WZCW Discussion Thread

Spent the majority of the day entertaining my goddaughter at the Exhibition. Hauled on every spinning, flipping, swinging ride in the place. My old stomach is still deciding if it's OK to relax. I miss my youth, I used to be able to tackle any ride. Hell you could put ropes on my feet and haul me behind a plane and I'd run up after wanting to go again.

We started the day on these Teacup shaped spinning things, I swear we had the spinningest one and that set the stage for recovery throughout.

I feel I just spent the day in Astronaught training.

I defeated Ty on PPV for the tag titles.

Nothing you've done this year can touch that. Happy to give you some tips though.

I defeated Ty at Kingdom Come for the World title. Get on my level, son. (EDIT: Sorry Ty, don't mean to drag you into this).

And I achieved the record of longest reigning Elite champion in WZCW history. Only record you've completed is being the biggest pile of suck in WZCW history.

Firstly, the best part of your World title reign was that time JGlass made a thread and included a part where he pointed out everything wrong with it.

Secondly, I was still in high school when that happened so you really need to move on and stop living in the past. I get it, you suck and haven't done much lately but it's just sad to reach so far back for anything of note.

Finally, you thinking that your World title reign actually counts is cute.

That's only because the previous champ didn't get a rematch. ;)

My reign may have sucked, and I'm willing to accept an argument on that, but that "shit title reign" is better than anything you've been able to muster.

How does the argument "stop holding onto the past" work when you, yourself, are using a terrible excuse of "I was a pre-pubescent high school girl, and none of the boys paid any attention to me, so I'm taking my hate online. Go Tumblr". Even so, you still don't recognise, and quite simply, avoiding, my amazing Elite title reign that happened this year... much like you avoid fighting me.

I know my brain is cute, and this is a very weird time to start flirting with me. Maybe you should start flirting with some actual accomplishments, and then you might be remembered for something.

That's only because the previous champ didn't get a rematch. ;)

I'm an odd numbered group of teenage girls right now, because I literally can't even.

Do you 2 actually hate each other or do you kiss and make up when it's done?

Something I've always wondered

I have reached out multiple times to Falkon to try and squash any problems we might have. I offered him my terms and he turned them down.

1. You must leave the fed for no less than twelve months.
2. Issue an apology to the members of the fed for the horrible RPs and undeserved championship reigns.
3. Build a statue in my likeness and worship it every morning and night.
4. Change your signature to one that reads "Prophet is my superior" and change your location to anywhere other than Australia.

Simple things.

So what is really up with All-Stars? Are we just gonna go ahead with the roulette rounds and just put All-Stars up when it's ready or what?

After all this time I thinks it's ok to be a little perturbed.

Basically I'm about to get real and angry.

All-Stars needs to die. It was fun once, but now it is just a hassle. No one wants to work on it, the RP turnout is low, and everyone who does work on it just drags their feet with it. All it does these days is throw us out of our rhythm.

I touched on it a little on the podcast, but I've since gotten madder, to the point that this is going to be the last All-Stars if I have any say in it. Hell, if those who are still working on the show don't get their work done by Monday, I'm either going to cancel it all together or just Meltdown 23 it and post who won then move on forever.

Hopefully it's not because I opened my big mouth.

I noticed this a bit to. Luckily it didn't affect me much this time.

I'm ok with either one, especially if people are being jackasses about getting stuff turned in. This is supposed to be fun, not a hassle for you guys.

I would like to know if I won though

A few things here.

1. Was it opened up to non Creative members to work on as it had been done in the past?

2. I'll be blunt, this has been a recurring theme for the past 2 rounds and I'm sure I could find more examples if I went back a bit further as far as lateness of release regardless of it being the All-Stars show. From what I can tell it took 17 days for Unscripted to be released after the final RP's were posted. That's highly unacceptable and if someone gets mad at me for it, well I've ran the whole show so I can't get the "you don't know what's going on" bullshit. I'm not active right now but I do keep tabs on everything. It took 14 days for Ascension 108 and Meltdown 131 to be posted after final RP's were posted. We're on day 12 since All Stars RPs were posted.

3. If it's all Creative handling this, then changes need to get made ASAP or people are going to lose serious interest in the fed. I may recommend this regardless if it's all Creative or not.

