We talking hockey? I stopped caring once the Preds went out.
By distance the Preds are the closest team to me, so I take some interest in them. They are behind the Avs though on my list
Honestly I'd love to see the Kings win it all. I'm all about the underdog, the unexpected winner to take it all. Since it rarely if ever happens in the NBA, hockey is the best bet for that to happen.
New Jersey is my pick to win it this year. You win cups by having a great goalie, and having the best in the game helps.
Hell, we go by this logic, I should be very interested in New Jersey and Boston, but I could care less for both teams.
The Canucks got eliminated already though. I do think Luongo is the best goalie right now, but I think that Lundqvist is the best goalie of the 4 teams still in the playoffs. Quick is also playing a lot better than Marty Brodeur I think as well. I think whoever comes out of the east will win it. The Kings look strong, but I think that the Eastern Conference is a lot stronger than the Western Conference.

Patrick Roy.Luongo has the most promise out of the current goalies, but Martin Brodeur is the best goalie in the game right now, if not of all time. Want to argue with the statistics on this?
I'm saying that this season, I thought that the Eastern Conference was stronger than the Western Conference. Also, East is stronger than West, hence why a team from the East has won it 6 times since 2000.
I got you here. In Basketball it is for me, though. I'm from New Jersey, so I can root for the Nets, Knicks, or 76ers. I'm a Magic fan, and I've been to Florida once before. I'm pretty sure I became a Magic fan before I made a trip to Florida as well. For me, it was whatever team JJ Redick got drafted to would be my favorite.Living in Indiana, I could take an interest in Chicago(who are ok by me), St. Louis(who I don't really follow), Nashville(who I care for), Columbus(who are awful), or Detroit(who I fucking despite).
Instead I root for Colorado. A state I have never even been to
Marty has obviously had a better career. Honestly, the only goalie I think that has had a better career than Marty was Patrick Roy. A case can be made for Dominik Hasek as well. I wouldn't say that Luongo chokes, he did win a gold medal at the Winter Olympics.I'd say at this point in their careers Lundqvist is better than Marty but Marty has had a better career. Luongo is almost unbeatable in the regular season but he chokes in the post season. I do agree that the East is stronger
Patrick Roy.

Like the Titans I really only care about the Preds when they do well. On the other hand if Nashville were to ever purchase an NBA team I'd be very happy.
Moon Mans, I see your point. I really can't argue about the records that Brodeur has at all. The olympic medals, Brodeur was backing up Luongo when he won the second one, and Roy declined to play in the Winter Olympics when Brodeur won his first gold. I just found Roy to be all around better goaltender. Also, Brodeur has already played more season than Roy has, but I can definitely see why people can put Brodeur over Roy. Patrick Roy also has one more Stanley Cup than Marty Brodeur.
If Maine got any professional team, I'd be amazed and so happy.
Maine? What is this Maine you speak of? I kid. But really, I think Maine is even more overlooked than the Dakota's.
Seriously...
Maine - Timber forests, it's cold
The Dakota's - Timber forests, it's cold, Mount Rushmoore, Fargo
So, I wrote up an application and was going to send it to people to see what they thought. Firefox crashed and it went byebye
Ah well.

Oil. Hills. Prairie. The infamous Ty Burna.
Clearly it has an edge.
One of the fun things of living here is that you get to ask the best question ever, "What places do you know of in Maine?"
The answer is always the same, "North, Portland, and Bangor."
