WZCW Discussion Thread

I don't know if it was mentioned, but give some rep to Doc, Diamond Dallas Page, for coming up with the new Elite Championship design. The man did an awesome job.

Indeed. He did a great job. And I hope he enjoyed the end result as much as I did.

Also, take note folks: Titus has yet to wrestle this round, could he actually be defending the WZCW World Heavyweight Championship? Could he?

I bet S.H.I.T beats him for the title on Aftershock.

Loved Ascension, loved the new title, loved all the returns, even though I have no idea who they are. Giggle at Skinner being beaten by a girl, not gonna lie.

Titus losing his belt to S.H.I.T would be awesome. I think he'll end up facing Darren Bull or Ryan Raynes though and getting an easy win.

You might wanna watch who you giggle at, boy. Celeste is no laughing matter... back in the day, that bitch tore up the joint with malice. You just thank your lucky stars Aurelia Molotov ain't around...

I'm curious how Saboteur suddenly perked up in the mood to bring an army of trained penguins to the ring with him after he had a very dark ending to his RP this past week...

Not that I didn't laugh out loud when I read the part about the penguins, and the image I had in my mind when the penguins comforted him after being taken out of the ring was also hilarious, but Saboteur would be in no mood for cute aquatic critters.

Statement time: Saboteur wants revenge. On everyone. Gauntlet match, Saboteur vs. Overlast, Scumm, and Baller. We (he and I discussed it... in my brain) wants it. We wants it bad.

Clearly you weren't on top of your game because you lost the match. I thought the psychological trauma was obvious because of that.

In the WWE or TNA when one of their higher level stars (and I think Saboteur meets that status) has some sort of angry promo, they come out with fire in their eyes. Even if they lose, their wrestling reflects their anger. They usually start out with a 3-5 minutes of dominance, and then their anger gets the better of them and they make a mistake. I'm okay with losing. More than okay in fact, losing is what makes wrestling interesting. However, I am not pleased with how Saboteur lost the match. Like I said, the penguins were funny, but this was not the week for it, and Saboteur did very little storytelling in the match.

There were many positives about the match you wrote, Kermit, but I'm going to be honest about what I thought was sub-par. I did that with FunKay for a match he wrote for me, and now I consider him one of the best match writers on creative, probably second only to Ty. The action of the match was good, but it didn't fit with what's going on outside of the ring, and finding the balance between the character in and out of the ring is key.

I agree with this 100%. Yeah the AA and MM are an excuse to go a little crazy but this was on par with the chicken suit and was contrary to the steam that was built in the promo.

Your critique has been noted. Still trying to find a balance in my match writing style. I won't blame my massive headache over the weekend, but it wasn't the biggest help. Cheers.

I have to say that I was extremely happy with the portrayal of Barbosa on both Meltdown and Ascension and I repped Ty and Showtime for it (if I have left anyone out, let me know). There was part of me that doubted them when it came to Barbosa confronting Titus, thinking that nothing would happen between them apart from talking. The new Barbosa does not do public talking so the brawl was most welcome.

I thought that was brilliant how well that worked.

I also loved the Holmes opening and the new Elite belt.
