And What if it is a championship match?
They'd probably get attacked backstage by someone of the opposite heel/face alignment and the match wouldn't take place. If there's a title it would likely become up for grabs in another match.

I caught a super fat Bulbasaur. I was always the kid who liked Bulbasaur....I got picked on a lot growing up.

I have a Bulbasaur too. Met to catch Charmander but they popped up at the same time and my game glitched and made me click Bulbasaur. Pretty happy with the game so far. I went for a walk today after work and caught a few pidgey, rattata, eevee, and pikachu.
I like Bulbasaur too, I just like Charmander and Squirtle a lot more!
I almost always picked the Water starter in the ones I played. Squirtle in Blue, Totodile in Gold, Torchic in Emerald (he was the exception to this but I cleared the entire game with only him doing any battling), and Piplup in Diamond.
