WZCW Discussion Thread

Just an FYI - Cards will be out later on this evening. Obviously we have had to move some things around with Prophet leaving. To that end, we have extended the deadline for RP submissions an extra couple of days until Monday the 12th.

Can any fellow American explain to me why we still observe Groundhog Day? There's nothing fun about it. The groundhog is less accurate than flipping a coin would be. Why do we hold on to this tradition? Is it really that marketable? I don't know a single person that gets hyped for today.

Tradition would be my guess. Doesn't he see his shadow every year and wind up being wrong every year? I stopped paying attention long ago.

Hey, I know about groundhog day. I didn't know it was a celebrated holiday however.

We don’t really “observe” it. That’s the wrong word. It’s just something kinda funny, and it’s only still paid attention to because of the movie.

Fuck Groundhog Day. And fuck radio DJs who still try and make a big deal out of it. Fuck the radio. Fuck.

So, I didn't know that Final Fantasy games have not only arrived on PC, but many of them have been there for last 3 years now. FF XV is launching shortly on Steam, and there are many other FF games available now.

I've never played FF games, mostly because I've never owned a console. For the most part, the reviews on Steam seem to be positive for the ports. Are they worth getting now? I mean, have the aged well?

4, 6, 7, and 9 are the best. 6 would probably be a good one to start with as far as the older ones. It's aged well and its PC remake was awesome.

I find the FF's after FFX have trouble telling an engaging story compared to previous titles. FF15 has great moments, but also open world lulls that bring it down a bit.
