. Stormrage decides to make it, rushing at K.O. and hitting a big clothesline, catching the champion off guard. Mikey picks K.O. back up and motions for Howard to help him out. Howard hesitates but finally grabs K.O. and Irish Whips him across the ring. As K.O. returns, Howard hits a leg sweep while Mikey hits a Crane Kick to a huge cheer from the audience.

Connor: Looks like they dug something up from the old Strikeforce playbook!

Copeland: Even when you’re not a team anymore, you just can’t get rid of that natural chemistry!

Cohen: And it means now it’s just the two of them. Let the hell beating begin!

Mikey kicks K.O. out of the ring and turns towards his former tag team partner. Howard looks conflicted as Mikey gestures for him to make a move. The crowd is chanting in anticipation of this clash: “Let’s Go Howard!” chants countered with “Let’s go Mikey!” Howard finally rushes Stormrage, ducking under his attempted right hand, and unleashes of hard shots to Mikey’s head. With Stormrage stunned, Howard tries to Irish Whip him, but Mikey reverses, sending Howard into the ropes. As Howard comes back, he delivers a low dropkick, sending the big man down to the mat. As Mikey gets up to his knees, Howard hits a series of kicks to Mikey’s chest. He goes for the final shot to the head, but Mikey catches the leg and gets to his feet. Stormrage simply shakes his head before grabbing Howard by the throat, lifting him up and slamming him down hard. Mikey goes for the first pin of the match,

1….

2….

Kick out! Mikey doesn’t let up, quickly hitting a seated Senton on his friend and hooking the leg,

1….

2…..

Kick out! Stormrage gets up and begins to stalk Howard, who grabs the second rope and tries to pull himself up. But from out of nowhere, Chris K.O. comes in with a big Spinning Wheel kick that takes Mikey down. K.O. turns attention to the hurt Howard, who has just gotten up to his feet using the ropes. K.O. grabs Howard in a waistlock, attempting a German Suplex. Howard manages to block it, but K.O. doesn’t let go of the Waistlock. Suddenly, Mikey runs off the ropes and hits a running Crossbody, taking the other two men out! Mikey goes for the pin on K.O.

1….

2…..

Kick out! Mikey then tries to pin Howard,

1…..

2…..

Kick out! Mikey decides to turn his attention back to Howard. He picks up Howard and grabs him for a Belly to Belly, but Howard hits Mikey with a headbutt, freeing himself from the clutches. With Mikey stunned, Howard runs off the ropes at Mikey, but Mikey counters, catching his Strikeforce partner in an Abdominal Stretch! Howard has nowhere to go as Mikey really cinches it in deep, and with his free arm, hits elbows to Howard’s midsection. As Mikey raises his arm for one more elbow, K.O. comes from behind and grabs the arm, and locks in a standing Armbar on Mikey! K.O. wrenches Mikey’s arm back, causing Mikey to pull and put more pressure on Howard’s body, as the two men scream out in pain!

Cohen: Wait, if Mikey gives up here, K.O. will retain!

Copeland: And if Howard gives up, Stormrage is the new champion!

After several moments of struggling, Howard manages to untangle himself from the Abdominal Stretch. With Mikey still in the Armbar, Howard runs off the ropes and hits a running Neckbreaker on K.O! All three men are down on the mat, sore from the punishment they’re dishing out on each other. But Howard is the first to get up, soon followed by K.O. The champion gets the first shot in, with a punch to Howard, which is instantly returned. They begin to exchange shots, Howard hits a punch to a “YES!” from the crowd, then K.O. hits one back to a “BOO!” Finally, K.O. goes for the Haymaker, a European Uppercut, but Howard catches it and hooks K.O’s other arm, pinning him with a Backslide,

1….

2…..

Kick out! Both men get up quickly, but Howard is first to react, sending K.O. to the mat with a Snapmare and following up with a devastating kick to the head! Howard goes for another pin,

1….

2…..

Kick out! Howard double checks with the referee that it was only two, frustrated that he can’t put the champion away. Howard picks up K.O. and attempts to Irish Whip him, but K.O. reverses, sending Howard into the ropes. As Howard runs forward, he jumps to the second rope, and Springboard Moonsaults off! K.O. manages to move back to avoid it but Howard lands on his feet. Despite his balance, K.O. still takes advantage, hitting a German Suplex with a bridge!

1…

2…..

Mikey hits the Stormrage Splash on K.O. to break up the pin!!

Copeland: The Stormrage Splash from nowhere! Mikey used his finisher to break up the pin!

Cohen: Talk about overkill!

Stormrage covers K.O.

1….

2…..

Howard breaks it up this time! Mikey gets up, but Howard is already on the attack with punches and kicks, causing Mikey to back up. Howard essentially kicks Mikey into the corner, before backing up and going for the Shining Wizard. But Mikey catches him around the waist, turns and hits a Belly to Belly! Mikey lands on Howards, pinning him,

1….

2…..

Howard gets a shoulder up! Mikey gets up and wants to finish it off, pulling Howard up by his hair and lifting him for Game Over, but Howard counters with a roll up!

1…

2….

Kick out! Mikey is stunned by being caught off guard, and as both men get up, Howard hits a Dropkick, sending Mikey into the corner. Howard runs forward, and this time hits the Running Knee right on Mikey’s chin! Howard tries to follow up with the Bulldog, but Mikey blocks and holds Howard in a Powerbomb position. Meanwhile, K.O. has pulled himself up on the apron. As Mikey walks out of the corner with Howard on his shoulders, K.O. climbs onto the top rope and jumps off, hitting the Chaos Theory on Howard as Mikey slams him down!

