While I understand your point and am actually pretty willing to agree, but what bugs me is when people set dates and fail to follow through. When people see an exact date, that's usually when we expect get the product. September 21st isn't September 16th, or the day after, so thus why you'll get people complaining...happens with mostly everything, from getting your ID in the mail to video game releases, it just happens. Personally I just want to keep going with my character so that I DON'T lose interest, rather than stall on him after his 1st match. I had to wait a month to apply, and another month to get a match. Now, I gotta wait possibly another month to see how my match ended up...MAYBE this might bring up an answer for why people don't get as interested in an E-Fed, just a point though.
I can understand both sides. Yes, it absolutely sucks to wait. I dispise waiting. Christmas, for example, sucks because of it, its such a build up & in the end, you either get a let down.. or you knew all along what you were getting.
But the thing I'm siding with is, half the people who're so excited to role-play, don't. And the staff has to write & re-write angles & storylines because its not fair to push people who don't contribute to putting on any type of RP. So the way I see it, the reason it takes longer than what was said, is because they probably planned on pushing a couple people based on how "excited" they were & how their characters seemed.. but in the end, if you don't RP, you shouldn't get a push. So therefore, they have to re-write everything, or at least selective things.
All in all, waiting sucks.. I'll completely agree, noone would disagree.. but I'm not going to push it because of 2 reasons.
1. If you push too hard, you may not have to worry about being excited or having your excitement run out, because none of the staff will want to contribute to writing your matches. (RatedR_HBK, this is NOT directed toward you, because you aren't complaining)
2. If you push too hard, then you may get a bigger let down when the match doesn't seem its best.
So, yeah.. I think "due dates" should be taken away all together, that way we can no longer complain when it gets passed without a show being posted. RP deadlines are one thing, show deadlines are another.
