Just beat Arkham Asylum. Now my Batman Animated obsession is really getting to me. Can I dump Matt Tastic for a masked vigilante? Real name, Tim Grayson. Or Dick Drake.

Haha. Been watching Batman: The Brave and The Bold and it sparked me to write a thread about superheroes, it's in the Potluck right now.

If were talking entertainment value as whole. Marvel kind of takes the cake.

Overall entertainment value, once again DC takes the cake. Each major hero in DC has the ability to stand alone in their own comics. Where as Marvel relies heavily on crossing over and connecting every hero together. These crossovers kill Supervillains as a whole.

Superman vs Doom / Superman vs Lex Luthor

Batman vs Joker / Batman vs Mr.Freeze.

Green Lantern vs Sinestro / Green Lanter vs Fear (Yeah, he faces a human emotion mono to mono. That's fucking bad ass)

Marvel is only entertaining when it comes to crossovers and teams. X-Men and the Avengers are testaments to that. Unless your name is Spider-man.

As a whole I also meant movies and television. But nonetheless you do bring up solid points about Marvel. But the only things I can really agree with are the Batman/Joker/Freeze.
EDIT: I'm not very up to date on Latern so I can't really dispute that.

Hal Jordan is great and all... but I like Black Lantern Spectre the best

Hell, the villains in Batman's neck of the woods can beat the hell out of any of the villains in most of the Marvel Universe, character wise.

Besides that, I believe Marvel tries to get too dark or edgy to beat out the typical Superhero mold DC established early. But when DC gets dark and edgy. Boy does it get edgy.

Read Animal vs Man. That shit will make you look at rabbits at the pet store at whole new light.

I've never really read print comics, but I am a big webcomics dude. I briefly flirted with print comics when Brian Clevinger (of 8-bit Theater) first published Atomic Robo, and I picked up some other indy stuff, but it never stuck. Maybe one of these days I'll grab an issue of whatever. Some more mainstream stuff, probably.

Great, now we're gonna do some DC dick-swinging aren't we?

Lulz, anyway, I think Marvel Civil War was the most botched comic book storyline in the past 2 decades. The whole damn thing was filled with potential but no, we get Iron Man & Mr. Fantastic turning into fucking nazis.

Mr Fantastic isn't a Nazi, he's just a genius who is too smart fr his own good. He completely disregards personal emotion and subjective opinions if the numbers are right. If Fantastic's statistics showed that rebelling would have been the better option, he would have been more than happy to follow suit.

And for the record, Civil War was awesome.
