Unbunch thine panties.
Yes, doing it in public is better. It forces creative to have some accountability.
As for the Califa Dragon thing, I doubt they were planning on revealing his identity anytime soon anyway. Oh, and blaming me for that incident is just ridiculous. I jumped into that conflict after someone on creative (I want to say FalKon) gave Lee and Crock a hard time for guessing it was Ty and then proceeded to mock them.
The only thing I care about is how it makes absolutely no sense to keep him secret from a kayfabe perspective. Now that he has a roster page, it's really not that big a deal otherwise.
Isn't this supposed to be... y'know... fun?
I can't help but feel like people are getting a bit too uptight about all of this.
Is it annoying? Yeah.
Fact of the matter is, the head of creative had a fucking daughter this weekend and Funkay took a round off - they were down to five guys anyway and still managed to get the shows out within a goddamn day of when they said they would.
Unbunch thine panties.
Also, I might have a busy work schedule but at least I use up all the free time I have to get either the shows done or my segment/matches done (depending on who is taking care of the show's release) instead of lazing around and playing Black Ops 2 or something.
I wish Pancake didn't use the Kanye avatar, shit's cray.
Oh brother.
Look, I realize I take the WZCW team to task with some frequency, and every time I do I get shit on by not just creative, but my fellow RP'ers. However, whenever I talk to anyone outside of these WZCW threads, I hear the same complaints about how the angles don't make sense and the shows are always late. The reason I address this stuff is because I know with 100% certainty that I'm not the only one that it bothers. Lee is also vocal about it, and this week Chael Prophet and even Dynamite jumped in on how silly the Chris KO thing is.
What I don't understand is how an army of white knights (sorry Kermit, but you don't have the phrase TM'd yet) ride in every time somebody takes creative to task when week after week they give us late shows, and this week the angles were sub-par. Sure, that might be due to Number's daughter, FunKay's week off, and FalKon's busy schedule, but I think given the amount of work myself and others have put into our character's stories, wouldn't it be nice to be rewarded? Doc and I put in all that effort to push the whodunnit angle, an angle that both us and creative were intent on pushing, and it was TOTALLY dropped from the show this week. FunKay and I laid out a detailed plan for a blowoff for the feud with Strikeforce, and suddenly our match is hotshotted after ZERO build. Chris KO has lost both his matches since returning, and now he's rewarded with an open challenge program centered around him. Sam Smith drops RPs where he diminishes the value of the X Division Belt, and then he cuts a promo about what a proud champion he is. Titus talks about how much he hates Chris KO in his RPs, and the two have had no interaction outside of the Battle Royal. There are dozens of active wrestlers on the roster, and Steven Holmes is in the process of beginning a feud with an NPC.
This is just the type of shit that pisses me off. If creative is going to do whatever the fuck they want, why do they ask us for our opinions? Why do they ask us to send them storyline ideas? Why do they bother reading our RPs at all?
This is the sort of shit you should be saying. Logical, coherent and not fucking hulking out.
I agree that the shows this week were, uh, sloppy. I know that several things have contributed to that (as do you) what I'm trying to say is that there's feedback and being constructive and shitting all over everything without a single word for the positive nor seemingly any respect for the amount of work guys like Falkon regularly put in to something that they do to relax and have fun.
I agree with your comments about the Tag Team story, but I would not be at all surprised to see it pay off at the PPV. The title match was slightly hot-shotted and did come from nowhere but then the alternatives were probably worse.
Did I say creative should be able to piss all over our stories?
I agree that sometimes what happens 'on screen' doesn't pare up with what is happening in the RP threads, but to expect them to keep thorough track of around 30-40 individual plot threads as well as the actual storylines from the show is getting a little out of hand don't you think.
The KO thing also makes sense, I consider Kermit a friend but the face turn just isn't working out right now, or at least the gimmick itself isn't. The feud with Dave and Holmes I can also agree with but in all honesty who is there that could really feud with Holmes? He's in a holding pattern until Constantine cashes in the KFAD.
I've sent PMs to creative - hell I've sent goddamn tirades to Falkon on occasions and he's gone out of his way to discuss the issues with me point by point. I'm not saying don't give creative feedback. I am saying that there are ways and means that are significantly better than causing this thread to become a non-stop back and forth between the guys who would rather be private with their issues and the guys who like to scream them from the rooftops.
