No I use 3 and 3.5. Pathfinder is my preferred modern update, I haven't played much of 4.
As for the dumbest thing I have heard from gamers.... Probably people who gasp at how amazing graphics are and want to buy a game based off of some cut-scene and have no clue about what the gameplay will be like. Would you buy "Bob goes to Walmart" with "real life graphics" but all you do is stand in line at the cashier then the game ends when you buy a box of cereal? Give me the original NES Legend of Zelda over that any day.
Paladins can be neutral if they have a neutral deity. An evil Paladin is known as a Dark Knight or a Black Guard. I wouldn't allow Dark Knights or evil characters period as playable, many of my DM's haven't either. The ones that did led to chaotic teams that got nothing done beyond killing each other.
Not if you roll a 1. That's a failed action even if you're a D&D counterpart of Stannis.

A Magus I had for awhile was the slash and burn variety with an awesome ring that let me flash in and out, giving me an additional save to completely avoid any damage. Not to mention I could hit you with two attacks in one turn, one magic and one melee. He was of course Chaotic Evil, he'd step on NPC's heads and splatter their brains all over, but so crazy that he'd just randomly save a child from a zombie and get him to safety to later sell the boy into slavery to make money for new equipment. My brother in law's character was of course a paladin, but because I saved him with a perfectly executed combo when he was getting thrashed one time, his Paladin owes my character big time. The argument is great as everyone is somewhat neutral, so we get to be the catalysts of the polar opposites morally. However, because our characters work great with his Paladin tanking like it should while I lead the offensive assault, the party dominates whenever I'm actually around to sit in with them.

You don't have to play D&D to know where he'd stand. You know him better than anyone else since you write his RP's. There's captions in each of the squares on the chart. Whichever one sounds most like Ramparte to you, that's the one he is.

Alright, Z-Soldiers. In honor of WWE's ********ed, self-serving attitude, all shows this round are now being replaced with pictures of Harthan and Yazloz fighting each other with My Little Pony plush toys. Aftershock will be headlined by Pancake wrestling a giant Pedobear plush. Commentary will be done by me and Haiku as we just talk on about Pokemon music and Mark Hamill.