Connor: Unbelievable! K.O. and Mikey hit the Headshot on Howard, Strikeforce’s finishing move as a team!

Cohen: That’s got to hurt Howard. I mean, apart from the physical hurt…

Mikey covers Howard,

1….

2…….

K.O. breaks it up to save his title! Mikey is angry as he turns towards K.O, grabbing him by the neck and throwing him into the corner. Stormrage hits a series of shoulder thrusts to the gut of K.O. Mikey backs up and launches himself at the champion, going for an Avalanche splash, but K.O. gets out of the way at the last second. Mikey hits the turnbuckles and gets the wind knocked out of him. With Mikey slumped in the corner, K.O. climbs to the second rope, grabs Mikey’s head in a Front Facelock and hits a Tornado DDT! The ring shakes from the impact and nearly as soon as they hit, K.O. locks in the Burning Crusade! Mikey screams in pain as, even through the mask, the pain is excruciating. The crowd are cheering as loud as they can, trying to will Mikey into not giving up. Stormrage can’t take any more, raising his hand to tap out. But before his hand can hit the mat, Howard comes in with a dropkick to K.O’s face! The hold is broken, and Howard quickly ties up the champion in the Tenzan Choke!

The crowds cheers have turned from encouragement to sheer joy at seeing K.O. in pain from the devastating submission! The veins in K.O’s neck are popping out as he tries to get free. He begins to inch his way towards the bottom rope and, finally, stretches out his leg and touches the rope. The referee counts to five and Howard takes full advantage of it, using those precious seconds to cause the champ as much damage as possible. But he’s forced to break the hold as the referee reaches four.

Connor: For the first time in the match, Howard seems to be in control.

Copeland: Stormrage is still hurting from the Burning Crusade, and now K.O. is hurting from the Tenzan Choke.

Cohen: But is Howard good enough to take advantage?

Howard picks up a groggy K.O. and Irish Whips him into the corner. He follows up with a Shining Wizard, then followed by the Bulldog! Howard goes for the pin,

1….

2…..

No! K.O. just gets his shoulder up. Howard shows some signs of frustration, but keeps his cool and calls for the end to raucous cheers from the crowd. He goes to the corner and climbs up onto the top rope and waits for the champion to get up. K.O. is off balance, but does manage to get up, and Howard leaps off the top rope. K.O, acting on instinct alone, moves out of the way and Howard flies right into a European Uppercut from Mikey, who came from nowhere! The crowd groan in sympathy as Howard rolls around clutching his throat and jaw.

K.O. and Mikey are both holding themselves up using the ropes. Mikey makes the first move, with a right hand to the face, which K.O. quickly returns. They exchange punches until K.O. gets the advantage by doubling Mikey over with a kick to the gut. K.O. runs off the ropes and goes for a Spinning Wheel kick, but Mikey catches his legs before Slingshotting him into the corner. As K.O. bounce off the turnbuckles and staggers back out, Mikey turns him around and picks him for a Gordbuster. K.O. is in the air, but he manages to knee Mikey in the head. Stormrage stumbles forward and K.O. manages to land on his feet on the apron. Mikey goes for K.O, but he’s dropkicked from behind by Howard. K.O. pulls down the top rope, and Mikey goes over it to the outside of the ring.

Mikey uses the crowd barricade to help himself up. Meanwhile, in the ring, Howards runs into the ropes opposite K.O. As Howard comes at him, K.O. moves out of the way. But Howard improvises, diving through the ropes straight into Mikey!

Connor: Wow, we don’t see that too often from James Howard!

Cohen: When the EurAsian title is on the line, people do crazy things!

With his two opponents down on the outside, K.O. gets back into the ring to recover a bit. But suddenly, someone comes through the crowd. His face isn’t visible due to the hoodie he’s wearing. He jumps the barricade and rolls into the ring, a steel chair in his hand. K.O. looks worried as the hooded man gets into the ring. Before the champion can react, the hooded man blasts him in the head with the chair. Referee Keith Morse tries to stop the hooded man, but he’s merely pushed away.

Copeland: Who the hell is that!?

Connor: He’s just ruined this amazing match!

Cohen: It doesn’t matter, CC. There’s no DQ in triple threat matches.

The man wraps the chair around Chris K.O’s arm. As the crowd look on in shock, the hooded man climbs to the second rope and jumps off, stomping the chair. Chris lets out a scream of pain, clutching his possible broken arm. The hooded man pulls the hood up and it’s… Dustin Hunter!

Copeland: What the hell!? Hunter was supposed to be K.O’s protégé!

Cohen: Apparently Dustin thinks he’s better than that…

Hunter gets out of the ring and leaves through the crowd as the referee tries to unwrap the chair from around K.O’s arm. Meanwhile, Mikey and Howard have just gotten to their feet and continue brawling, completely unaware of what happened inside the ring. Mikey Irish Whips Howard, sending him colliding into the steel steps with a crash! Stormrage gets into the ring to turn his attention towards K.O, but realises something is wrong. Mikey approaches, but the referee tells him to back off as K.O. is seriously hurt. Mikey takes some steps towards K.O. but stops. Some fans are egging him on, others want him to stop. The referee pleads with Mikey not to do any more damage to K.O. Although he’s reluctant at first, Stormrage does as he’s requested, but turns around right into the Chaos Theory from James Howard!! Howard pulls the referee over to make the count,

1….