JGlass - I'm sorry you feel that way; we don't intentionally try to screw people who are always here and putting the effort in. For example, the whole tag team situation: the storyline hasn't been ignored but merely changed around. Not in a bad way though because if it was bad, we wouldn't have done it.
I basically just broke down the shit I was saying before.
Except this week they deserve it. I've been positive in the past as well as critical, but this week there was just too much negative shit for me to get to the positives. Hell, I can't even think of any positives with this week's show. Krypto won, and that's cool. That's about it.
I don't see what they could possibly do. If Saxton and Saboteur win then their feud with Strikeforce should logically end, and that would suck considering we could have had something really special given another PPV cycle to build. If Strikeforce wins then Saxton and Saboteur will take their rematch and this could lead to the potential hot potato title runs that are just annoying and boring. If New Church interferes then the whole thing just becomes a mess and we get another sloppy situation like what we had at Apocalypse.
I'm especially pissed because two of Saxton/Saboteur's 3 RPs in this cycle had to do with New Church and beating them, and now we're being given opponents that we didn't even talk about. The more I think about it, the angrier it makes me. Creative just really pissed all over the tag team titles this round. Thanks for taking a potentially great story and changing it into shit soup, guys.
That's right, you peed on it, and it became poop.
Did I say you said that?
No, not at all. There are, what, 20-25 characters in WZCW and they're all supposed to read all the RPs every week. How hard is it to keep in mind, "Sam Smith doesn't like the Elite X Title." It's not like they have to remember 200 digits of Pi.
I love me some Kermit, but they need to hit the reset button. And like I said, the Holmes thing could work out, so I'm not that concerned, but it would have been nice to use this as an opportunity to elevate someone. Quite frankly, I don't know what they're waiting for on pulling the trigger with Triple X. Feuding with Holmes would be a great test for him as he is well above Elite X title level now.
The last time I discussed my opinion of things with an unnamed creative member via PM, he flipped out on me. Doing it in public prevents that type of reaction. I'm keeping their name private out of respect and to avoid further drama, but just know that not everyone gets the "bend over backwards" treatment.
Except this week they deserve it. I've been positive in the past as well as critical, but this week there was just too much negative shit for me to get to the positives. Hell, I can't even think of any positives with this week's show. Krypto won, and that's cool. That's about it.
.
It could work, Triple X is good but not main event good, yet. If you put him against Funkay now it won't do him any favours (sorry for talking about you BK)
Why thank you, I know it's one of the lesser important things that happened this round and the win was probably handed to me because Kurtesy was on his way out but the way BK wrote the match was awesome. Probably my biggest win besides the thing at Apocalypse.
In a far more eloquent and less confrontational manner - that was the important bit.
I suspect if we lose we will be stepping back from the tag division for a bit - I don't think we'll split necessarily but go into singles competition for a while
I would say that it matters but I don't think it does. Ultimately it's going to be about whose RP is better in the relevant thread this round.
you pretty heavily implied it - or at least I inferred it.
Kermit's choice. It could work, Triple X is good but not main event good, yet. If you put him against Funkay now it won't do him any favours (sorry for talking about you BK)
That's never been my experience but I have no reason to not believe you. I hope you will find that the majority of the current creative team are pretty receptive.
I'm so pissed off about this that I'm contemplating posting the PMs where a creative member and I discussed in detail how to build both the feud with New Church and the feud with Strikeforce. It's insulting that they came to me and Doc for an idea, we gave them one, they told us to run with it, and then they slapped us across the face by pulling the rug out from underneath it.
What do you mean it doesn't mattered? Doc and I wrote four RPs to set up a match with New Church, and now we're not facing them. I'm pissed that I worked so hard to make a story, and now we don't get to see the ending.
Given the fact that one flipped out on me, one recently mocked regulars for guessing that Ty was Califa Dragon, and the whole team decided to take my great idea, tell me to run with it, and then pull the whole concept out one week before the PPV after Doc and I spent our RPs building for an entirely different match than the one we're being given... receptive isn't the word I'd use for creative right now.
I would think a simple PM from creative asking JGlass and Doc what they think about the new direction for the feud would have solved a lot of problems.
I liek turtles
I liek turtles
I already saw it. To yeah, take that!
