WZCW Discussion Thread

Delay is on me, boys. Besides working on one of the Lottery parts, I've also spent the week diligently setting my own website. That's all set and done and with tomorrow being a holiday, I can spend the night tonight finishing the PPV.

So we're looking at Tuesday UK time really?

Just so I'm not waiting up tonight is all.

There's a lot of things people use in Rps and there's always a theme.

LL it was:

Match highlights.
Obscure family members.
Throwing out the word fuck.
Inner demons.

is that a credit or criticism? I mean really coz I couldn't sort it out :p

I'm curious what your biggest challenge is? Is it getting from point A to B and so on, the flow of the match, or getting too descriptive and detailed?

I'm fine with getting from Point A to Point B. If I know what spots there have to be and who wins, it's just a matter of bridging those gaps. The easiest parts were the entrances and the announcer reactions. I'd say it is the flow and the details that I struggled on. I can play the match choreography out in my head, but I have to be honest.... As silly as this may sound, despite having watched wrestling for most of my life (since before Raw existed), I am truthfully unfamiliar with the names of very many moves. This makes it difficult to write. That, plus writing speaking scenes in my own RP's and fictional works outside the forum has always been easier for me than writing fights (or matches in the case here). I've written both a singles match and a Rumble/Lottery before, really hated both. I feared I would drag the team down in my match quality compared to everyone else's, and it wouldn't be fair of me to accept an offer to join if all I did was write segments, should another offer appear.

That was the problem I had, for me I always wrote matches like they were highlights not the full thing.

It's 4am here, and I can definitely say that was worth the wait.

Feels fantastic to be back. Congrats to the new champions and of course, Haiku, definitely thought he had the best RP this round from the ones I saw.

Welp, just got back from a Drive In Theater, might as well pull this back. Really not expecting the win, but I think this should be a great read. Just wanted o say my thanks to creative, to all the members of the fed. I know of at least one surprise coming your way, but I won't spoil it now. Gonna go read this. Right now, if I had to pick, I'd say... Titus and Abel, at the finish.

Welp, number three, boys.

I mean... If Flair can do it, so can Zeus, right? Right?

Apparently I'm terrible at picking a winner :p

Congrats man. The RP was great and in your time here you've been consistently good. Great character also. It's gonna be a great feud against Daggershield. Good luck.

Congrats to Dagger. One of the nicest guys here, with one of the most interesting characters in the fed. Great writer. Easily deserving of the WZCW Title.

Congrats to Live Mas, Tastic and Stormrage. Killjoy is one of the longest and most dedicated members here, he bleeds WZCW blood. If anyone deserves to be a Grand Slam champion, it's you man. Welcome to the club. Yaz congrats on being a 3 time tag champion. You're some one I didn't think at first was going to amount to a whole lot here. You've far exceeded my expectations, as an RPer, and as a member of creative. One of the best here. Keep the WZCW train going.

Congrats to Cerberus. Dynamite and Spider, you've both grown so much as writers. Sucks that your reign finally came to an end, but so did a record, which are meant to be broken. Can't wait to see how you both will do going forward. FalK off the top of my head I can't think of somebody who's had as much success with two characters as you have. Congrats on your victory.

Congrats to Scumm. I know you weren't expecting to win the belt tonight, and it came under unfortunate circumstances, but sometimes great things can come from the unexpected. You never know when a break will come along, so you always should put your best foot forward to get rewarded and tonight you were, way to go.

Congrats to everyone who RPed. I didn't read all of them, in fact I didn't even read most of them, but I know we all put our best effort into it, and without any of us, there wouldn't be a WZCW. Between us and the fine members of creative, we help make WZCW great.

Lastly, farewell to Kermit, one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet online and the hardest working creative member. There's nothing this guy can't do. One can only wonder how great of a RPer and Head of Creative he could've been without all these leaves of absences. Still, he was one of the best ever here and he will be greatly missed.

Wow!

Great stuff, as always. Besides the great showing, I have a lot of ways I can go with this right now...5 eliminations to my credit, and lasting until the final 6 after starting #5.

Most importantly, I know who I'm calling out.

Also, something I missed in my last post. Congrats to creative on a great Lethal Lottery. I can't believe I had two people in the match and not only did I not win, combined I think they were in there for one of the least amount of time :( No worries, happy with their individual performances.

I'd say it has more to do of when you ended up coming out. The spots were randomized and I'll admit to moving 2 or 3 spots for storyline purposes but because both your characters ended up so close to the end, it was hard to give them a longer run and other characters fall to that too.

In Ryder's defense, he was eliminated after someone was thrown at him.

Showtime's time in the match seemed like more of an angle, so if he's sticking around...it was not wasted.
