WZCW Discussion Thread

would anyone mind looking over my RP before I put it up? i think i did a better job this week. I'll look over anyone's and give rep if you do.

How difficult is it to sit on an RP for a day or two? Damn.

the whole reason i posted mine up so soon was because I'm unsure of how much internet access I'm gonna have for around the next week, and even if i did do an extension i would probably still be late. So i was pretty much trying to avoid no showing. I think i did better this go around then i did the last round, but we'll see

The fuck is supposed to be wrong with posting your roleplay early?

Let's not bullshit here and suggest that most people write their RP early and then spend the week polishing it. Most people spend the whole week "thinking of an idea" (massive quotes) and then start writing twelve hours before the deadline.

People who post early are doing exactly the same thing, just with considerably more common sense, since if Granny drops dead at the wrong moment they'll still avoid a no show.

More power to them I say.

It's worked for me .

The problem with posting an RP so far in advance of the deadline is this: if you've got it done now, why not take a few days to revise it? At the very least, wait a day and proofread it. You've obviously got the time.

that's the problem this time though. I don't know how much access to a computer I'll have after today. My unit is going to the field for a while so internet is gonna be prety few and far between, unless i try to post it up from my phone. I'd do an extension, but i still might not be able to make the extended deadline even if i did.

As someone who used to post their RP a day or two after the cards went up I learned if you just sit and read the RP before you post it you can find things that you want to add or remove. And RP posted late isn't usually better than an RP posted early, but the RP posted later will most likely have less mistakes and quirks.

Well, this is different. Effectively you're simply working with a separate deadline.

Getting it done and keeping it wouldn't work for me.

Knowing me I would keep it, not look at it and forget about it until the day of the deadline and post it with not changes so why not post it as soon as it's done?
