I hate that I forgot to post in the Prediction thread. I thought Goldberg would beat Lesnar the moment he mentioned being a hero to the kids in his return promo.

Goldberg vs. Lesnar was the best shit EVER. I am such a sucker for stories like that.

Brock desperately needed to be humanised again. Goldberg has support from EVERY person in the audience, is one of the strongest wrestlers to ever exist (kayfabe-wise), and has beaten Lesnar before. The kids get a new hero to support, too, especially after what Brock did to Cena. It's one of those generational pass-down-the-story scenario, where the adults can tell the kids the legend of Goldberg, who used to destroy everybody. The kids can live that dream now.

Also, WCW Goldberg squash matches were always fun (as I've heard).

Goldberg vs La Parka is my favorite squash match. It was at the tip of his popularity, the fans were going nuts for him in a complete squash match. Commentators sell him nice during the 60-70 second match as well. La Parka hits Goldberg over the head with a chair to start the match, he turns around and does a little celebratory dance while Goldberg breathes fire and shakes off the hit like a slap....the rest is destruction.

Any Lufia fans in here? I was feeling nostalgic and fired up my old file in Lufia 2. In all these years I never once thought of trying a party other than Maxim/Selan/Guy/Dekar in the Ancient Cave, oddly enough. Not even once. Used a group of Maxim/Lexis/Tia/Dekar for the fun of it for a bit tonight since it's impossible to get that combination outside of Gift Mode. After about 2 floors of that cave I decided I'll just stick to my usual four of Maxim/Dekar/Guy/Selan. Kept them as the party for the rest of the night. Ah, nostalgia.

Picked up Metal Gear Solid V for the PS4. Hope it's half as good as the critics say it is.

Picked up Metal Gear Solid V for the PS4. Hope it's half as good as the critics say it is.

Personally, I love it, but I also love the whole series so a lot of it really clicked with me when you realize how many subtle callbacks and bits of subtext there are. If you've never played a Metal Gear game, I suppose the character work won't do anything for you, but you should at least get some enjoyment out of the gameplay.

It's a divisive game, for good reason, and I'd rate it lowest in the series in a lot of categories, but aesthetically and theme-wise it really resonated with me.