4. I believe a system needs to be in place so that if someone just simply up and disappears that is on Creative, they get replaced rather swiftly. It's harsh but if you just up and leave, you can't sit around and hope that person comes back on and gets to work. Plenty of veterans that can step in and help if absolutely needed or fresh blood to at least get a body in there to help. This goes equal for those that are not contributing as much as the others as far as work load. It's a privilege to be on Creative, and you should be able to lose that right if you're not holding up your end.

I really don't know what to say. We used to judge RP's, and have the shows done by the end of the weekend and felt like shit if we were a day or two late, and this was with a far larger roster. This two weeks after RP's are done is completely unacceptable as a time frame for a show to be posted. Shows should be posted within 4-5 days.

I would not assign blame just on All Stars, but the system clearly needs retooling after the long delays of the prior two rounds. I do not know what is going on behind the curtain anymore, but if you're getting mad Yaz, then you need to pound the table and lop some heads off if necessary. If nothing else get the point across that shit's gotta change.

It isn't because you spoke up. Frankly I'm glad someone else is pissed.

I've been kind of pissed about it for a couple of days. I have finished as much of my work as I can until the show comes together.

Like, I don't want to throw anyone under the bus, but we have three matches finished. It is unacceptable. I wanted the show up last weekend. I have had no time to think of my actual Roulette Round RP because I've been stressing over All Stars, and it is quickly becoming apparent that I may be the only one who gave a shit.

Like I said in my previous post, I'm not to the point where I'm ready to publicly throw names under the bus, but we opened up the show to be worked on by non creative members. Spidey and I were the only two of the five guys currently on staff who decided to devote their full time to working on All Stars, which I'm fine with. The other guys pitched in a little, but they wanted to recharge their batteries, which we all need from time to time.

I've been too relaxed lately, but things are going to change. We have two new creative members being brought on soon, and it is a chance to reset.

Consider this a public warning to the team and the future members of the team under my reign, I want you to have fun, but if you are given the privilege of joining creative, I expect you to work hard.

Concerned may be a more appropriate word in my own case, but for what it's worth I had been wondering about the show also. As well as the decision on the new Creative members. I didn't say anything other than a PM to Killjoy as I had a feeling things were stressful in the back and did not want to worsen the stress for anyone. If All Stars is killed off as a brand, it may be for the best after this situation. There could be a better way to be able to have a break of some sorts to use silly other characters, since for me that was the one thing I really liked about All Stars. Anyway, just being honest since others are.

I am kinda with Yaz on this one. All-star is a fun concept and all, but from what I've seen from last 2 all-stars, it's less fun writing because it has no impact on ongoing stories and it's more of a hindrance than anything else.

IMO, all-star shouldn't be an annual event. As far as shows being delayed last few rounds, I guess creative is struggling with number of hands to write. Guest writing is not always an option as the writer wouldn't know the story in place or discussion that might've happened in the back.

Guest writers can be informed of whatever is needed to write a match properly but worst case, it can be edited heavily. That's still easier than writing the whole thing.

My run as HoC may be remembered as fondly as Prophet recalling Falkons' successes but my experience is similar to Ty - quicker shows, bigger roster. We implemented the guest writer thing for when we needed it.

I reached out to Yaz to express the concerns that Ty said. Because I offered to write a match. Yaz echoed these concerns some time ago. I trust him to sort this. He's losing an incredibly reliable member in Funkay and I replacing him with two people. That's a good thing.

This new team need until KC to show that they can improve and pull things together. Let's trust that they will do this.

You're most likely third in the rankings of HoC's during my time behind Phoenix and Ty. That's pretty good. Think you're underselling yourself.

This "free" period has sort of affected my thinking badly.

I know what I want to convey in my Roulette Round RolePlay but I ain't able to even start it yet. The Link is sort of broken.... With less than 70 hours left for the deadline, I hope that I can RolePlay instead of no-showing.

I had my match I wrote for All Stars turned in July 30th. Before any voting, all that needed to be changed would be the ending if voting turned the other way. I also threw two Rps in for the show for Frank Corpsin and Step Bros. I was looking forward to the laughs with whatever result came from these characters. I think next time guest writers are assigned to write matches for shows there should be a 10 day limit. Once the 10 days is up, take whatever sections or matches left on the show and give it to active posters or posters that have time. I realize during the week we all have jobs, some of us may even work weekends or party it up wild style or family it up family style. Weekends is where I write 99.9% of my RPs, (usually on a Saturday night) this delay could've been avoided by a time limit clock for all involved.

While we're waiting on All Stars or taking a break from writing Roulette RP's or if you're just bored, you could always go vote in the BattleZone threads today if you haven't yet.
