I usually like to have Dagger take a look at my RP before I post it because he's good at catching thing I miss or telling me I should change a scene from a strip club full of naked women to something less offensive.

I've finished my RP a couple of days back. I didn't want to post it. Reading it over and over again had given me lots of options to refine it to perfection. But left me with asking myself, could it be the best RP of the round?

It's a Friday night draft for me. Then comes the cutting or adding....mostly cutting and brainstorming. Some ideas I think are great are lame to another multiple set of eyes.

I don't know what Echelon's or Ty's normal RP length is but I'm working on 5.5 pages and 2,609 words with a rather big chunk still to go.

For me that's a lot

it's going to be an awful lot for the creative team to read this round. My RP crosses 4000 words already and not finished yet. I feel the length is necessary to complete my story.

My RP will be 7851 words long, feature cameos from John Smith and Chris Jones and have Matt Tastic riding a unicorn across the Pacific Ocean. I expect to be finished Sunday morning at 3:23am after I'm done staring at anime girls for 10 minutes. No. Its really is just staring. Its how the creative juices flow.

On a sidenote, how is it every time I do a podcast with someone on this site with all the intention to do it weekly but then have to stop because I get sick.

Hey don't hate on the one person here that can knock out a 3500+ word RP without breaking a sweat.

I still wait for the day when Thriller gets pissed and comes up with a 15,000 word manifesto that spans over the course of 3 posts and promptly drops the mic.

It's just I have loose ends to tie up and a couple more to start for the next cycle

When I predicted 7.5 pages & 3,300 words I was under buy a full 1 1/4 pages and 1,200+ words.

I'll try to shorten it over the next few days but I doubt it will do much.

Any volunteers wanna take a look at it?

You can write a quality RP at a lengthy word count, as long as the story being told is engaging enough to keep your interest, and you can successfully peak the reader's interest over a long period of time. It is difficult to do, but it is workable.

I try to have a balance of both. Everything in moderation, as they say. It's just easier to do.