2……

3!

The crowd gives a huge pop and Howard cannot believe it as he’s handed the EurAsian title.

Harrys: Here is your winner and NEW EurAsian Champion James Howard!

As the referee goes back to tending to K.O, Howard gets onto the second rope and raises his new title in the air. The medic and the referee help Chris K.O. out of the ring and up the ramp. Howard looks baffled for a moment as this is the first time he’s properly seen what state K.O. is in, but it doesn’t take long before he goes right back to celebrating.

Copeland: We have a new EurAsian champion!

Cohen: Indeed we do, but the match was kind of marred by Dustin Hunter, who came in and may have snapped Chris K.O’s arm in half!
Connor: That is a shame, but we have a worthy winner of a mostly superb match!

Howard is making his way up the ramp, holding the title against his forehead, still not quite believing that it’s real. In the ring, Mikey’s eyes stare straight at Howard with the EurAsian title.

Cohen: What’s really going to haunt Mikey is that he would’ve won this match had he just decided to finish off K.O!

Connor: Whatever is going on with Mikey at the moment, he’s still too good a person to do something like that!

Cohen: Well, being a good person just cost him the EurAsian title!

We cut backstage to see Barbosa and the crowd goes wild for the appearance of the number one contender. Barbosa turns to the left and the camera pans out to reveal the Elite X Champion, S.H.I.T., walking toward him.

S.H.I.T.: S.H.I.T would like it if you severed a limb, tonight, Barbosa.

Barbosa: Poo wishes us injury?

S.H.I.T looks confused for a moment - at least, as confused as a robot can look.

S.H.I.T: Your human expressions are confusing. S.H.I.T wishes you to break your arm.

Barbosa: We do not understand why Poo is being such a meany!

S.H.I.T's frustration is almost palpable - but in another, much more real sense, completely undetectable.

S.H.I.T: No! This is wrong. Your...clavicle? Your...orbital bone? No...your leg! That is it! S.H.I.T desires you to break a leg!

Barbosa looks confused for a moment before happily smiling.

Barbosa: You mean good luck!

S.H.I.T: Yes. S.H.I.T wishes you to have...good luck. S.H.I.T also wishes to clarify that luck is a meaningless human concept that will eventually be proven inferior to calculating steel.

Barbosa embraces S.H.I.T in a vaguely uncomfortable fashion before backing off. His smile drops as he does so.

Barbosa: Your consideration is appreciated, but tonight, we do not need luck. Luck is inferior to steel - and it is also inferior to us.

The camera pans out a bit as the two one time partners stare at each other for a moment before the scene fades to black.

The video begins with a dark hallway. A light shines at the end of it, but suddenly, a silhouette of a man walks in front of it as the man begins walking towards the camera from a good distance away.

Narrator: The journey to the top is challenging.

We see two side shots. One is of Runn lying on the ring-mat in pain, and the other is of Beard holding his neck in pain.

Narrator: The ladder has many rungs.

We see two side shots again. On one side, we see each of Runn's victories in the tournament over James Howard, Mikey Stormrage, and Krypto. On the other side we see Beard's victories over Mason Westhoff, Justin Cooper, and Blade.

Narrator: Friendships are tested.

We see a clip of the announcer's mentioning Runn's long friendship with Strikeforce during his matches.

Narrator: You must own fear, or it will own you.

We see a clip of Beard big booting Justin Cooper and then roaring. The announcer's shout "FEAR THE BEARD!"

The figure continues walking down the hallway as he gets closer.

Narrator: But as you get closer to the top.

We hear the audio clips where the announcers say that Runn advances to the semi-finals, and then it splices into where he is announced to advance to the finals. We then get the same type of clips of the Beard being announced into the semis, and then then finals.

Narrator: It gets more dangerous.

We hear an audio clip where one of the announcer's says that these two men are putting their bodies on the line.

Narrator: And one wrong step-

The figure gets closer to the camera view.

Narrator: Could send you tumbling down the mountain-

We see several clips of Runn and Beard taking bumps.

Narrator: Or rising to the top.

The figure walks into plain view and it is revealed that the figure and the narrator are one in the same. It is WZCW Hall of Famer, Everest.

Everest: This is the WZCW Gold Rush Tournament Finals.

We get treated to a highlight of Ricky Runn and The Beard's career and their respective ascension in the Gold Rush Tournament. The clips finally end and the music dies down.

Everest: There can be only one.

The video cuts out.

Harrys: The following contest is the Gold Rush Tournament Final Match, scheduled for one fall!

The crowd is highly annoyed with Runn’s cocky swag attitude as he struts out of the gorilla position with his large fur coat and stunner shades.. He is one victory away from a shot at the world title and he knows it.

Cohen: I can’t believe that we are this close to potentially seeing Ricky Runn walk out of Redemption as the #1 Contender. Let that sink in folks. Let that sink in…

Copeland: Highly annoying, yes? But boy has his recent attitude change sparked a fire that we have not seen in the ring since his Runn Reyolds Runn days

Harrys: Introducing first, from Chicago, Illinois, weighing 225 pounds, "The Swagtastic voice of a generation", Ricky Runn!

Runn slides into the ring and tosses off his huge fur jacket and removes his shades.

Beard comes out slowly once again. Ezekiel Hewitt is with him as he points down at the ring and whispers things in Beard’s ears. The cuffs are around Beard’s wrists once more as they both walk to the ring..

Harrys: And his opponent, from Beard City, USA, weighing 285 pounds, accompanied by Ezekiel Hewitt, "The Manliest Man in Professional Wrestling" The Beard!

