There was originally a 24 hour extension automatically attached to the boards but that got changed to a "soft extension." I decided to give the best of both worlds by closing the boards until the last person RPed but considering almost everyone got up their RP's before the deadline, I didn't need to implement that.
I understand that its frustrating on your side of the fence as we have essentially eliminated extensions for you guys and yet we still post up shows a day late but the fed isn't our number one priority when compared to real life. It's a cheesy excuse, I know but when you've got your siblings keeping you up every night due to illnesses, working ridiculous shifts that revolve around the same time as when you're supposed to write up matches and other inconveniences, we can't do much.
We're doing our best to get stuff done despite only having 5 creative members working at the shows (I'm one of the two not doing the shows as I've got the Magazine and other tidbits to complete). If that's not good enough, I apologise.

I will also mention that our plans have changed several times due to outside factors that we have no control over, thus sending all of us back to the drawing board multiple times to get the best possible solution... so we've been back-logged with trying to plan and instead of using that time to create the matches to fit with our plans.
I know that's the case Falkon and I appreciate the fact that you're willing to open a dialogue.
I won't lie, I'm disappointed the shows aren't up either (and I'm sure that you're not either, especially since you're the one currently getting shit for it.)
I'm also aware that you're one member down since Dave is on holiday.
If I could make a suggestion, why not look at expanding the creative team and adding an "intern" member?
An eighth member of creative who writes matches and segments but (crucially) doesn't vote unless one of the main team is missing, hell they don't even need access to the creative area, though it would help them.
I'm not suggesting this as a way to get myself on creative - far from it - merely offering a way to increase the number of guys writing matches for meltdown and ascension without compromising the voting system (I appreciate that you need an odd number of guys on creative in order to avoid tied votes)
It's also a good way to trial someone for a proper creative spot in the future (unless as with kingdom come you lose two guys at once)
Just a suggestion since I know you guys have been a man down this whole PPV cycle and something like that might lessen the load so to speak.

We've looked into and discussed the possibility of adding an "intern member" many times but it seems to never make it past the discussion part. Once we've got Apocalypse out of the way we'll be using that week break to evaluate everything and I'll bring it up another time but I don't know if we'll implement it.

Fair enough, I suspected something like that would have been discussed in the past and I'm sure there are many reasons why it couldn't/shouldn't happen, regardless, I thought it better to bring the idea up for a discussion rather than allowing a situation to fester where shows are regularly a day late for reasons that could be lessened with an extra pair of hands, even just for match-writing.

Boo fucking hoo. I'm working til 9pm every day and had an interview for promotion and had the busiest week of the year with church yet I still managed to RP. I was annoyed I couldn't get a one day extension but I still RP'd.
If you know you're not going to put the shows up on time tell us rather than giving a shit excuse then back tracking on it.

A) I'm offering something constructive to the conversation in an attempt to help creative out.
B) RL does take priority over E-fed, at what point exactly did I suggest that that wasn't the case? I merely stated that having an extra pair of hands would be helpful, how is that me saying "NO E-fed comes first"?
C) I'm not Ricky, yes we have the same avatar but our names only share the first letter in common. Also my sig distinctly has Strikeforce in it and NOT Ricky.
D) I realise that you are not disappointed with the delay, but then you're smart enough not to be a hypocrite since its commonly known via this thread that you've single handedly delayed aftershock at least twice...
Forgive me for trying to give constructive feedback that offers a potential solution to a clearly stretched creative team. I don't know the reasons why the show was delayed nor will I pretend to, what I do know is that I've been in this fed since January and don't remember a single cycle in which every show was on time - it to me indicates that seven creative members are not enough and an extra pair of hands to help lighten the load of match writing could be a good way to counter that.
Okay, seriously, you always say that real life > e-life but I lost my match last week because I asked for one small extension (that Killjoy already HAD) because of real life things, and this week my RP was ballsed up because of real life bullshit, and you can't even get the shows out on time?

I know bro. I'm just mearly saying that RL comes first. I know the side of both non-creative side and creative side. I know how each site feels. How would you like it if you were on creative and had real life issues and people all up your balls about not having a show up on time. They feel frustrated on people all over their business. Also, the Ricky reference was to Ricky. I knew who I was responding to, but when Ricky was in charge the shows would be delay on weeks notice.
So, be happy that the shows are on at least a day delayed.

