I don't write very long RPs -- I'd say I'm about average -- but I prefer to make the RP as concise as possible, really. The longer it runs, the more unnecessary padding it has in it. If you can cut a 2500 word RP down to 1500 words, you'll find it generally has a much stronger effect on the reader. Well, at least that's how I view it as a reader/writer.
Yo!
I participated in WZCW for a hot minute back in early 2009. This was me: http://forums.wrestlezone.com/showthread.php?t=12756
If I were to join again, can I just make a brand new application? I'd rather do that because since then the character I use has grown leaps in bounds since this. TheRealDC can vouch for me.

Get the fuck out of town... Dc who else are you gonna bring back. That's it... ecw style invasion. Mwe vs wzcw
Then consider me Vincent Kennedy McMahon and job all the MWE stars... except their Rob Van Dam equivalent. Y'all got a RVD over there I can push to the moon?

It depends on the situation. If you're in a 6 man tag throwaway match where the story doesn't have to be real deep then 1500 words would likely accomplish that, but 1500 words isn't even close to tell the really intricate, detailed story lines that the majority of us should have to at KC.
For example if I were a member of the SA I'd have my teammates, my leader's message, Celeste's take on all the situation and match itself, my opponents, and the one opponent from the other side that I hated the most/my biggest rival. Devoting just 500 words of dialogue to each of those categories to develop everything, would be 2500+ words right there. That's not including the transitions, side descriptions, and narrations. It would likely be 3000-3500 words by the time I was done.

I'm trying to finish this damn RP but that wonderful Benoit thread keeps distracting me.
Actual word count does not matter... however it's hard to tell a decent story in 1000 words. None of us have the proficiency, nor the actual talent to do that. 2000 to 2500 is usually ideal. Anything over 3500 could be potentially clusterfuckish.
Or you know we give them the TNA treatment and not acknowledge them. This is KC rp day. Hype hype hype!
Vance Bateman is on the phone booking an arena for Redemption.
"Yes, I'd like to book Madison Square Garden for WZCW Redemption, please"
"I'm sorry sir, that arena has already been booked out for a wrestling event."
"I never organised a house show at the Garden!"
"No sir, its for MW..."
"Meltdown? DAMMIT DAVE, you rotten bastard!"
Bateman furiously shakes his fist at the air.
