Quite frankly, I don't really understand why we're keeping the writer secret unless the man under the mask is a returning WZCW star. Either way, the signs point to Ty being the writer and/or Ty Burna (the WZCW wrestler) being the man under the mask.
The reason I think it's weird that we're keeping the writer a secret is because it has absolutely nothing to do with WZCW kayfabe and is being done solely to keep the RP'ers in the dark, which is a major douche move if you ask me. We RP both in competition with one another and as a team, and keeping an RP'er secret puts Dragon's opponents at a disadvantage as they're not able to communicate with their opponent. I've preached this before, one of the things that made Doc and I put out solid RPs every week during our KC feud was the fact that we shot back PMs constantly regarding story development and things we each needed to hit in our RPs.
Plus, unless there is a former WZCW wrestler hiding under that mask, how are you going to make the payoff? Is Ty Burna (the poster) just going to suddenly start posting Califa Dragon promos with no prompt from the shows?
FURTHERMORE... the dude doesn't even have a roster page! Why is Califa Dragon granted this, quite frankly, ridiculous favor when no other WZCW character is given this sort of treatment? I get that he's supposed to be mysterious, but so was Black Dragon and he had a roster page the second he got his contract. Even if there is a Ty Burna or Black Dragon or Doug Crashin under that mask, there should at least be a roster page so his opponents know his move set, his background, a general idea of what he looks like... Unless I'm missing something, he has no roster page, and this leaves his opponents at another disadvantage. Look at Merk's RP for Califa Dragon's debut: he was forced to use what little he could gather from Califa's RP to throw together an RP for the match, and it wound up being a few small paragraphs. I'm sure there were other factors here, but Califa Dragon is being given a ton of advantages against his opponents and it's really not fair.
Now those are my thoughts on the matter, but to be fair, WZCW brass really hasn't given their reasons for keeping Califa Dragon's origins a secret. I think the RP'ers deserve to know why Califa Dragon is being kept a secret (and hopefully you can protect the actual secret in doing so) so that we can understand the nature of why we're being given so little information about the character.
