WZCW Discussion Thread

It's getting there.

Just watched last night's Raw. Jesus Christ, I can't stand JBL anymore. All he does is try to verbally castrate Michael Cole. It's awful.

Michael Cole: "A scientist told me that water is wet, John."

JBL: "Oh, a scientist told you that!? Water isn't wet, it's just not dry! Flying goat! Why don't you ask him!? Mexico's greatest export!"

The whole commentary team is garbage now. Watching NXT is a dream with Byron Saxton, Alex Riley, and William Regal commentating. It's a breath of fresh air and Regal is of course awesome. Especially when Aiden English makes appearance.

I look forward way more to NXT every week then I do Raw anymore.

I'm heartbroken that the show isn't up yet. I was so eager to read the results after work... what the hell!? Unacceptable!!!

Let me insert an emoticon so people don't think I'm being serious. :p

I think Inf is right. You write your RP's well (good example is the one against Joey Sexton, paedophile comparisons aside), but you make them far too short and make it so nobody cares about Corvus.

I really like the character and you are a good RP'er, so that's the essentials out of the way. You just need to focus on making longer RP's and to tell a story better, rather than just saying "I face so and so this week". Whatever happened to Corvus stalking the guy who killed his parents for example?

You're an underrated writer imo, you just need get the other stuff down on the paper to start racking in the wins.

This 100 times, Meeks. You know I've given you personal feedback on your RPs, mostly your early ones... and damn is there something awesome there, but these last couple of RPs you've churned out have honestly left me very disappointed you. I have no problem telling you that Dags carried Corvus to his biggest victory... but I think you're disillusioning yourself if you believe the rest of the fed is going to hold Corvus in as high regard with said victory as they are Dags.

Kayfabe and in real life that victory did loads for Daggershield... for you? Not so much. Layfabe the announcers might make mention of the victory but it won't jolt Corvus up the rankings, that for sure... and in real life? You impressed us exponentially more with your debut RP and the couple after that before your "injury" than with the last 2 or so you've put up. I hope this comes off more as tough love than it does me just trying to shit on you... but put it this way, I wouldn't be telling you this if I didn't know you were capable of doing ridiculously better.

Feel free to PM me like you did in the past if you wanna flesh out any ideas or something... but do something to give us the Corvus we thought we were getting when you first started. Fallout is right, you did a lot more in connecting your opponents with Corvus' mission in lfie in the past than you do now... and the side story you seem to have dropped also helped a lot in terms of character development. The more you develop the character of Corvus, the better for your career. If not... then you run the risk of just being a knock off of "The Crow."

Me either. And on the dice thing, two twenties is a legit critical hit. You roll the first two see if you hit or miss depending on the victim's defense. Most weapons crit on 19 or 20. Theron in character has one that crits at 18, 19, or 20. You then roll again to see if it's a regular hit or a true critical if you had a 19/20 which is called a crit threat. You only have to beat the enemy's defense stat after the 20 to hit a true critical so two 20's by some DM's is a one shot kill if you are a powerful enough character. Unless you're facing a dragon or some type of enemy immune to such a thing. That's the simpler version of how it works lol the segment was very well written. ;)

wtf did you just say?

On sort of a sidenote... if I could handpick somebody to be Mayhem Champion (although in a couple of hours that title won't exist anymore) it'd be Theron Daggershield. I think it would be the most fun thing to see Theron in Mayhem matches with his sword and shield... plus it'd also be fun to see Theron Daggershield & Fallout in some Mayhem matches.

Lol.... That was an explanation of how accurate the two 20's Theron rolled in the segment was. With some in-game mechanics thrown in. :p

Theron busting out his equipment for use in a match could be fun. He has yet to bonk an opponent on the head Jeff Jarrett style with one of his many prop swords. Looking forward to the angle with Fallout, I think he will be a good villain to bring out the best in Theron. I did some brainstorming during my break at work and have an idea or two already. :)

Before I go to bed, I wanted to second Infinity's thoughts, and just say, Dagger is everything right in the fed. So keep it up brother... Zeus is angling to get his win back some day.

Maybe someday.... I will say this man, Davkas was my favorite opponent counterpart to write so far. He was also the most challenging, with all the dang rhymes. ;)

So my initial estimate was bad. Expect the show later.

When? I don't know! Get off my lawn!

You'll get it when it's good and ready. Go play with your Nintendo, or whatever it is you kids do these days.

I get it!

I'm not really keen on "letting my nerd show", but I get it. Plus I got Savage World on my brain right now.

This show is going to be late and it's all my fault. I have a bunch of good reasons for why I wasn't able to do any work until today, and I have a good reason why I'm just starting to write my second match now, but I'm not going to bore you with details about my personal life.

Seriously though, sorry ya'll. If the show isn't up until tomorrow, you know who to send the hate mail and death threats to.

