I suspect the usual preshow stuffs more of a test of the porter and not the character. That's what I've taken it to be anyway. Did Constantine have to jump through hoops?

So far it looks like the name is going to be "The Second City Rating Daredevils" But I feel that is quite a stretch of a name. Better than "Stantime" though.

Ugh, that's a horrible name. Maybe the Rating Winning Daredevils... though if I had to pick one, it would simply be Reynolds and Runn, making Ricky's R&R finisher even more aptly named.

My thoughts exactly. Once again, correct me if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that the lower card and battle royals and such were to gauge the RPers ability, not to make the character "pay his dues."

Besides, they used a specific formula for whom they included in this match, and TIW happened to fit into that formula. Whether he moves past the first round will be up to the WCZW fans.

Honestly instead of asking who shouldn't be in the WHC tourny, but asking ourselves who should be in. Austin Reynolds will be busy holding half of the tag team titles. Titus has lost quite a number of matches recently to be considered for a world title shot. Showtime has the tag titles (for now) Steamboat Ricky might have his hands full with Chris K.O, and along with Everest as it seems.

Having a veteran like Thriller in the tourney is not a bad thing, despite his character being new to Pro-Wrestling I think he will be able to work on that. And Saboteur had the upset of the year in beating a unstoppable Ty Burna. Ending the winning streak of the champ alone should send him soaring on the ladder.

I am happy with the selctions and I know exactly who I will be voting for. (:

I'm going to check with Numbers and see if we should go on WZCW.com and have the WZCW universe pick a name or something. <_<

I'm telling you, Reynolds and Runn is the way to go. It's simple, it's catchy, it rolls off the tongue, and you can both keep your own nicknames without forcing them together for some cheesy nickname.

What was the logic behind the WHC 'tournament'?

As in how were the competitors decided?
Despite the speculation, it wasn't based on creative clout.
Why not someone like Crock, or Holmes or even Blade?
This bit is pretty clear.

Ding ding ding! As usual D'Jose sees through us :)

We've got previous with this. Not just Dave/Constantine, but myself as well. I got a title shot and nearly won it.

It's why Remix, Harthan & Thriller didnt have to get a contract match and we could have put any of them in that triple threat.

Just to clear this up, the triple threat situation was used to bring three guys into the title picture. That's happened with Baller, Dave and Kurtesy. The remainders are the losers of the triple threats with the exception of Baez who is now facing Titus once more and was stripped of his shot because of his consistent interference in Titus' matters. Saboteur defeated Ty Burna and now has the shot.

In terms of TIW/Thriller, as Jose (the glorious man he is) said, he's established and we know how good he is. He need not be put through the qualifying sessions. Before he left, he was a reasonably top star and as such, he was allowed to be in the triple threats.

Feedback for this round is up. My 1 Rep power is coming your way Creative!

P.S: How does one increase Rep Power? Does it come with Post count, Rep points, or total time spent on the forums? I honestly have no idea.

Ricky forgets the Mayhem title match in his overview. But it dosen't matter, we all know why he gave As 8.5 pushing it over Meltdown. Big things are going to happen with the Mayhem Division boys, big things. Mark my words

I think people were just talking about kayfabe wise really.

Exactly. I don't care much about people being shown favour because creative know them, I just don't like booking that doesn't hold up the scrutiny. Thriller may have thoroughly earned his stripes, but TIW hasn't. Fresh, completely unestablished talents should not show up on a highly bloated roster, be booked into world title contendership for their début match and upon failing to claim victory in that be instantly booked into a second similar program.

However things may be run backstage; I'm sure the kayfabe impression we are going for is that card position is something that people have to earn and not something that is randomly handed to people. The inclusion of an 0-1 talent in a second world title program with no attempt at build, explanation or rationalization completely undermines that. It's the sort of thing that Klunderbunker would complain about for weeks if it happened in the real world.

I don't think it's unfair, I just think it's bad writing.

Why there were no other suitable candidates has already been explained. And he's not in a title programme, he's in a tournament that eventually leads to world title contention. They're two different thing. Unproven wrestlers have always been part of tournaments when needed. Hell, Tyson Kidd and Alex Riley (before he broke away from The Miz) were in the 2010 King of the Ring.

You don't want TIW in the world title match, you don't vote for him. Simples. Now drop it.

Change of subject I know, but would it be possible for one person to apply with a tag team?

Also Reynolds and Runn is probably the better name going

I'm going to do a poll for the name later.

A one person tag team? Any reason? We kind of did something with Barbosa before but it worked with his gimmick.

Or do you mean two characters, one handler? If you do then I think we have said no before and I think it would be the same again.

I meant two characters one handler, in a division with three teams, two of which may or may not last I wondered if it was worth a couple of teams, each handled by one person, that way if you no show your not letting down a partner either

A lot of stuff went down on Meltdown and Ascension with regards the future direction of the main titles. Perhaps because of that and despite Myles and Bateman being highly prominent in their respective shows, the future of the KFAD contract was not addressed by management at all really. Maybe that will be the focus of something next week...

As for Reynolds and Runn, if they are not going to be called "Embarrassing Portmanteau" then their name should be "Winning Runn"
