And the truth comes out :lmao:

Honestly, his RP sucked, but he had potential on getting better. I think he had a story in mind for it though, like that whole Stratton's gf getting with Stratton's father, and that was really, really shit.

The hooker thing wasn't all that bad. Ramparte's butler got some head in my debut RP.

I'm kind of a dick, I know. I'm not saying Stratton was good, because he wasn't but he is just another in a long line of forgettable characters. He literally only gets brought up because one guy threatened to quit the fed over his content.

Well Angel gets brought up because FWR is still around, plus the NPC was an eight year old child.

Vega killing people gets brought up because a lot of people had a hard on for him, despite Vega being the shittiest secret agent in history, and thought he deserved better. Also him rage quitting the fed probably plays into it.

Idk, I'm in a sour mood and I hate everything right now lol.

True story, Meeks pitched the idea of Derek Jacobs dying at KC 5.

I bring him up because the one RP of his I've read creeped me the fuck out.

I had no idea Haiku threatened to quit.

Would it have been before or after Jacobs cleaned house?

Before I think. Cleaning house came around 2015 to my knowledge but may have begun earlier than that. He wanted Jacobs to be the Diesel to Theron's Shawn Michaels and come "clean house" in the ring anytime someone attacked Theron then turn heel for a big Eurasian title match at KC that never happened because the idea got rejected and soon after I entered the world title feud with Constantine.

My snarky rhetorical question got an answer?

You know your stuff, Dagger.

And I understand man. Here for ya.

That was before the era of Jacobs cleaning house lol. Were you around for his idea about Jacobs single handily defeating The Demon Foreigners using the power of America?

Yeah. Like I don't want to make Haiku out to be a bad guy, because by and large he wasn't, but I had to practically beg him to stay on the creative team. A bit ironic considering he screwed over big plans multiple times by dropping out of the fed with no notice.

I never knew about the heel turn idea. I just remember rejecting the bodyguard idea. While it wasn't the worst idea ever, you were on your way up and he was a lead fucking weight that just managed to drag everyone around him down. He tried to latch onto a lot of people during the dying days of Derek Jacobs.

Haiku worked in a Women's Shelter. His heart was in the right place.

Yeah, but at one time his forum name was also, I'd Wear Pippa Middelton Like A Feedbag.

Can you please tell this story? Does it involve Corvus?

Okay so KC 5 was where the epic Strikeforce/TSA match took place. Shotaro and I didn't want Meeks on our team, but the story we were in made sense that he join Team Strikeforce after TSA kicked him out so we went with it and did our best to coach him into a better RPer. He was doing okay for a bit, making steps forward, then he just put out this absolute turd of an RP at Kingdom Come that still pisses Shotaro off to this day, said he was burnt out on the fed or something like that and wanted to leave. He pitched the idea that since he was going to leave the fed, that Derek Jacobs sacrifice himself for Strikeforce and literally die in the ring to end his career. Not even two rounds after KC was over, he came back wanting to bring Jacobs back to the fed. He ran with him for a couple of rounds, but his RPs started to sound like his own personal diary. Then made the switch to Corvus. He had a surprisingly good debut RP with Corvus, then he literally turned into a generic avenging evil type character in his RPs, and he wasn't good at that. On top of not being good, he had no evil to avenge, so he went back to the personal diary stuff.

I got on around the time of Demon Foreigners, Magnitudinis, and LMD. Don't recall Meeks proposing that. I can see it, however.

That Middleton username though...I had no idea.

Yeah focusing on the friendship between Theron and Chris KO made the feud much better than a random bodyguard would have.

I still remember the first time I saw him post under that screenname. What makes it even weirder is that it wasn't until after he had already changed it to Haiku Hogan that I finally realized the old name read "Pippa" instead of "Pappa". Should come as no shock that I was very weirded out by the screenname.

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

That's great. I can only imagine the reaction when you guys found out he wanted to kill DJ in the ring.

I had been on creative for only a couple of rounds, that KC was my second PPV on creative and he pushed for it so far. I had been told that you would get some weird ideas at times, but I had no idea it would be a guy dying in the ring. I have no idea what was going through his mind.

That's probably the only idea he ever had that wasn't cleaning house or being someone's bodyguard.

I imagine it was just a time sensitive thing, but I would have loved to have seen Braun riding with his intimidating face. Or hell Bray strolling passed his fireflies.

Man, what a good PPV.

To weigh in on Stratton, I feel that while he was very bad and pretty gross, Haiku is part of the reason why he's so un-fondly remembered. That said, all the real completely fucking nuts and/or offensive characters are buried, so "forgettable and sort of gross" is the best you'll get if you need an easy running joke.

Stratton was thoroughly unpleasant through and through, with very targeted language used through the RP and just in general the dude had a bad worldview that didn't make for entertaining RPs.

Ok, yes I did kill a kid who had cancer so I could beat the tag Champs (it worked due to them being to scared to rp), but I don't remember if it was my idea. I think I thrash wanted to have some kind of emotional tie in, so recommended that we killed the kid.
