WZCW Discussion Thread

Which would make absolutely no sense and kind of a waste of a mod spot. All things considered unless you're a member of WZCW Creative already or a member that we may consider for a Creative spot, there are other spots on the forum that would be far more beneficial.

Ah well. We must see how it pans out, I suppose.

In the case of WCZW creative, is it not possible just to have one of the admins grant a certain member the ability to access the creative board room without actually giving them mod powers? I think I remember something like that happening with Blade.

I think somewhere in the election rules it says that Sly, KB, and the winner will discuss what section they will mod over. I'm sure Sly and KB would be wise enough to either ask you first.

Well the candidates have to decide on what area they're running for first. The winner gets to become a mod of that section that he decided to run for. Only one winner and one mod spot. Theoretically you could have 3 candidates all running for different spots, but only one candidate gets the mod spot for his desired section.

We have that already, Funkay and Showtime both have Creative room access but no mod powers.

Blade and Falkon have semi mod powers. They can move, delete, edit etc. any thread or post in the WZCW section like a regular mod can, but they cannot warn or infract anyone and don't have access to the board room.

Numbers and I are full time mods and have all the standard rights that comes with being a mod.

If we do establish a party can I nominate FalKon or myself? I would love to moderate the Sports Stadium, or at least have a crack at it. :)

WZCW is an engima unto itself; if you are short on staff it might just be beneficial to ask one of the admins to give one of the semi mods full modding powers.

And that's the thing, the semi mod powers are there for putting up shows, boards etc, in case myself and/or Numbers are absent. There's really no infractions or warnings that are handed out here, I can count on one hand how many warnings I've handed out in this section. I can only recall one infraction ever given, and that was when Everest used an interviewer from a wrestling news site, which isn't allowed in the rules.

This brings up a good point. We can also use our numbers not just for WZCW but any section really. However at that point we might benefit more jumping onto another party such as Lee's party. I know VGAT needs a mod as does the Sports Stadium.

I can honestly say if we're getting behind someone in WZCW, I would probably want to back Crock as he's the most active in the rest of the forums and I think he deserves a mod spot. Not saying anyone else doesn't either but Crock's been fighting for that shit for a long time.

I'm pretty amazing at everything; toying with the idea of taking things far too seriously and throwing time into this, just throwing that out there.

I think I'll jump in with Lee. If I had the chance to Mod VGAT, I'd take it.

I think you're wasting the opportunity if you block vote for a video game moderator. The section is currently unmoderated, which means that in the not too distant future somebody deserving is going to be picked out to take over the section anyway.

As a block vote this election gives WZCW the ability to actually make quite a lot of difference in the way this forum works, and campaigning to have somebody fill and vacancy that is going to be imminently filled anyway will only serve to invalidate this opportunity that we have been given.

Instead we could group together to back one of the platforms that could make a real difference to this forum. People have been crying out for a moderator to the spam sections for years, and the administration has historically been resistant to the idea. For the first time ever we have a chance to force the issue, to actually change the way the forum works, and to get somebody into a position of authority who might not otherwise be given the chance.

WZCW has the unique opportunity to make a real difference here. Let's not piss it all away.

A person that isn't exactly well received by certain key members of WZCW Creative (and I'm assuming some members of the roster as well). I won't put WZCW's name on a campaign I have no intentions of supporting.

Now before this breaks down into a campaigning thread, obviously everyone in WZCW is welcome to their own opinions and can join any party they wish. Nothing will be held against you as that is for all intents and purposes separate from here. My Creative Team will be the ultimate decision makers on who we back in this whole thing. We'll take everything into consideration but so far I've gotten almost all positive on supporting Gamers Unite.

Apparently there's an X-Factor/Election for a new mod position, and the winner gets to mod a section of his choice. WZCW was listed as one of the positions, but I don't think the team was in full support as such, especially if a non-fedder wanted it. I think it's basically clarifying that if the new mod wants to do WZCW, he needs to sort it with Ty first, but there are many sections that need a mod more than here.

Yeah that's my understanding of it. If the winner wanted to help/be involved here then Ty (and myself I guess plus the rest of the guys I imagine) would need to be in agreement.

Anybody want to band with me and form a party for a prison mod. That place needs to become more than just a place where normal members come to harass prisoners.
