WZCW Discussion Thread

Yeah... in hindsight, that was pretty bad. I should have never wrote that segment. At the time, there was logic but now... no idea why it happened.

Real name: Terry Wogan
Gimmick name: "The Bulk" Wogan
Gimmick: Big, blonde, wholesome face
Sample pic:

2 Characteristics of gimmick: Feeds off the power of the crowd.
Tells the kids to eat their vitamins and to stay in school.
Finisher: Leg drop
Signature moves: Finger point, "Bulk-up" - Wogan will start no-selling offence, feeding off the crowd's energy.

That's my application for All-Stars finished, then ;)

Fun fact: Sam Smith was actually the one who unmasked Scumm. I still remember reading that match and not being entirely sure how/if it made any sense at all -- but hey, it was memorable.

Thrash is a shadow of what Johnny Scumm was. Everybody knows that Johnny Scumm was Black Dragon! Or a Black Dragon. Or something.

That was one of things that caused Gelg to leave wasn't it? Who thought of that?

Gelgarin did. No, really, he wanted a rookie/newbie & contacted me about it.

I think it would've been better if it wasn't in the time of my family problems.

I didn't know Johnny had a mask, because I remember seeing a rep for that guy it looked like what I imagine Johnny Rotten looked like way back.

Oh, yeah, like Ty Burna did recently. Man, LL V was cool! And if that's not even our Wrestlemania... damn!

It would probably be fairer to say that I took my ball and went home because I found Numbers to be difficult to work with - the Black Dragon/Johnny Scumm was just the entertainment unit that broke the camel's back.

I have no earthly idea where the army of Black Dragons came from; basically every creative member I've spoken to has said that they thought it was idiotic, but didn't see the segment until it was too late. As I've said every time I bitch about the angle, Dragon was a socially stunted loaner, probably incapable of asking his next door neighbor for a cup of sugar - so the idea that he was suddenly coordinating a small army, without me writing about it, made absolutely no sense.

Feeling the need to explain it to my own satisfaction; I pinched Johnny Scumm - who was absent from the fed at the time - as a character and started using him (with permission) for my own means. I told creative just so that they wouldn't inadvertently fuck my new continuity up, but made it pretty clear that I didn't want Johnny Scumm within fifty feet of my character.

Scumm's first match back he was made my tag partner (24 hours before a deadline which didn't help) and I was unhappy about it. A compromise was reached with Numbers where it was agreed that Scumm would team with me, but would keep his mask on the entire match and his identity secret from the rest of the fed. The show went up and Scumm was unmarked despite what we'd agreed earlier, at which point I elected to throw the biggest, most slow motion sulk of all time.

I stuck around to put Rush over, then moved to Russia as an excuse not to participate any more.

So yeah; the angle is what did it, but Johnny Scumm himself had absolutely nothing to do with it. I can't remember any other undercard guys, but it's have been exactly the same if it'd been one of them instead.

I'd have thought it'd be cool as fuck to have your own army of clones. It'd be a like a stable, but even better for the ego...

Also, Creative, may I have a guesstimate as to when the show will go up? Not trying to be a dick, I'm being 100% sincere, seeing as I still owe James and Ryder feedback. Will I be able to squeeze it in before the show? I mean, I wasn't expecting it until in about 20 hours (roughly making it Monday night US time), but I don't know if feedback is as useful after the show is up... :)

At least you guys have won a title or two. I haven't won any titles; that puts me on the same level accomplishment wise as Darren Bull. How do you think that makes me feel?

It also puts you on the same level of accomplishment as S.H.I.T, who has had an unbroken 2 years or something here now. Feel better or worse? That acronym really doesn't help either does it?

Those were extremely bias times against everyone's favorite alien, it was a match I never should of lost. A match I'll never lose again....

Anyway I beat Kurtesy who beat Ty who beat Celeste who beat Drake who beat Showtime who beat Constantine who beat SHIT. So by the transitive property when SHIT wins the belt at KC I deserve my rightful shot.

Bring it little green dude! But if I am in an Elite X Title match I wouldn't look past Constantine retaining again. Dave's better at title matches than I am.

Lulz, if that's what you want. Though maybe you should face El Califa first. You go through El Califa, I'll give you a shot at Ty. Just to make sure you really want that match with him.

Oh and just for the record, El Califa's beaten 2/3's of the KC Main Event as well.

Pissing contest. S.H.I.T once got "switched off" by Jack Skinner...

Yeah my peeps are not as impressive as scumm. But how many of you guys say you beat hades!? Or Armando paradyse?

Or Daemonic?

I'd say winning that fatal four way submission match against El Califa, Holmes and Cooper ranks as like, my highest point as in singles matches, I think that match also helped legitimise the ISV. The count out draw with Black Dragon was pretty impressive considering how well Gelgarin was doing at the time as well. Celeste at Redemption and the 5 vs 5 KC rank as some of my better showings. That and getting switched off by Jack Skinner, finest moment ever.

Since I also enjoy the whole he beat him thing; El Califa had just beat Drake Callahan, Holmes had just beat K.O to become No. 1 contender and Cooper (lest we forget, because he just might let us) beat Constantine and K.O in the same night. So I deserve a lineal title shot, a world title shot or a shot at Ty Burna. It's only fair after all.

Some people are just more reluctant and difficult to deal with than others. I would agree the situation was terribly handled on both sides. Though I would say that Rush being put over is a generous way of putting it. We gave the Black Dragon a way better send off than he deserved.

I thought Rush beat him up and pinned him?

Everybody wants a shot at my lineal championship.

It's a prestigious title with a rich history.

Most people don't know that the title I hold was once held by MMA legend Fedor Emelianenko. Turns out that Cooper tapped him in practice and was rewarded with a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt. Of course Cooper has lost the title at certain points of his career but he was able to win it for a record 4th time by beating up an Australian footballer named Paul Gallen.

Title defences are open for negotiation.

Rush should have destroyed him.

I disagree from a purely kayfabe point of view. Sure, butchering a long-standing mid card champion would have made Rush look dominant but what exactly would it have said about the rest of roster who could not beat Black Dragon? It makes them look like shit.

No, a competitive feud was the way to go, even if the RP votes did not reflect that because in the end more people win. Rush still gets his victory, albeit hard fought, while those who failed to unseat Dragon are not made to look useless.

When possible, a decent storyline that can benefit more people should not be sacrificed.
