And as Phatso mentioned: deathcore is something I've been dabbling in as well. So brutal...

I don't have a problem with the brutality; I listen to plenty of bands that are brutal, like The Berzerker and Dying Fetus. I never liked grindcore [which is falf of deathcore] outside of the occasional songs by Anal Cunt or Torsofuck. I also tested Devourment and was like... nope. And then you have bands like Bring Me The Horizon... which are just terrible.

Deathcore is good, grindcore can suck a fucking nut. I know alot of deathcore bands take vocals from grindcore, but god. Real grindcore bands need to be fucking fire bombed.

Never was a fan of Arch Enemy, don't like their UBARRRR BROOOOTAL lead singer. God I hate her, allmost as much as that eletist bitch from Otep. I'd kick her right in the vag if I ever went to one of her shows.

But deathcore, man I have no clue how I got into it. I went from euro melodic metal, to deathcore. Really?! I mean it was allways black metal, and Melo death. But I have no clue how I got to this point. I remember Kalmah dude, that was my band in the day.

But now I have a legit list a mile long of bands I can stand. They fucking go from thrash, to deathcore. Kalmah, As I lay dying, Devildriver, AA, Dethklok, Chelsea Grin, Oceano, 1349, Bolt thrower, Municipal Waste, Lamb of god, Gojira, Pantera, The black Daliah murder, I could list off about 20 more. But shit still to this day, I can play two songs all day, and never get sick of them.

Black Metal is even crazier; you have church burnings, people killing each other left and right, and Mayhem taking the photo of their lead singer's dead body to use on an album cover. Euronymous and Vikernes were like the metal Tupac and Biggie. And Abbath is just hilarious.

I got into metal and rock turn of the century; I got bored of uber-heavy music because it was all about how heavy it was and nothing to do with the music. I listen to some pretty eclectic stuff but I still can't get into really heavy rock. It always sounds like the singers need a throat scraping. I don't object to screaming but I prefer it when it's used for effect rather than the default.

Numbers and Ty Burna's roleplaying are straight solid. I've read over the ban list and the create a character and i have all of that mapped out and whatnot. I will be first ready to apply to the WZW when i hit that 50 post mark.

Don't do what I did. Read as many RPs as humanl;y possible. Practice. Look up characters to use in your sample RP and figure out how you'll use them. Make up moves for yourself. And for God's sake. DON'T LIST SOMEONE AS YOUR ALIGNMENT.

I've been getting more into the melodic death metal as of late. I was into it back in high school but I was always looking for the most brutal bands to listen to. Bands such as As I Lay Dying and Dead To Fall (saw these dudes at a show once, absolutely phenomenal), The Agonist, and so on. Arch Enemy I'm a big fan of as well as I love female vocals.

I was also big into thrash, crust punk, and grindcore for awhile as well. Toxic Narcotic, Misery, Cephalic Carnage, Cattle Decapitation, Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Charles Bronson (I actually owned their two CD collection that held over 100 songs. 96 songs on one disc, they were the champions of the microsong), Phobia, Unholy Grave, and I could probably list off more bands but you get the idea. Throw in screamo (the actual screamo, not the shit that people claim is screamo nowadays) and even the Noise genre. I also got into hardcore quite a bit as well.

For those of you who are new to this, if you ever get the chance should their lead singer get out of prison, go see Lamb of God live. They are amazing: saw them at the start of the year at Soundwave. I get to see Chelsea Grin too, excited for that one.

Never found that myself to be honest. I just wish Goldfrapp had had a go at doing a Bond theme. I'm sure they could've come up with something suitably epic (same with the Scissor Sisters actually)

I like Flogging Molly and Black Flag. And of course early pioneers the Sex Pistols. Even Darkthrone is more of a punk band nowadays.
