You can't just drop that on us without elaborating... What shit?

Rios not RPing ever and still being constantly booked to win is a start. Late shows with lazy writing too. I was on creative when the fed was first conceived and we gave it a good effort, but Prax was shitcanned, Ace didn't do anything, neither did Jonny, Spiral stopped caring, and so did I. After that Enforcer took over and it was pretty bad.

Do you recall who else has been on creative up until Lee's team? Who were the fed heads up until him? I don't know much about the early years of this section at all.

I will say one thing and I will let you fill in the rest:

Joseph Rios, as World Heavyweight Champion, did not RP for a World Title match, and retained the title.

There you go. If you want more as a show of good faith or whatever the fuck, decided to drop the title to Disasterpiece only to regain the title back on the same show. What that managed to accomplish I have no idea. The only good thing Rios ever did was drop the title to Big Will as that was actually a big good feel moment.

Thankfully that lead to the cleaning house and getting shit in order era as Lee took over as Everest took the title for the first time and we had a more legitimate WZCW take shape. Once Lee got shit going they added in some of the more "legendary" if you will Creative members Dave, Phoenix, myself, Blade, Showtime, so on and so on where WZCW got built up immensely, adding on Ascesnion and eventually Aftershock.

Aftershock was a necessary need at the time. Booking MD and AS at the time and trying to fit everyone on the shows without having 8-10 match shows involved a lot of multi man and tag matches, and we were lucky to maybe have 1 or 2 singles matches. At the time I was HoC and said we needed to fix this as we had new guys lost in the shuffle and no one ever had an opportunity to really shine individually. I wanted a show where the lower card could have their opportunity to shine, and thus Aftershock was born. All I wanted it for was to give the lower card their own show, and could be dropped if the roster ever fell enough to the point that it would stretch things too thin. Once I stepped away after awhile Aftershock became just as important as MD and AS. That was taking Aftershock and using it far better than what I had envisioned for it.

The first team was Big Ace and Spiral. Prax and I were brought in later, and Jonny unofficially oversaw everything. But the thing was at the beginning like 80% of everyone in the fed was a mod, and there were 4 G-mods [me, Prax, Spiral, and AJ] who had access to the creative board room regardless. That was the only reason why I joined creative. It was a clusterfuck with lots of communication issues.

In an attempt to get WZCW going, a lot of the Creative team initially consisted of Staff members back then. Many had no interest in the fed and at one point the admins threatened to shut down WZCW if it didn't get it's shit together. That's when Lee was allowed to come back from his banning and was given full reign to bring WZCW back around. Lee (and Harthan as Harthan ran WZCW as temp HoC while Lee ran the VG tourney) brought in some stellar choices for Creative and totally revamped everything. Once the team got started we only got better. Most matches when I started lasted a paragraph at best, one of my longer RP's was longer than an entire show of MD. Hell my very first match in WZCW was this:

Ty Burna defeated USA by Submission with the Final Seance.

Look up MD 26, I'm not joking.

Now look at the previous Lethal Lottery. My third of the match was around 6000 words long. Combined with the other parts we surpassed 10,000 words easily for a single match.

And there were many issues in the beginning that were never addressed that snowballed into some heavy shit. Melon Farmer being a massive twat, Will supposedly received threats from someone that hacked his email and got his address, DC was thrown in prison as were several others, Prax had his legendary banning as did Big Ace. Ironic that it would be a former banned member that would save the fed.

Sounds like a mess. This place is awesome now. Also I did not know Spiral was a G-Mod. Do today's G-Mods still have access to the creative room? I know KB and Sly do for obvious reasons.

Spiral was made G-Mod right before I was. Moon Knight was already one. As for them being able to see the room now I have no idea. But you could simply ask either JMT or Brain. More than likely the answer is no.

I believe so yes. They did when I was still on Creative and that actually did lead to disagreements with Lee and Creative when he stepped down as HoC as we were trying to put our spin on things and since Lee was a a G-Mod at the time, he still had access to the room and everything we were doing. It actually strained a lot of friendships/relationships at the time. I'm trying to be as unbiased as I can in saying all this too, I don't want to unearth old graves and shit that happened years ago but we eventually all came to an agreement that Lee would not look in the Creative Room, or at the very least not post in there and let us do our thing.