I could understand that if shows had been on time or leeway was given to us it wasn't this week and i can't remember the last time a round of shows was up on time.

I work three jobs, one voluntary job, am a landlord of a house that I have to babysit the other 4 people that live with me, have a shit-load of family problems happening such as my cousin being pregnant with her ex-boyfriend who beat her up and she got a restraining order against whilst she is dating one of my best friends, I've got bills to pay off and my fridge just blew... I have to manage all this and yet I still do my best to come on here and do what needs to be done.
Again, I apologise for the tardiness and I understand its frustrating but please, don't make us feel worse than it already is. Some of these decisions you'll have to talk to the people who made them and for the other things, you don't live my life at the moment. I'm trying to keep up as best as possible until things settle down. I've got more important issues than satisfying deadlines on an internet forum - although I do my best to try and get things done ASAP.

I wouldn't feel good about it if I were on creative, I'm not actually complaining necessarily which I feel is a point that you keep missing. At the same time I can empathise with Lee and Doc because they both posted RPs this week in difficult circumstances because if WE miss an RP deadline three times in a YEAR we're out of the fed, effectively permanently. My point was, and still is that it's fairly obvious with a roster the size we have that seven members of creative is likely not enough, nine would likely be too many and eight people would bugger up the voting system since draws would be a far more common occurrence. However, an eighth member who just writes matches would be an effective compromise between the current situation and ones that would only serve to make things worse.
Am I angry at creative for the show(s) being late? No.
Do I agree that RL comes before the fed? Yes.
Do I understand Doc and Lee's frustration at putting the fed first or writing a crappy RP because we were told no extensions so the shows could be on time and they aren't? Yes. I'm sure everyone on creative empathises too.
I don't see how my stance could be less simple in reality, however I will say that I think both sides are in the wrong AND in the right, personally I'd rather wait an extra day and get higher quality shows if that's the end result but that doesn't mean I can't see Lee and Docs frustration and think "yeah I see where they are coming from". I'm not knocking creative, I simply tried to offer a compromise for a difficult situation to avoid guys being annoyed (however justified or not they are) by the shows being late.

That probably came out wrong: its not that don't want the best for this place because I love this place and I don't want to leave this place for a very long time, wanting to introduce new ideas but unfortunately, I've got a lot of things coming up in life that prevents me from doing my very best for the fed. I still get everything that is needed from me done around the deadline and not so far off but if I dont get stuff done, I'm sorry. I'm trying to do my best with the life I've got atm (which I promise will calm down).
I can't give you a definite answer for the other guys because I'm not them but we've all got real life stuff to take care of. We're doing our best for what we've got and I'm sorry that's not good enough, I really am. I hate it that we're not getting shit up on time and that frustrates me because we are consistently letting you guys down.

Initially, I gave everyone an extra day plus soft extensions for RPing because I thought it would be nice for everyone to have an extra day plus it gives us an extra 24 hours to plan and consequently, it gives us the ability to post the shows a day after without fear of being late. However, it got changed for reasons I don't know why.
All those things I knew prior however developments are a thing. Recently, the person who worked during the times where I would allocate time for stuff for doing Meltdown has called in sick so I've had to take her shifts, rendering me all but useless for MD. Ascension I'm barely scrapping as I've got my usual shifts but Aftershock I'm fine to deal with as its my only day off. I knew my cousin was pregnant before but the guy who I live with is making my life hell on a day-to-day basis. He is ignoring anything I ask him to do and such despite me being the "owner" of the house, I can't do shit about it because I would incite a huge problem for me, rendering myself useless for weeks (as one problem would be the internet issues he controls and other bullshit reasons that tie around getting a new internet connection).
Again, I understand your frustration. I have that same feel when I'm the one letting the team down, trying my absolute hardest to get shit done with the fact that I'm late and will cop abuse in the back of my mind hindering me from writing. I hate it when we don't get shows posted on time as well... we've got reasons but I know its starting to sound like excuses because of the amount of times we fall back on the "RL issues" excuse. I'm empathising here with you guys but what can I do right this second to fix things? Not much.