Copeland: Earlier tonight we saw the “new” Beard. Quite honestly, I don’t like it.

Cohen: He is menacing, Seabass. This is the change that Beard needs to be an elite competitor in this company. He is in the right mindset to win tonight and go on to something grand.

Connor: Something about that Hewitt character just gives me the creeps. *shivers*

Hewitt escorts Beard up the stairs and into the ring as he did earlier in the night. Once in the ring, Beard goes to a corner as Hewitt takes the cuffs off and removes the towel atop his head revealing his new look.

Beard cracks his neck as he stares a hole through Runn on the other side of the ring. Runn actually gulps, but he holds his ground in his own corner. We see Hewitt exiting the ring.

Cohen: I do not envy Ricky Runn.

The referee looks at both men. Sweat is pouring from both of their foreheads. A cycle-long journey is drawing to a close! The referee gets a nod from both, and with that the bell is rung. Beard snorts as he fumes like a raging bull. Runn starts jumping up and down in preparation. Runn then begins fist pumping and chanting.

Runn: SWAG! SWAG! SWAG!

No one joins in as the crowd finds him highly obnoxious. Runn yells as he slaps his face in preparation.

Connor: Here we go!

Runn charges out of his corner towards Beard on the opposite side of the ring. As Runn nears him, Beard lifts up his leg and plants a size 15 boot right into his face. The crowd gasps as Runn slams back-first onto the ring mat like a ton of bricks.

Copeland: Wow, that had to hurt.

Cohen: Man!

Beard continues to snort as he reaches down and grabs the hair of the swagtastic superstar. He pulls him up into a dazed position. Beard bides his time as he looks out at the crowd. Beard slowly takes the head of Runn and tucks it underneath his right arm. Hewitt slams his hand on the outside apron. Beard then proceeds to hook one of Runn’s arm around his own head. He grabs the waistline of Runn and looks at the crowd once more. They are all buzzing as the climatic set-up draws them in. Beard roars, but Runn hooks his legs on one of Beard’s and pulls him in for a small package out of nowhere! The referee slides in for the count,

.
3!

Cohen: Oh my god.

Harrys: Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner of the Gold Rush Tournament, and New #1 Contender to the WZCW World Heavyweight Championship, Ricky Runn!

Runn quickly rolls out of the ring as Beard rises to his feet in a storm. Hewitt is quick to enter and stand by his side. They immediately go after the referee. However, Runn is slowly backing up the ramp with a look of shock upon his face. He actually got away with it! He actually did it! He is actually the new #1 Contender to the World Title! The camera pans to different faces in the crowd, and they are stunned as Runn’s music begins to play.

Suddenly Ricky Runn’s new posse comes out to the entrance ramp. Joe Mason and Hollywood Jameson grab Runn and lift him up onto their shoulders while Donny J pops a bottle of champagne and sprays it everywhere. We see Beard tossing the referee around in the ring. He fumes as Hewitt tries to restrain him for the time being.

Copeland: On the eve of our main-event, we now know the winner of the Gold Rush Tournament and the next in line to face either Showtime or Barbosa. That man is Ricky Runn!

Cohen: I still don’t believe it.

The screen fades out with the last shot of Runn and his crew celebrating on the entrance ramp.

AKIYAMA SIGNALS FOR THE BELL!

Harrys: Ladies and gentlemen, your winner, and the new number one contender to the WZCW World Heavyweight Championship, Barbosa!

...and a war gave us a champion.

Connor: Showtime has done it!

The crowd erupts in the largest cheer of the night as senior official Jurou Akiyama counts the three with Callahan so close from breaking up the pin, dropping his head to the ground as he tries to take in the loss. Showtime is barely conscious as the bell rings in his favour with Holmes being completely out.

A collision course for the WZCW Championship ends...

Cohen: Barbosa just pinned the WZCW Champion!

Barbosa stands over Showtime and raises his arm in the air. Outside the ring, there’s chaos as Titus and Vega are brawling at the bottom of the ramp. Titus gains the advantage and Irish whips the Mayhem champion into the crowd barricade, which collapses under the impact of Vega’s body! Before Titus can follow up, several referees comes down and manage to refrain Titus, while a few tend to the hurt Vega as he lies amongst the shocked but excited crowd.

Inside the ring, the referee hands the World Title to Showtime, who is slowly getting to his feet. Barbosa storms forward and grabs the belt but Showtime doesn’t let it go. Barbosa throws a right hand, but Showtime blocks it before hitting a series of shots to the chin of Barbosa! Showtime kicks him in the stomach, and goes for the Showstopper, but Barbosa grabs the belt from off the ground and throws it into Showtime’s head! Showtime goes down, blood beginning to trickle down his forehead from the belt hitting him in the skill. The mixed reaction comes from the crowd again as Barbosa picks up the WZCW title and stares at it, mesmerized for a moment, before gently placing it down beside Showtime’s head and leaving the ring.

Cohen: We have no idea what's going on in Barbosa's head, but he might just be in Showtime's head!

Copeland: We've seen the lengths Barbosa is willing to go to to finally reclaim the WZCW title, but can he beat one of the most dominant WZCW stars in history to do it? We'll find out in two weeks! From Jack and myself, goodnight and we’ll see you at Redemption!

...TONIGHT

Harrys: Ladies and gentlemen, it is now time for your main event of the evening!

The crowd gets to their feet, cheering wildly for the impending contest.

