WZCW Discussion Thread

We've been aiming for a Friday (the American one) release for the show. We've got a few bits left to do but it's coming together nicely. It's more than 3/4 done. Hopefully everything comes together and we can get this out. Boards for the anniversary show will follow the next day.

The show will be up soon enough.

Anniversary show boards will be up tomorrow.

As always...

Don't be a lemon. Use spoiler tags immediately following the show.

I need:
Cyberpunk, Milenko and Matrix to PM me on here or Discord once they've read the match.

I hope Batti & Callie meet again very soon. I've enjoyed that feud more than most I've been in so far in the fed. You did an exceptional job Matrix, congrats

EDIT: Disregard. Fuck Matrix.

The card for the anniversary show is up.

If you're not in a match you have the EurAsian but if you want the round off you can.

On Chapter 3 in Gears of War 4. It's pretty good so far but my big minus for this game is most of the combat so far.

Walk into an area, Airplane drops pods that break open to reveal robots. Fight them until they die.

Walk into next area. Airplane drops pods. Fight them until they die.

Cinematic.

Fight off another wave of robots that were (you guessed it) dropped into the area by plane....again.

Next area, fight off a horde of enemies.

Cinematic.

The formula has not changed and has gotten so repetitive it's become pretty boring despite the great graphics and sound. Voice acting is also superb.

Newer FPS's seem like they mostly suck ass. That's why I prefer older games like Goldeneye, Turok, Silent Hill, Resident Evil, and Perfect Dark.

Well, first of all, Gears of War isn't a FPS. It's a Third Person Shooter. Regardless, it has a very good campaign. It gets better the further you get in to it too. I concur that it seems repetitive and the action comes on waves. But that's genuinely just the way the series has been constructed. Sometimes it's very noticeable and other times it's well hidden. I'm sure by the end of the game you'll have forgot about it and enjoyed it.
