WZCW Discussion Thread

I'm torn after reading both, Show you went back to the basics with your gimmick which is always a blast, but Harthan just nailed it with his work on making Drake look like the sleazy bastard he is. At the moment I'm leaning towards Drake but excellent work on both fronts. Makes me want to jump back into the fray :).

Sleaze sells apparently, even in the wrestling world. Maybe that's why writing heels is so much easier.

Eh, most of the time I've found Reese easier to write than Stark or Wunderbar. But I do see what you mean. As a face, there are more limits involved, and you have to make sure that what your character is doing is likeable. As a heel you can just be as much of a vindictive scumbag as you like.

And it's easy as a heel to cover yourself if your RP comes off faceish. I've had that happen a couple times as Mason, but then I just call Mikey fat or Titus washed up and I'm good.

I've never run into this problem with Saxton. But then, comedy is one of the hardest things to write.

I have to say I think the RPs from Showtime, Harthan, Funkay and Kermit were all great and showed why they are on creative because they are the best and most reliable writers we have. I can't split them just yet.

You can come back when I have some feedback on GM :D

Just got a good lol, numbers and I had our thread finished a full day before everyone else.

On a small note, I've gotten some feedback from one person in private, but would anyone else like to shoot me feedback. Rep and feedback will come in turn.

It's interesting how almost in parallel to the increasing degradation of my character, it's gotten easier for me to write him as a heel. When I first went in this direction after Kingdom Come, it was really difficult, and the Redemption RP was almost painful. Since then, it's just gotten easier and easier and like I said, this one flowed seamlessly from me.

I think we could work in an honorary vote for you if you're still feeling that way...

;) :D

I was the opposite, Ty was such a natural heel it was unreal. Even when I turned face the Creative team were a little concerned I couldn't make it work. And in reality I didn't change much character wise, the only thing I did was emphasize more of a need to hold personal honor and a fighting champion mentality in Ty. He was still a bastard, antagonized tag team partners to the point of them attacking him, messed with Big Dave's head (in a very heelish way) but because of my emphasis on Ty's honor and fighting spirit I was able to pull it off well enough to go undefeated during my face run. Of course switching back to heel after I turned on Reynolds was like putting on a familiar coat.

Heh, I'd rather get back into the mix of things and earn a title shot at Unscripted but I don't want to over shadow the main eventers just quite yet :).

I like GM, even though I pulled off the whole "mystical monster who's badass" better ;).

If only GM, Ty, and Vengeance were all going at the same time, that would have been one hell of a triple threat match.

Yeah but I sucked back then, Ricky will verify it,. I had to leave and become a heel to get good. But I knew Vengeance would be a star when Polley started. I wrote his debut match....good times.

I kind of started my undefeated streak by retiring Vengeance when he finally reached the top of the mountain so we faced off when we were both at our absolute best. Throw you in with how much you've improved as a writer but with the GM character, and that would have been epic.

I wish I had more motivation for Crimson years ago, my RP's were a mixture of Ace Steven's and Sam Smith's.

Yeah I wish I had been around when you started. I never really gave Lee a chance to turn this place around. I was so frustrated because the character was written terribly in the first LL and KFAD; hell I even put over Milenko of all people.

If I had stayed around, I would have seen the rise of you, Vengeance, Drake and Show.

I PM'd Scott Williams to even tell him he had the chance to be on the PPV card but he never responded. The boards are still open for some reason so there's still a chance but I doubt it. Wonder if this means Scott and Arashi will be written off Burnside and Mason style and one of the last four will be eliminated.

I never really rose. I was only contracted to work through one PPV cycle, and creative chose to book me further. Following the Eurasian Tournament I didn't have time for RPing anymore. I no showed like 4 times over the course of 6 rounds after that.

What you are seeing now is Celeste's "rise."

And Arashi. Who knows what happened to him?

Celeste was also going to become the first member of my stable I tried to put together back when I was in the upper mid card. Unfortunately you had to take time off so the plan was quietly dropped. Shame too, I think it was going to include Showtime, you, and a couple others I can't recall of the top of my head and myself. It would have been more dominant then the rWo had it came to fruition and dragged all our asses to the main event.
