WZCW Discussion Thread

Caught up with both shows, both of them excellent. The wrestling itself was really good this round as well.

But Christ I never expected to hold the Elite X title for this long when I won it initially.

It was not mentioned in the credits, but special thanks goes out to Infinity and Theron, for the work they put in for segments, both on Meltdown and Ascension. I've found it a joy working with both RPers (as I always find it a joy to work with Beard).

Thinking of changing up Theron's image of the dice that I start RP's with next round, that one's been in use since around All Stars. If time permits to where I am able to make a few new ones I might post some here and see what you guys think tonight.

This thread has almost 2 million views. That's crazy. After a brief glance at other sections, I cannot even find a thread that has rolled over the 1 million mark.

We be awesome, that's why.

Question to you guys. Been thinking about changing up my writing style and just wondered how do you guys feel about 1st Person narration compared to 3rd Person omniscient/limited? Any feedback on that would be appreciated. I think I might get more out of my RPs if I went 1st person, but I'm unsure yet.

If you go back to old Ramparte (not sure if you saw my comment), I rather like a 1st person villain.

If you continue with how you've been going, stick to 3rd.

I did. It's been hell trying to figure out how to manage my character. Haiku said to try the subtle approach, and with the dark villains having their moment right now, I've tried to be like that. But I don't feel Ramparte, a guy who sold his soul, should be a light character, lol. I'm just not sure where I should place him. You say to do the exact opposite, but I am unsure how that would stack up with his partnership with Flex- a pretty light figure.

Trying to get on the same page with a jock while doing the angels and demons thing is interesting to say the least.

Indeed we are.

I would suggest the third person approach. I've only ever seen one RPer who achieved great success as a first person writer (unless I'm completely forgetting someone else, and I apologize if I am) and that was Gelgarin as Black Dragon.

I say do the exact opposite? o.O

Subtle is good, I like subtle evil, but it seems you're trying to hold onto the evil by tacking on the angels and demons, but the rest of Ramparte no longer follows that mold.

If you want, we can chat about it, especially since I too am in somewhat the same kind of team. Jon is serious (with a bad under current at times) teaming with a very lighthearted partner. I think though I've found the right mesh so far but I'm not getting that pomegranate bath, paying a hooker to torment Morley, List of the Slain is a "lawful" evil quest type Ramparte anymore.

I like to switch perspective between paragraphs, but thats because I like to show what the human characters are thinking and doing from a normal point of view, and not that of a killer robot, since whats the point of writing about a killer robot if the human characters aren't shown to be specifically human to counterbalance that and really show the extremes of S.H.I.T's thinking process every once in a while?

Sometimes it even works.
