Does anybody remember when Matt Hardy returned to the WWE in 2005 and basically said that the entire feud Edge had with Kane over the previous few months was part of a storyline but what he was doing with Edge at that point was totally real? I mean I enjoyed Matt vs. Edge, but I just didn't like Matt acknowledging on-screen that wrestling is fake and that Kane and Edge were just "pretending." The absence of that sort of stuff is part of what makes Punk's current storyline so good. He never says on camera or even implies that wrestling is fake. There's this notion that he's breaking the fourth wall, but he really hasn't. We're all in on the joke, but kayfabe is always in effect.

What am I getting at? You tell me.

Well I guess my mask has been thrown into the ring. Can't help feeling I'll be kicking my ass for this come morning. Actually spontaneous, no plan, no high brow literary references, barely managed to get a reference to The West Wing into the text. This is my equivalent of when my friends take a bunch of miscellaneous drugs and sit up all night writing.

Most of it's based heavily on truth though, cept the Galgarin flavored lucky dip part, that sounds a bit icky. It might have been a metaphor, but metaphors can still be icky. Just ask the humble caterpillar.