The crowd goes wild as Barbosa emerges slowly onto the stage. The manic man walks with a determined step toward the ring, looking around at the crowd slowly as most of them cheer for his arrival. He reaches the ring and leaps onto the apron, taking one more look around. A small smile creeps across his face, but he soon ducks into the ring and it disappears, Barbosa looking all business once more.

Copeland: And there he is, ladies and gentleman, Barbosa, who defeated Celeste Crimson at Kingdom Come and who looks like perhaps the greatest threat Showtime has ever faced in a one on one contest.

Cohen: You're talking about a man whose stood one on one across the ring from Drake Callahan, Steven Holmes, and Ty Burna, just to name a few, and even so I agree with you Seabass. Barbosa is a former world champion in his own right and in some ways it feels like he's come to take back what's his.

Connor: There is really a big fight atmosphere for this contest, and it really doesn't feel like the crowd is going to have a favorite. This main event really feels huge, I have to say, guys.

Showtime runs out to the stage with his title held high over his head, looking energetic and ready to fight as he does so. He stops at the top of the ramp and raises his championship title, knowing full well that the camera is panning over him and giving everyone an image for the ages. He makes no secret of grinning ear to ear as he soaks in his moment, the crowd cheering for him with abandon, before he makes his way to the ring, slapping hands across the left aisle on his way down.

Copeland: And the three time world champion has arrived, and he certainly doesn't look like he feels the same way about Barbosa as many of us do. There's almost no worry on his face.

Cohen: I've seen enough of Showtime to know that the one thing he understands maybe better than anyone is the mental aspect of wrestling. Showing fear to Barbosa right now would be like blood in the water with a great white looking at you. I can guarantee you he's worried, but he's not going to show it.

Connor: This might be Showtime's greatest one on one test - but look at it another way, I think this has to be looked at as the most intense one on one battle Barbosa has ever faced as well. Maybe Showtime really isn't as worried as you think he is, Jack.

Showtime raises his belt to the crowd one more time in the ring before stepping over to a corner. Harrys takes the center of the ring and begins.

Harrys: The following contest is scheduled for one fall, and it is for the WZCW World Heavyweight Championship!

The crowd continues cheering through Harrys introductions.

Harrys: Introducing first, the challenger, from Bedlam, weighing in at 237 pounds, Barbosa!

Barbosa takes an aggressive step toward Showtime, staring him down. Showtime has no reaction, standing his ground. Barbosa wipes his face and takes a step back.

Harrys: And his opponent, he is the WZCW World Heavyweight Champion, from Winnipeg, Canada, weighing in at 219 pounds, "Showtime" David Cougar!

Showtme likewise takes a step toward Barbosa, raising his gold to the sky as he does so. Barbosa looks only at the gold, ignoring Showtime. Showtime grins again before stepping back to his corner.

Akiyama takes the title from Showtime, before presenting it first to Barbosa and then to the crowd, who cheer for the display of the golden belt. Akiyama hands it off to a ringside attendant. Satisfied with both men in their corners, Akiyama signals for the bell. It rings and we are underway.

Both men step toward the center of the ring. They both look hesitantly for a wristlock, neither one wiling to commit to it, Barbosa taking a swipe at Showtime's abdomen but missing. Both men take a step back before charging at each other and locking together head to head. They struggle for a moment and Showtime gets the better of it, grabbing hold of Barbosa's arm. Showtime wrenches it hard and brings it around Barbosa's back in a hammerlock. Showtime puts his weight into it and forces Barbosa to the ground, keeping the hammerlock on. Showtime, keeping the hold on, slowly uses his other hand to manipulate Barbosa, turning him over, and getting his shoulders on the mat! Akiyama counts and gets one, but Barbosa is quickly out and breaks free of Showtime. Both men get to their feet and Barbosa steps back to a corner. Showtime grins at Barbosa, who only glares death at him, before both men return to a lock up in the middle of the ring. Showtime goes for a leg this time, taking it from under Barbosa and dropping to the mat with him, wrapping around the leg. He overextends, and Barbosa locks in a headlock from the side. Barbosa pulls up a bit and - he rakes the eyes! Akiyama warns him and Barbosa goes back to the headlock. Barbosa turns Showtime over and gets on his back, switching to a chinlock from behind. Showtime forces his way to a vertical base and pushes Barbosa into the ropes with his shoulder, forcing a break. Showtime backs away as Barbosa breaks. Showtime gets to the center of the ring and grins again.

Copeland: A little bit of a feeling out process here in the early going, and that makes sense, as both men are trying to get an idea of what their opponent is thinking and planning for this match.

Cohen: It's not going to last long, trust me. These two are both high energy, very offensive guys, and they're going to start throwing haymakers before too long.

Barbosa comes out of the corner and goes for Showtime with a headlock, but Showtime ducks aside and hits him with a few elbows to the gut. Barbosa bent over, Showtime hits the ropes, rebounds - but Barbosa nails him with a clothesline! Showtime is wiped out as Barbosa stands tall! Showtime rolls over to a corner and drags himself partway to his feet, and Barbosa pursues him immediately, starting to throw punches and kicks all over Showtime as he huddles in the corner. Barbosa grows more and more furious until Akiyama has to physically drag him off out of the corner. Barbosa backs off, but not for long, as he charges Showtime in the corner - but Showtime ducks aside and uses Barbosa's momentum to lift him up and set him on the top rope. Showtime prepares to leap - but Barbosa answers with a stiff boot to Showtime's face! Showtime backs away and Barbosa drops out of the corner, charges, and NAILS SHOWTIME WITH A CLOTHESLINE! Showtime is laid out and Barbosa goes after him, pulling him up head first, and dropping him with a hangman's neckbreaker. Showtime clutches at his neck but Barbosa doesn't relent, dropping to the ground and locking in a chinlock from behind on Showtime.

