WZCW Discussion Thread

Vengeance needs to return.

If he were to ever return Ty's knee is making a miraculous recovery and I'm coming back immediately.

I tried to do it actually, but it started taking me as long as it takes me to get through a Harthan World Title RP.

Someone should try to establish a correlation between winning percentage and average word count.
Out of curiosity, has Drake won the big one before?

In fact, who was champ before Showtime?

Bitchin' A, Lee! I was under the impression that the title restoration project was still underway. Now I can spend a good half hour checking it out.

It is but the titles are all mostly up to date, I think Eurasian isn't.

Actual word count does not matter... however it's hard to tell a decent story in 1000 words. None of us have the proficiency, nor the actual talent to do that. 2000 to 2500 is usually ideal. Anything over 3500 could be potentially clusterfuckish.

I don't know how many people from the WZCW old days made the jump over to your fed. Ben Legend? Arch Angel? Joseph Rios? El Guerrero?

We managed to pluck Eric Derf off WZCW. Prax jumped from here, Cannon I believe jumped. Basically anyone that followed Prax out to form WAR eventually wound up with us in MWE, when we did an all out fed vs fed. Epic level efedding moment there. Like I said when I mentioned I still keep in contact with people, just talking about it gets people happy again...

I won't make a liar out of myself and say I sing your guys praises. Because I haven't been here that long and only recently found myself in the wrong end of a potentially infuriating situation (which is the cause of delay for my RP. I got discouraged). I do like this place and like everyone here and the help and the feedback, it feels like old times. It doesn't mean much cause its just efedding, but you guys prove your worth. Staff keep up the good work. Members, keep this place lively. And these familiar faces may drop in and create some new memories.

I <3 my MWE crew. And I believe they'd all be open to coming here. Returns and/or debuts may not stop. But I won't guarantee they will keep happening.

Now... I gotta try to make deadline...

I think 2,000-3,000 words is probably about where the average will fall. I know some folks (including myself) have written much longer RPs and won and guys like thriller have written much shorter RPs and won. Incidentally I'm tidying my RP now, should hopefully be posted in the next hour or so.

More people, more fun! Maybe there will end up being another show...on Wednesday?!

Not that many people *that I talk to* would join up. But ya never know. (EDIT: So it didn't sound like a bashing against this place. Some peeps I know just don't have the time.)

Also, ech, I forgot to mention. There was a point in time when I issued a challenge Enforcer to bring Joeseph Rios in to MWE to face off against DC in cross fed battle. There was gonna be tag matches and the whole nine yards. It actually looked like it could happen, but he backed out. I hated to hear what the then creative were doing by letting Rios retain title matches without even RPing. I was kinda hot headed about it back then. Aside from that one time offer... I wouldn't have EVER let Rios join. If he did ever come back, I'm calling first dibs right now lol.

Yo!

I participated in WZCW for a hot minute back in early 2009. This was me: http://forums.wrestlezone.com/showthread.php?t=12756

If I were to join again, can I just make a brand new application? I'd rather do that because since then the character I use has grown leaps in bounds since this. TheRealDC can vouch for me.

Sure - just post the app in the application thread when ready but the earliest we can get a match for you will be around 2 weeks from now. Plenty of time.

I don't write very long RPs -- I'd say I'm about average -- but I prefer to make the RP as concise as possible, really. The longer it runs, the more unnecessary padding it has in it. If you can cut a 2500 word RP down to 1500 words, you'll find it generally has a much stronger effect on the reader. Well, at least that's how I view it as a reader/writer.
