WZCW Discussion Thread

I'm just making sure people know who is responsible for causing all the fuss on this topic and not blaming Crock, Lee, or myself for it.

Anyone seen Gelg around?

I had this thought too, but then I thought...

1) I don't think Gelgarin would want to disguise his Black Dragon creation as another Dragon. Too obvious.
2) I don't think Gelgarin is all that interested in Mexican lucha culture.
C) Gelgarin stopped posting because he's working in Russia. He has a reason he can't write RPs.

Sure I don't care, everyone blames me for shit anyway.

I spoke my peace regarding the issue, you're the one being bitchy about it now and continuing to post about it like I'm sitting here arguing with you over it.

You all would be shocked and confused if I told you that it is King Shabba's old handler. So, I won't tell you that it is King Shabba's old handler.

...the fuck have I just read? I agree with the lack of a roster page being a bit annoying (though that's now resolved) but as for the user, why does it matter so much? I know some people work with their opponents or at least converse on RP's, but other than that, what benefit do I get from knowing who the poster is? It is a bit odd that we don't know, but maybe it's a former star under the mask which would explain it. If it isn't...so what?

Seriously, aside from the roster page thing, I don't see the big deal here.

Like who fucking cares? I've gone from finding humor in it to being annoyed. Like does it really matter?

J I love you, you are my e-brother from a kosher mother, but you are the very guy who once took issue with people who RP to win. Then you bring up how it gives his handler an unfair advantage. Plus you have admitted in the past to usually only reading the show results outside your own match, and Califa isn't affecting Saboteur, and likely won't be involved in any of our upcoming tag story lines. I just feel like you were taking issue over something just to stir the pot. You could have a match against a cardboard box and you could still write an entertaining RP, I just don't see why you took such an interest.

Maybe it is Ty, maybe it isn't. If it is him, great, Ty is an amazing RPer and he did a lot of solid work in his time as head of the fed. If not, no big deal. He stepped down as head of creative to spend more time with his family, you can't hold that against him. If he wants to stop in and check things out, he earned that. I'm sure he cares about how Chris K.O. is coming along as well, he helped shape him.

If it is someone else, does it matter? It isn't like he was gifted a world title shot, and I had a better showing than he did in the battle royal, so it isn't like Mark Twain is the mystery RPer.

I just thing people are making a big deal out of a relative non issue

So what if we don't know who El Califa is?

Surely it is a little bit of added mystery

Actually it did give an advantage as the RPer had nothing to work with. What's the gimmick? Where are they from? What moves do they do? What size are they?

First port of call in an RP against a new opponent is their Roster page.

Hes had two matches. One against someone on the roster and a battle royal. If Merk had asked he would have been shown it.

So a problem it is not. At all.

My issue here isn't with the storyline (or non-storyline or whatever this is) so much as it is with the fact that the second people started guessing they got put down and treated poorly. Crock fingered Ty as Califa and what happened? Ty guilt tripped him and then people (most notably FalKon and the regular WZCW sycophants like awesome_miz) started making a mockery of anyone who guessed that it was Ty.

I really don't care who it is, what I care about is the fact that it's creating all sorts of tension in the community, and the people who are really causing the tension are trying to play the blame game to make Crock and/or Lee out to be the bad guys. Unless there's a former WZCW guy under the mask (which at this point seems unlikely), it's a stupid storyline and is causing more harm than good. That's what my problem with all of this is. The other stuff I mentioned was just icing on the cake.

Okay enough. I'm getting fed up now. I told you to move on and everyone ignored that. I'm going to lock the thread if we don't just stop bitching about what is a non-isue.

Califa is a character that exists because it's something different. He's a character that has not had any unfair advantage. Hell, he was even eliminated from the Battle Royal in arguably the lamest possible way; he got tossed during a commerical break. There is nothing to this character other than his handler is a mystery, which should not matter at all as multiple people have now said. If this continues I will lock the thread. End of.

Wow, the whole who is Califa Dragon thing escalated pretty fucking quickly didn't it?

I can understand where JGlass is coming from with regard to the roster page not being there but I'm inclined to believe creative when they say it was a simple oversight. As for the point about not knowing who the poster is, I honestly couldn't give a shit. You shouldn't cater your RPs to your opponent with an "I've done enough" attitude in the first place unless you have very little time to RP and are facing an opponent you will easily beat.

Any idea when the boards are going to be up by the way? I logged on thinking they may be on already since it's Wednesday.

There is a slight delay due to some internal discusion regarding our performance the last few cycles. Look for them in the near future.

Fair enough, Numbers was pretty open about being pissed off about it. Hope you guys get things sorted.

EDIT: I mean that in an "it's cool man, don't worry about it" sense - I want to be clear on that...

Maybe this was my plan so that the Glass Ass will be able to overtake the WZCW Discussion Thread as the most posted in WrestleZone Thread of all time.

Now who's swerving who?

It's being discussed politely and then creative come in and make statements like this. We're discussing it without name calling or bitching.

You've got a mystery RPer and are getting angry because people are guessing who it is. Surely that's the point of a mystery RPer.

We aren't getting angry. We just see that this is being escalated because people dont like being wrong.

The whole thing is pathetic really. A rift is being made because we aren't doing things the normal way.

Fair enough.

Though if that's FunKay not angry, I'd hate to see him angry.