Connor: Barbosa really focusing on Showtime's neck in the early going. Jack, do you think that was a predetermined gameplan or something that he just took advantage of?

Cohen: I don't know that Barbosa plans anything in advance, but he does have an arsenal to exploit the neck and head of his opponents. It shouldn't be far from anyone's mind that he got to this match by knocking Celeste out with a furious series of elbows, so he could definitely be setting himself up for the same position.

Barbosa wrenches in the chinlock for several long moments before Showtime is able to force his way to his knees and use his hands to break the hold. Showtime rolls over to the ropes, but Barbosa pursues him and stomps on his neck. Showtime rolls into the center of the ring and Barbosa drops an elbow on him. Barbosa goes for a cover but gets only one as Showtime easily kicks out. Barbosa pulls Showtime to his feet and drops his elbow in the crook of Showtime's neck. Showtime drops to a knee and Barbosa kicks him in the back of the neck again. Showtime hits the mat and Barbosa stomps him in the back, kicking him around the ring. Barbosa kicks Showtime again and then lays him flat on the mat. He hits the ropes, rebounds, leaps, looking to a drop a knee, but Showtime rolls aside and Barbosa crashes to the mat! Showtime gets to his feet, hits the ropes, rebounds, Barbosa sits up and Showtime takes him out with a running knee! Barbosa rolls out of the ring and Showtime takes a deep breath inside before going after him. Showtime pulls Barbosa to his feet - and hits him on the outside with a reverse neckbreaker! Showtime rolls back inside the ring and lets Akiyama begin the count.

Copeland: Smart strategy by Showtime here, using a count from referee Jorou Akiyama to recover on the inside a bit, and here's where the champion's advantage really comes into play.

Cohen: Smart strategy to you, maybe, but I call it cowardice! Go after Barbosa! No one paid to see Showtime lay on the ground.

Akiyama's count has reached five...Barbosa is stirring a bit....six, seven...Barbosa is on one knee and has an arm on the outside....eight........nine!........Barbosa slides into the ring at last! Showtime is ready for him and pulls him to his feet by his head, but Barbosa furiously unloads a series of right hands to Showtime's chest, catching the champion off guard. Showtime weathers the storm, however, counters with an elbow, and rapidly gets off a snap powerslam on Barbosa. Showtime hits the outside, gets on the apron, leaps over the top and flips over, hitting a senton atomico on Barbosa! The crowd applauds the champion's ingenuity as he goes for a cover, getting one, two, but only two as Barbosa kicks out. Showtimes pulls Barbosa to his feet, forces him into the corner, and nails him with an elbow to his gut. He hits another elbow to Barbosa's chin before backing up a bit, pulling Barbosa out of the corner with him. He hits a snapmare and then locks in a headlock from behind on the challenger. Showtime pulls Barbosa to his feet with the headlock still on; he transitions out of it and nails a DDT on Barbosa! Showtime opts not to cover, instead wrapping around Barbosa with a crucifix headlock! Barbosa struggles with the hold, kicking, trying to get to the ropes, but Showtime has it on tight! Barbosa keeps writhing around - and he gets a foot on the ropes! Akiyama calls for the break and Showtime obliges, getting to his feet. Showtime takes a moment before pulling Barbosa to his feet; the challenger has some life in him as he hits a series of open handed slaps to Showtime's chest. Showtime counters with a knee to the gut and a series of uppercuts that knock Barbosa back. Showtime forces Barbosa into the ropes, whips him across the ring, reels off a dropkick - but Barbosa hangs onto the ropes! Showtime crashes to the mat and Barbosa closes in, and NAILS A SAMBO SUPLEX! Barbosa passes on the cover, instead catching his breath as Showtime rolls across the ring.

Copeland: Barbosa with excellent presence of mind and wherewithal there to stop Showtime's run, but all in all a very back and forth contest so far.

Connor: And that's the point I was trying to make earlier - this is mutually perhaps the greatest test of their abilities for each man in the ring. It's no surprise for it to be so evenly matched.

Showtime pulls himself up in the corner and Barbosa goes after him, nailing a hard across his chest. Barbosa tries to whip Showtime across the ring, Showtime reverses, Barbosa goes into the corner instead. Showtime charges but Barbosa ducks aside, and Barbosa chops him across the chest again! Barbosa pulls Showtime to his feet, elevates him, and HURLS HIM WITH A POWERBOMB INTO THE CORNER! HE FOLLOWS WITH A RUNNING BULLDOG! HE COVERS AND GETS ONE, TWO, BUT ONLY TWO! Showtime kicks out and Barbosa gets to his feet quickly. He pulls Showtime to his feet and leaves him standing in the center of the ring, hits the ropes, rebounds - Showtime gets his boot up and stops Barbosa in his tracks! Showtime backs up, hits the ropes, rebounds, tries for another boot - but Barbosa blocks it, pulling Showtime in and hitting a series of elbows! Showtime ducks one and counters with a stiff elbow shot of his own! Showtime NAILS AN ENZUIGIRI! He pulls Barbosa to his feet and hits a powerslam before heading to the top rope. Showtime leaps off with picture perfect form and nails the elbow drop! Showtime forgoes the cover, pulls Barbosa to his feet, puts on a waistlock - Barbosa reverses, hooks Showtme around the head, and hits a DDT! Both men are down and the crowd cheers in admiration for both of them! They both get to their feet slowly, standing up at the same time as the crowd cheers on. Showtime hits Barbosa across the chest with a chop! Barbosa answers with an elbow! They go back and forth, chop for elbow, elbow for chop, trading evenly until Showtime switches to a forearm shot! It staggers Barbosa and Showtime repeats it to knock Barbosa to the ground!

