WZCW Discussion Thread

When I want factual analysis from an idiot I'll be sure to let you know.

It was clear to me that you would lose and I said that when the match was announced. They had a far superior team than you did. It was not that difficult to figure out that your team was losing at Kingdom Come. You came out after the match saying that you knew all along but I don't believe that. I think you really thought you had a chance to win even after all the signs were pointing in the other direction.

Did you really think that Team Strikeforce was going to win at Kingdom Come? I love cheering on the people who battle Numbers but even I was not that blind.

EDIT: Sacrificial Altar (5) vs. Team Strikeforce (1)

You should be happy with the one vote you got. Creative are truly nice guys.

In all truth I firmly believe in DC and Slice, I think they're two of the best here and haven't even hit their stride yet. I know GM and TSA is holding them back but I think we have a story to tell. I just need to do better.

I've made the decision to end my run with GM soon anyway. I've got a completely different character in my mind. Comedy and everything, I'm not a funny guy so that should be hilarious to see me crash and burn with that.

You are arguing with a 17 yr old(on the internet no less) whose idol is a man with testosterone issues who best attribute is his shit talking, despite frequently choking in big spots, being suspended for illegal drugs, and on top of that he has plead guilty to money laundry and mortgage fraud.

As much as I hate to say it, you are the one being an idiot right now.

Before I get blamed for this I would like to point out that the discussion was about how I disagreed with this post.

In all fairness if Meek's RP was hampered by the fact that he was moving house and he produced something akin to his Corvus RP that would likely not be the case. No offence to Numbers intended or implied.

To believe that Team Strikeforce would have been the favourites to win the match is crazy. STA was superior by a mile and that's all I was saying.

I had written a response to JJJ but I can't be arsed to post it. It drags in too many people and would be as destructive as any of the 'shoots' we've seen and it benefits no-one.

I'm pissed at the circumstances around Kingdom Come for many, many reasons but publicly is not the place to vent it and it won't change a fucking thing.

Also Chael Sonnen is the worst thing to happen to MMA full stop. If he could fight he'd be MMA's Ali, but he can't so he just looks like a loud-mouthed chuckle-fuck.

After four straight years being in WZCW (three of which were spent being a creative member), I've never seen drama occur in this section. The admins would be shocked to find out.

Good thing I have already booked the break up of TSA then.

A split in TSA could make for some very interesting stuff so long as it was a pseudo-religious schism rather than just a break up.

Whitman and DC attempting to take control of the group but not wanting to usurp GM's position as leader, which they see as his by right. Instead, they only want to attain more say in the direction of the faction, perhaps by removing Westhoff rather than GM.

Of course, it would likely not end well.

I always have to chuckle at people complaining about unexpected results in their matches.

Such unplanned diversions are the perfect way to add something new and different to your RPs, especially when we have so many people commenting on not knowing where to go with their characters. Having an entire cycle planned out to the letter usually means it ends up somewhat boring and one-dimensional. Throw a spanner or two into the works and you, your opponent or Creative can use it to make things more unpredictable and multi-dimensional.

Kingdom Come is all that matters and they failed.

Just because you say something doesn't make it true.

I disagree.

Well then you're wrong, or likely wrong anyway. There's no doubt that team TSA dropped some great RPs for that match, but more than a few creative members stated that had it not been for the grade A stinker that meeks dropped (he might as well have no showed), Strikeforce might have just edged out TSA. Howard had one of the best RPs of that round, and he certainly had the best one in that match.

That works for everyone.

None of that is anything other than speculation. In the end it was STA that won the match and they won it with only one vote going against them.

If Strikeforce was the better team they should have won. They didn't though so I have a hard time calling them the better team. We had the chance to see who was the best and STA came out with the victory. They won and I don't see any reason to try and take that victory from them.

Howard had one of the best RPs of that round, and he certainly had the best one in that match.

I said that before the RPs went up. Howard was always going to drop an amazing RP for that match.

The thing about losses is that for every victory there has to be at least one defeat and even more in multiple matches.

As soon as I saw I was up against Yaz, I knew I was going to lose, but Grizzly was still made to look rather strong AND it was a big man match with some nice spots.

Losing can be frustrating, but with a story arc, it doesn't matter.

Also, how exactly does trash-talking work in MMA? If you lose after running your mouth, SURELY you must look like a right ********.

The rules are what usually gets poor Chael Sonnen in trouble. He didn't know if you tapped it ended the entire fight. He thought it only ended the round which is fair enough considering he was winning for 23 minutes of the fight. We then found out that if you tapped then you lose the fight.

Then he tripped over and was hit with a knee. Plus Silva was holding his shorts and that's cheating.

Jones broke his toe and the fight should have been stopped. The ref was clearly not watching the fight because Chael looked ready to attack like a tiger.

He beat Shogun! Fourth title shot coming soon.

EDIT: Chael Sonnen does not trash talk his opponents though.

Yes. Chael Sonnen does indeed look like a right ******** a lot of the time.

Personally, I find it difficult to put true stock in the margin of Creative votes when it comes to how close a match was or the standard that was achieved between the RPers for reducing your thoughts on a match of RPs to "this one should win" takes away important dimensions and puts every match on an even keel. That 51/49 decision between two ridiculously close RPs can easily end up with the same vote score as the most one sided squash/no show.

In such circumstances, the decisiveness of victories should come more from the actual standard of the RPs rather than the gap in votes. That was why when I was on Creative, most voters would give a brief summary of their thoughts on the match, especially when it was extremely close.

No one can tell me that Ech's Kingdom Come RP was deserving of a 6-1 defeat purely in terms of standard and Creative definitely seem to have understood that. For all we know, three of Creative members were forced into a mental coin flip between the two and that ended up being the difference. That closeness was then reflected in the match as Barbosa did not give Celeste the decisive beating that the vote score suggested. Instead, Harthan wrote a hard-hitting, close run thing that Barbosa only just came out on top of.

You should at least make the next round.

EDIT: When you beat DC and I beat Thriller in the next round we can claim victory over TSA.

:lmao:

It's really not that impressive a feat. Saxton and Saboteur has done it, Technosa has done it, I'm pretty sure Bearded Gents did it. Hell, even Strikeforce won a couple of matches against TSA.

Thanks, buddy

I feel like it makes your next RP more fun to write, too. If everything goes the way you expect it to, RPing round to round can quickly become really dull.
