Deal. Two puffs can be sacrificed for the greater good.

As long as you extole the virtues of moderation and staying away from anything harder than weed (Heroin =/= good craic) and keep an eye out for signs that they've got a problem (addiction =/= good craic), I don't see much wrong with that attitude. Not inherently worse than the blanket statement that all drugs are evil and Weed will spoil your soul. At least they're likely to know what the fuck they're doing first and likely to talk about it with you.

In all seriousness, this is the attitude I want to promote with my kids. I feel like if you make shit out to be untouchable and evil they'll just do it without telling you and be stupid about it. Much rather they just be in an open environment and do it responsibly.

Agreed. Worked for me at least. I think the taboo is the reason underage and irresponsible drinking is such a problem.

Thing is, I know that pot & stuff like that has benefits & consequences, just like everything else in the world. I just made the decision to keep myself & my body clean. If my kids wanna do pot, which I presume would be legal by then, then I just wanna make sure they know what they're getting into.

I'm willing to bet that you consume, on a regular basis, a wide variety of things that are either (or both) far more unnatural and far less "clean" than weed.