Connor: Both of these men very proficient strikers, and Showtime really just gets the better of it there.

Cohen: I'm a little surprised, to be honest - I thought Barbosa had the better chin here, but Showtime is showing the extreme tenacity that made him a champion.

Showtime goes after Barbosa but Barbosa gets to one knee, refusing to be pulled up. Showtime backs up, aims a kick at his head, but Barbosa rolls under it, gets to his feet quickly, and hits a STIFF ELBOW TO SHOWTIME'S HEAD! Showtime falls to his feet! Barbosa is unsteady on his own feet but he manages to keep them as he looks on at Showtime prone on the ground! Barbosa waits for Showtime to stir, Akiyama ensuring that he wants to continue, Showtime staggers to a knee, gets to his feet - AND BARBOSA WIPES HIM OUT WITH A CLOTHESLINE! Barbosa goes for the cover and gets one, two, but only two as Showtime just manages to kick out! Barbosa doesn't let up, dragging Showtime up and lifting him, setting him on the top rope! He gets on the middle rope, hooks Showtime, looking for a superplex - but Showtime blocks, striking at Barbosa's midsection. He keeps striking - and Barbosa falls off the ropes! Barbosa backs up and Showtime tries to catch his breath - but BARBOSA FURIOUSLY CHARGES, NAILS A CLOTHESLINE, AND SENDS SHOWTIME HURLING OFF THE TOP ROPE OUT OF THE RING!

Copeland: A huge shot for Barbosa there - I've never seen anyone knocked from the ring so forcibly as that!

Cohen: But he has to be careful - he can't beat Showtime by countout and become the champion! He needs to get Showtime back in the ring!

Barbosa himself collapses in the ring and can barely stir, the toll of the match clearly exacting its cost on him. Akiyama is forced to begin the count, reaching one, two...Showtime is able to push himself up on his arms as Barbosa tries to crawl toward him from the inside...three, four...Barbosa slides out of the ring!...five...Barbosa grabs Showtime and hurls him back into the ring, following him immediately! Barbosa gets to his feet, pulls Showtime up, locks in a straight jacket chokehold - AND NAILS THE SPLIT PERSONALITY! He forgoes the cover as he has to catch his breath, allowing Showtime to roll to the corner. He charges Showtime in the corner, dropping his shoulder into the champion's gut, before grabbing hold of him, elevating him, and CRUSHING HIM WITH THE MOOD STABILIZER! HE DOESN'T LET UP, HE PULLS SHOWTIME TO HIS FEET AND NAILS THE DOPPELGANGER! THE CROWD CAN'T BELIEVE IT AS HE COVERS, HE GETS ONE, TWO, -

BUT ONLY TWO!!! SHOWTIME KICKS OUT!

Connor: I thought it was over! Barbosa had to feel that that was the end! He can't believe it!

Cohen: No one can! How many superstars has Barbosa put away with that move?

Barbosa simply looks stunned as he dully looks at Akiyama, who adamantly signals that it was only two. He shakes his head and goes back on the offensive, pulling Showtime to his feet, whipping him across the ring and into the ropes, Showtime rebounds - no, he holds onto the ropes! Barbosa charges instead but Showtime pops out with an elbow and counters it! Showtime closes with Barbosa, he goes for the Ratings Crash - but Barbosa counters and backs up a step, then nails Showtme with an elbow! He follows it up with a ROARING ELBOW AND SHOWTIME IS DOWN AGAIN! Barbosa drops to the mat and locks in a headlock! He wrenches it hard and Showtime looks like he can barely breathe! The vice like grip is choking Showtime and Barbosa isn't relenting! The referee checks on Showtime who adamantly shakes his head, instead he tries to force his way to a vertical base, he gets to his feet! Barbosa switches out of the hold and then elevates Showtime for a BACKBREAKER! He drops to the mat and goes for a cover, getting one, two, but only two! Barbosa slaps the mat in frustration before rolling aside and standing up to ponder his next move.

Copeland: Barbosa is furiously throwing everything he has at Showtime who just refuses to give, and you get the feeling that every moment that Barbosa doesn't put Showtime away is leading to Showtime fighting back into this one.

Cohen: For guys like Showtime, that can be the case sometimes, but don't think that the war of attrition is going to favor him. Barbosa is just as capable of ending this with one more big move.

Showtime has managed to stand up in the corner, grimacing in pain, as Barbosa decides to go back on the offensive and charges. Showtime blocks him with an elbow! Barbosa is staggered and Showtime summons his strength, lifts Barbosa onto the top rope! He follows him, he straights up, pulls Barbosa up - HE FLIES AND CONNECTS WITH THE FINAL ACT! THE CROWD IS ON THEIR FEET, SHOWTIME COVERS, HE GETS ONE, TWO -

BUT ONLY TWO!!! SHOWTIME IS STUNNED AS HE ROLLS OFF OF BARBOSA!

Connor: Maybe the most underrated thing about Showtime is his lightning quick speed and ability to turn the match on you in a heartbeat, and there are very few superstars who could have withstood that Final Act.