I was demodded in late 2008, and that was almost a full year after I had left the fed. I still had access to the room and would drop in to read all the juicy stuff. Most of which isn't there anymore.

Makes sense. They'd only need to come in there to moderate unless they were on creative themselves, and things like that are why I figured the admins have automatic access to step in if there's arguments. I don't want you to divulge creative room "secrets" so I can drop this if we are entering that territory. Thanks for the history and trivia. :)

I knew about Moon Knight. We had 6 at one point, that's probably the most there have ever been.

That's sounds right. lets see: Me, Spiral, Ace, Prax, DIAC [MK], and AJ. Prax and Ace were removed and I think either CM or Norcal was appointed. Sam replaced me, and Becca and Xfear didn't get the rank until later if I recall. I can't remember if Tdigle was ever a G-Mod or not.

Looks like that record was set twice then. KB, Sam, X, Becca, Lee, and CM were the G-Mod team I was thinking of. By the time NorCal got G-Mod the second time around they had all left other than X. NorCal, D-Man, JMT, and X who Brain replaced was the resulting team after all the step down's. Tdigle was over Movies before it became The Media Hub. He wasn't a G-Mod that I can recall.

And the three G-mods that we have now have been around forever. At least 3 years for D-Man, and 2 for both Brain and JMT. Been waiting for a new one to be appointed.

Yeah there haven't been very many step down's recently. They were dropping like flies up until fall of 2012. I've been on 2 years myself yet there are only 4 current staff members I've been on longer than. Killjoy came on last fall, LSN and Harthan returned this fall (both of which I have been on longer than even if you combine either of their past and present reigns), and Yaz is the newest. D-Man and Tasty are coming up on 4 years. Sly has been on longer than my forum account has existed, KB is not far behind him.

If only to see what they're saying about our characters, eh? ;)

If it saves you some curiosity, it was never anything positive about anyone. Just a ********** over a character here and there.

He was still around a year ago but I'm assuming he ultimately left due to irreconcilable differences with creative which likely lead to a decrease in interest in the fed overall. We spoke a few times and he was always heated, but grateful to those that took the time to appreciate his character.

I wouldn't say Ricky and us have irreconcilable differences. Not to give anything away but I think if schedules aligned Ricky could/would come back.

The G-mods definitely do but none of the current ones appear interested at all, so no big deal. I'm reasonably sure KB reads everything back there as he will occasionally chime in. For example, I was going to wait to PM him about creative changes until we had a new one in place and I said as much, then he did it anyway (thanks again KB).

You don't want to know ;).

I don't really think it would be very bad at all for most people to discover what we've said about them...although we very often post our thoughts on RP's beyond just votes, so perhaps if you've written an RP someone didn't like they might have trashed it a bit. Just imagine what your friends say about you when you're not in the room (assuming they're good friends). Some criticism might come out but it's not bad...usually...

All the reminiscing has me thinking - am I the only person to be head of creative twice? Even if it is only technically so, as I was interim HoC the first go-round.

And now you just competed in King For A Day. Bet none of them creative bastards saw that one coming!

That was awesome. I had a feeling I'd be the first one out, but to have a match with world title tier names was worth it. The loss actually helped me come up with an idea for my next RP.

Well, the discussion in here wasn't bad, either...

No kidding. Funny thing is, my initial "I'm considering joining, stay tuned...." post with the ominous Chrono Trigger music was 100% testing the waters. Then I saw a few posters saying they were interested in what I might bring to the table here, and that's when I knew it was time to really give it a shot. Haiku gave me great feedback on my first RP and the rest is history. :) Although I also must give credit to Killjoy, FunKay, and FalKon who gave me feedback up in the Board Room when I shared the original blueprint for what Theron was going to be like before I actually applied.

You've developed massively as a writer since your early RPs and I would say that from the Class of 2013 you and Zeus are Most Likely to Succeed. Considering that the Class of 2012 you have Myself, Stormrage, Vega and Triple X all hovering around the upper-level titles now you guys are in fine shape in the next few cycles.