Loved it. The show was the nun's nipples. Memoirs were my 2nd favourite parts, next to "somebody" getting a run-in on the last show. Matches themselves were fantastic, the ending was right, just iffy on the early two-counts, but that's nitpicking.

Beard and Stormrage have been in four matches together now and not once have I been disappointed with the brutality. Also never disappointed with undefeated record in those matches :p

Theo and I need to team up the two, call them Team Super Beards.

I especially liked how Ricky Runn was essentially holding the fire in his hands.

Good set of shows - I'll do a review for them in the next 24 hours.

Aye great work guys, really enjoyable read from top to bottom. Congrats to Vega and SHIT on their title defenses.

I've already sent Lee a PM but I think this warrants being said publicly... I just wanted everyone in the fed to know how much I truly appreciate what Lee has done for me with this fed. I want to thank him not just for being a pleasure to work with throughout this feud, but for taking the feud in the first place. Way back when me & JGlass were talking about possible feuds for Vega, he threw out the notion of me facing Titus and I just thought it was a pipe dream. I thought there was no way a legend like Lee would want to go from working with Kermit to working with me. JGlass asked him via PM and almost immediately Lee said he was in... and I was floored. Humbled, even.

From that point on, it was pretty much gangbusters. Our feud started off merged with the Showtime/Barbosa feud and then branched off into it's own monster of Good vs Evil... and I think we did a pretty damn good job building it up. I feel in a lot of wrestlers' careers (in real life) the stars can attribute their careers to one opponents "making" then in a sense. I've heard people say John Cena was made by Kurt Angle, Stone Cold was made by Bret Hart, Hulk Hogan by Andre, etc. Now, I'm not calling Vega the next Cena, Austin, or Hogan... but I do truly believe that any major success I have in WZCW from here on out is going to be mostly due to Lee. Him agreeing to do this program with me, IMO, put Vega on the map. It made people realize he's one of the names to really look out for. During our feud, I've gone from hotshot midcarder to becoming perhaps the #2 or 3 heel in the company. I have no hesitation in saying that Titus/Red Mask made Vega... so thank you Lee. Truly.

With that said, onto the show. Obviously I'm ecstatic about winning and being the final champion... but the rest of the show deserves so much accolades as well. I was hoping too see an homage to the history of the title so I'm very happy with all the former Mayhem champions talking about what the title and the division meant to them. Baez returning was pretty cool. I wasn't around for KJ's rnu as Baez but I had heard about KJ's character history in one of the Podcast episodes so I knew what was going on. Part of me feels a little like KJ turning back into Baez to take on SHIT is a little too similar to Titus turning back into Red Mask to take on Vega... but perhaps you two will go a slightly different route. Really glad to see Bowen participate in the show in some form, even if it was to further this feud. Thought it was done well... and honestly, the focus should be more on the current wrestlers/feuds to help build the future... so I liked this segment a lot. Tipping our caps to the past while building the current feud. Well done.

I thought the reveal of the poster was absolutely hilarious, and I don't know if it was done on purpose... but you've got all these synonyms for the end of the world, and then ::boom:: a picture of Ricky Runn on a PPV poster with his stupid smile. It's like saying... the world must be ending because Ricky freaking Runn is the focus of a PPV poster. Hilarious, and perfect.

Great little match between Stormrage and Beard that should not go unnoticed. Big win for Yaz there. Coupled with a big win for Shotaro earlier this week and both of you are picking up some steam headed into Apocalypse.

Triple X coming in and taking out Blade... again... was... just okay. I think part of me just felt a little exasperated at this point... if I'm not mistaken, I believe Triple X may be the only person to have been present at all three shows this week. I thought it was a little much for such a new feud that is obviously going to have plenty of time to play out... but the segment was well done regardless. Triple X came off very heelish... and in one round his character has been progressed a lot. Maybe that's the reason he was given so much "air time" this week.

If you ask me... it's the Barbosa/Runn feud that should be encompassing multiple shows a round. That program needs some momentum, and fast. The notion of Ricky Runn challenging for the title is more exciting to me than the actual build up for the match thus far. Hopefully that changes in the next and last round before the PPV.

Well done by creative on an overall great show.

What a show! Congrats to our final Mayhem Champion, and great job this round by creative.

I can't wait for the PPV now! And the next RP round too. :)

I can honestly say, man alive, Vega and Titus could (and should) stake a claim for feud of the year... Interestingly enough, aside from my own, my favorite feuds have involved Titus. But I found myself enjoying Titus/Vega, more than I did Titus/KO, because to me, Vega personified that pure evil more than KO. And that's a testament to Vega, and to really everyone that put this feud together... I personally feel this is Jglass' crown jewel in the fed (which means it's all downhill from here :lmao:)

One has to wonder where Vega goes next... The next logical person would be Barbosa, and it would make a lot of sense. But does he go on to SHIT? The lust for gold, where he almost feels naked without a belt? James Howard?

And what of Titus?
