Yes and it wouldn't stop so we had to just unplug it. This actually happen just awhile a go.

Is it a Windows XP computer and if so do you have a Windows XP install disc handy?

Awesome. If you have an install disc there's an easy fix for it.

1. Pop the CD in.
2. Boot from the CD. You may see an option like F12 for boot menu. Select CD Player.
3. You'll see Please hit any key to boot from disk. Do so.
4. The install disc will load up. This will take a bit of time.
5. Finally it will come up to a screen with three options. Press the escape key.
6. A black screen will pop up. It may ask you to log in to an account. Just press enter.
7. After that type fixboot and then hit enter. It may ask you to confirm, hit the y key.
8. Once that's complete type fixmbr and enter. It will ask you to confirm hit the y key.
9. Once done type exit and the computer should restart. If it doesn't do a manual restart with the button and eject the CD. It should be fixed. If not there is something else going on then but this trick 95% of the time fixes the issue.

I had an idea for a gimmick that I liked enough to consider dropping Alhazred for but decided against it as I have too much invested in him.
