Now that we love each other (and Blade's mum) again. Any update on the Lottery?

Probably will go to sleep in an under an hour, I take it it isn't worth me bothering to stay awake to wait? Not hurrying or you guys or anything, just making sure is all.

Nah fuck it, sleep it is.

Is it true that one of the fed girls is actually a girl and that she's like 16 or something? I should start to watch my language...

I believe we have two of the four regular matches done, and 1/3 of the Lottery done, pending how everyone else was doing last night and today. Harthan was working on his match last I spoke to him.

Sure... if Constantine's is Goldberg. Nah, it's Kaitlyn.

Did it used to be Beth Phoenix?

It's funny too, Goldberg was my first character (Karnage's) rep.

Great stuff. Tomorrow is looking likely then.

It's a big ass PPV for a half dozen people to write. I said Monday that I wouldn't be surprised if it were pushed back to Thursday.

I'm working on my match, I'm taking a break for dinner then I'm gonna finish it.

I was outside, having a smoke just now and I'm thinking: "The Lethal Lottery match must be one moerse bitch to write!"

With written work, you can't have more than four guys in the ring at any one time, because it'd degenerate into a clusterfuck. Maybe five, if one of them is taking a breather or recovering silently in the corner for a good five minutes...

That'd mean that the pace of the match would slow considerably, because you can't have six guys in the ring just picking their noses while two others slug it out. You have to describe every wrestler's progress and with a smallish brawl insde the ring, it would be a very long match anyway.

Anybody from creative want to weigh-in on this?

This is my first PPV as a member of creative, and my dumbass picked the middle part of the Lottery. I wouldn't call it hard per say, but it is more difficult than other matches I have written. I'm trying to write it like the actual RR each year. There are people who deserve a good showing by pulling off some awesome offense, guys who are kinda like Kofi and Cody Rhodes each year who are in for a long time but don't necessarily make a huge impact as far as eliminations go.

Due to the amount of people in the ring it can be hard to keep everyone relevant.

I was lucky enough to do it twice. And I'll never do it again.

It really is just a tough thing to write. Needless to say, mistakes will be made because more than one person is writing it. But the worst thing is just how much time it takes to get the thing through the pipe. You have to describe every little thing because no one is going to be happy having a shitty performance and being forgotten about.

It took me a good 2 days to write out my parts of the match both times and I ended up writing around 10-12k words each time. Not cool.

This is very true. It's never intended to give people a bad showing, it just happens when you're trying to manage a huge amount of people. This is also my second time writing the Lethal Lottery, I don't want to do it again.

To answer the other statement made prior about having only 4 people in the ring, at one point I had 11/12 people in the ring at one time, it's a matter of trying to focus on one major story going on at a time, while filling in peripheral stories around it. What that means is often times you won't see a character for some time, but it can be assumed that he is battling with others along the ropes or corner, or is knocked down currently and not in action. It takes some imagining from the reader, it's just like commentators during the Royal Rumble can't talk about every single wrestler in the ring at the same time.

Formatting the whole thing blows.

But yeah I was reading over the section I just wrote and totally forgot to touch on two guys who were in the ring. It isn't like they are jobbers either, I'm talking two big names.

In my experience, it's not so bad forgetting about a few guys for a while if they play a major part in the final 6 action.
