WZCW Discussion Thread

I don't think a special thread it necessary.

"John Doe locks his opponent in The World of LaVey, the cattle mutilation hold"

Some used to write it that way. If there's another link attached to the show it'll slow down the flow of reading and will hurt the reader.

Doctor just told me that I'm not going to need chemo right now and I'll be monitored monthly with scans to keep an eye on it. I'll be back to work by June 1st.

Excellent to hear, Jeff. Keep strong man.

Thankful we have a bit of time to RP cuz I'm stuck in bumfuck hell atm. Using a public library. Excited about Ram taking on Slaughter. I wasn't there to see the matchups before they were posted.

As am I, Spider. Should be a good one.

Here's an idea for WZCW creative staff. When posting a show or PPV, there should be an accompanying link (thread) where somebody can quickly check out what wrestling move is being applied.

This will come in handy for special moves and the odd signature move that's been retitled. If a new viewer had to view a match and near the end of the match, Kagura hit Destiny's Dance of Painful Combo's number 3 (example, not a real name for Kagura's move) the viewer would then have to back out, find the roster section (tricky for a new viewer) in the WZCW.COM section, click rosters, click Kagura then find out what the heck Destiny's Dance of whatever combo actually is. With the link accompanying the show, it's accessible immediately and with a simple chart for each wrestler.

It's a good idea but kinda unfeasible. In the old days they used to put it in brackets but that died out by the time that I got in creative.

The key is using description to make it clearer.

^^^ What Numbers said. Adding a link is a pain in the ass, and we've been trying to work to add some description in, so there's an idea of what the move is, without being blatant. Like, we know the Critical Hit is an RKO, and the description would call it a cutter, but not a leaping cutter or something like that.

When I wrote matches I normally put the actual name of the finisher in the narrative while the announcer said the name of the finisher. So with Mikey I'd write world's strongest slam or powerslam in the match while the announcer screamed "Game Over!"

Then why not posted? :suspic:
I usually get mine done so early I let it sit for a day or 2 reread it, send it to someone and get their opinion, redo anything that needs redoing then post it.

I'm at the part where I'm waiting for the person to get back to me.

There's no prize for getting it in early, especially this round with the deadline still being 8 days away.
