Oh, don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it, but from what I've heard about it, I expected to be rocked out of my seat. There were a couple of problems I had, most notably the villain was awfully boring and the villain's daughter subplot is too cliche for me personally.
It was a solid movie, and was fun though. The jokes were pretty good also.
Anyone think Star Fox during the dogfight scenes of GOTG?

That's the problem with like all of the Marvel movies. They either have an awesome hero(es) and a boring villain(s) or in Thor's case an awesome villain with a boring hero.

I really wanted them to crack a Star Wars joke out, seeing as Disney own Star Wars too.
To be honest, DC have awesome villains and boring heroes, and Marvel have awesome heroes and boring villains on the whole. There's exceptions, but that's the general rule.

Never had a problem with Thor in the movies. Its Thor. A thickheaded, warrior that literally falls for the same gag over and over. Only way to make him more interesting is to make the same jokes the cartoons do, but you need the Avengers for that.
Yeah, to me Thor 2 was more Disney testing how Star Wars would look more than anything.
Movies just not DCs forte. They should stick to TV and cartoons. And stop cancelling them. Seriously, Agents of Shield can't match Arrow, Flash and the upcoming Gotham shows.
