Remember that Elite X title shot you're due next round?
That's how you got it.

Oh, well yeah. I thought you were talking about a match I won.

My favourite theme is probably Daggershield's.
Err, why did we get the shaft?Let's put aside the fact that the majority of you probably didn't read our RPs, which we submitted before we ever knew our opponents were no-showing.(Edited because I was being an ass) But then we get shafted by having our opponents just not show up? It would have been really nice for us to go into our RPs next round and talk about how we cleanly beat the former #1 tag team contenders. Especially since we are still building our resume as a young team. Instead, we got shafted with a sorry showing and no match. We deserved better.(Again, an ass. I think everything else is fair though.) The characters Haven & Hyada deserved better.
I don't think we got shafted with Foreigners just quitting, I'm just disappointed that this is my... what, 3rd win I think, because either someone no showed or fucked up with their RP. And 4th overall where the outcome was determined because of no showing rather than RP quality.
I'm not knocking creative at all for how they handled it, not in the least, it's just disappointing that these wins are off the back of people leaving.
Everyone is annoyed when they face someone who no shows - it always sucks to take a win like that. It's happened to me, and if you stick around long enough it'll happen to everybody sooner or later. I feel for you guys for it happening to you, and I feel for you for it having happened multiple times.
With regards to how we (I) chose to handle it - and this was a topic discussed on the podcast last night, sort of - in WZCW we must always walk a fine line between telling the story and making sure people get a fair due. My feelings on DF were twofold:
1) They had just gotten a raw deal at Unscripted, and:
2) Matty's no show was less of a personal decision and more because his partner bailed out.
I decided not to job out the team entirely, but I could hardly make it a competitive match. The only other option was to do it as a segment where the match never began. I decided the right thing to do from a character/storyline perspective was for the Foreigners to walk out. There was no good choice to lay them out and eliminate them via injury, nor would it have made sense for YJ to do anything underhanded.
This time, I erred on the side of telling a better story. All of us on creative will make that decision one way or another at some point, and we'll do it many times. Different circumstances will call for different paradigms. As always, we are responsible for doing the best we can with what we have, and I believe that this was the best move given an awkward situation.
EDIT: And, as always, there's no reason this can't be made into a good situation for you. If you're angry, use it to write a great RP.

Tarja was beast.
Was.
Floor Jansen is a much better talent. Not as good as Sharon from Within Temptation though. Now she is bloody amazing.

I see your reasoning. Tarja was beast.

I love Floor. She gets too much shit for not looking like a wisp of a woman. I'm 50/50 on WT, though. Different tastes there.
Does the meticulous marvel M make his majestic debut to modern wrestling next match card?
I really think creative need to utilize more count outs and DQ's to handle those types of situations. Like with Ricky vs El Califa. It let Ricky save momentum and not get pinned, yet Califa still got a "win."
Maybe I should complain about beating Titus by spitting soda in his face.![]()
I'll sit on you if you do.
Frank Mortlock's theme music may just be the sexiest theme ever.
Come on now, then we'd get flooded with rant threads about how you beat him in that squash match.![]()
Maybe some other moment for M and his many miraculous M- words. Okay I'm done with that. Had to get it out of my system.