Copeland: Both men with just an unbelievable will to win, and I don't know what's going to end this match.

As Showtime rolls away, Barbosa rolls out of the ring to escape further punishment. With both men down, Akiyama doesn't start the count, allowing Showtime to get to his feet and then pursue Barbosa on the outside. He finds Barbosa, pulls him to his feet, grabs his head - AND NAILS BACKSTAGE ON THE MAT OUTSIDE! Barbosa is down and writhing in pain and Akiyama comes out to check on him. Showtime gets to his feet slowly and takes a long look at Barbosa, then at the ring - and he picks up Barbosa and slides him back in the ring! The message is obvious - he wants to beat Barbosa in the middle of the ring! He slides into the ring after him, lifts Barbosa onto his shoulders, and drops him on his face! He covers and gets one, two, but only two! Barbosa still has the wherewithal to kick out! Showtime gets up, grabs Barbosa's legs and LOCKS IN THE COMMERCIAL BREAK! BARBOSA IS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING WITH NOWHERE TO GO! HE TRIES TO GET TO THE ROPES BUT HE IS GETTING NOWHERE! AKIYAMA ASKS HIM IF HE WANTS TO QUIT! HE'S SHAKING HIS HEAD! HE RAISES HIS HAND! HE - HE -

HE DOESN'T TAP! HE CRAWLS TO THE ROPES! HE'S A STEP CLOSER - HE COLLAPSES! AKIYAMA IS ASKING AGAIN! HE SHAKES HIS HEAD! HE REACHES FOR - NOT QUITE - HE REACHES FOR IT - HE - HE -

HE GETS TO THE ROPES! Akiyama signals for the break! It feels as if everyone in the arena has exhaled, Showtime excepted!

Copeland: Unbelievable! Showtime has thrown everything at him!

Cohen: The Commercial Break has won the world championship before, but it wasn't quite enough to defend it tonight - at least, not yet!

Showtime drags Barbosa to his feet, pulls him to the corner, sets him up on the top rope! Everyone knows what he's looking for as he goes to the top rope with Barbosa! He hooks him for it - but Barbosa blocks! A series of desperate elbows and Barbosa breaks free! Showtime drops out of the corner and Barbosa kicks him away. He drops to the mat, he charges Showtime and NAILS HIM AGAIN WITH A BRUTAL CLOTHESLINE! He pulls him to his feet, drops him with a DDT - he hangs on, stands up drops him AGAIN - HE HANGS ON, STANDS UP WITH THE HEADLOCK ON, HE SMASHES SHOWTIME'S SKULL INTO THE MAT WITH ANOTHER DDT - MULTIPLICITY! He covers and gets one, two, BUT ONLY TWO! Showtime still kicks out! Barbosa drops to the mat, pulls Showtime over his knee, he throws an elbow - but Showtime struggles, writhes, stops Barbosa from getting enough force! He breaks loose of Barbosa, both men get to their feet - Showtime connects with the RATINGS CRASH! Showtime pulls Barbosa to his feet, desperately gets him into the corner, forces Barbosa to the top rope! He wants one more Final Act! He gets to the top rope - but Barbosa blocks him again! Showtime is staggered and Barbosa tries to force him off of him - Showtime loses his footing, turns out, his back to Barbosa but still teetering on the top rope! Barbosa grabs him from behind - HE HOOKS HIM, LEAPS OFF THE TOP ROPE AND CONNECTS WITH A DOPPELGANGER! SUPER DOPPELGANGER! SUPER DOPPELGANGER! HE COVERS AND GETS ONE, TWO, -

AND - BUT ONLY TWO! ONLY TWO! ONLY TWO! SHOWTIME KICKS OUT!

Connor: Showtime refuses to lose! What will it take?

Akiyama is FURIOUSLY signalling that it was only two! Barbosa wastes no time, he pulls Showtime over his knee and UNLEASHES CALCULATED MANIC FURY! ELBOW AFTER ELBOW RAINS DOWN ON SHOWTIME'S HEAD! AKIYAMA IS ASKING HIM! AKIYAMA IS ASKING HIM! SHOWTIME IS - SHOWTIME IS -

SHOWTIME IS OUT COLD! AKIYAMA SIGNALS FOR THE BELL! IT'S ALL OVER!

Harrys: Ladies and gentlemen, your winner, by knockout...AND THE NEW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION...BARBOSA!

Copeland: Ladies and gentlemen, I just can't believe what we just saw. I have never seen anyone withstand as much punishment as Showtime did and still hang on that long.

Cohen: It doesn't matter how much punishment he took, Seabass - it only matters that it was too much in the end! He got knocked out cold by our new champion - in the exact same way that Barbosa won the right to this match!

A host of medics are immediately out to check on Showtime who is still unresponsive in the center of the ring. Akiyama is handed the belt and gives it over to Barbosa, then raises his hand. The crowd is on their feet, cheering for Barbosa, cheering for Showtime, cheering for the match they just witnessed. Not a few of them are looking at one another in a daze, perhaps hoping that Showtime is alright. The medics are clustered around him and it is too difficult to tell his condition. The new champion is standing tall in the center of the ring, his belt held high above his head. He spares a glance for Showtime on the ground, surveying his work, before raising his eyes to his new gold with a satisfied smile slowly spreading across his face.

Connor: Showtime's history making third reign is at an end, and the second reign of Barbosa over WZCW is begun! What does the new era of madness hold in store for us? We'll see you next time!
