I have FIVE kids.

And I only "follow" current wrestling. I haven't actively watched since Punk's way too early return after the pipebomb.

I couldn't even handle one, let alone five. I don't think I ever want kids.

You've missed a number of things both good and bad. If you got the Network you could catch up, and the best part is you can skip the stuff that sucked along the way.

The rewards far outweigh the negatives.

I've followed it, and know pretty much everything going on. But, I can't commit to watching again, just for them to always turn me off with something stupid.

I stopped the first time, when we got Brock v Goldberg. I stopped again with Hassan v Undertaker. I stopped TNA when Hogan came in. I stopped WWE for good, when Punk did that awesome pipebomb, and then came back after 2 weeks.

All for $9.99

That was stupid. If you were still watching, you'd see WWE still has a tendency to muck up somebodies good momentum, especially during the summer. I always wanted to write a Book This based off Punk winning at MITB. I think, no I know, I could've wrote something better.

Since Faluttershy is writing it, more than likely no. Proofread and formatting and proofreading again and a little more Formatting.

Not sure what this is supposed to mean, but the show won't be up tonight. The Lottery is the hardest match of the year to write, and I know my match is behind because I've been dealing with a tire blowout I had.

We'll try to make an announcement when we have a more solid ETA. I promise it'll be worth the wait.

That a lot goes in to writing the shows? Not sure if I sounded Dick-ish or not

I've still followed, but won't commit time to watch. And any time I get the itch, I hear about John Stewart screwing Cena, or Undertaker tapping out.

You forgot the circle jerks.

And ponies.

Not having read any other RP's, I don't think you'll be the winner, but you'll definitely do well.

This makes me wonder...

Do prior RPs count at all, going into the LL? Like, if a guy is on a roll, does it bump a C/C+ RP up to a B-/B?

I know a guy like Titus doesn't need nearly as strong an RP as a John Doe or Armando Paradyse, but I was curious if there was any "curve" that these get graded on.

RP's get graded as they come, regardless if you are "on a roll" or "on a losing streak." You put out a better RP than your opponent(s), you win. Otherwise, you lose. The only thing that counts from previous RP's is if you've used the same concept/RP over and over (that'll put your score lower) or you've got a story arc happening and you've hit a culmination piece... but ultimately, we read & grade them as they come.

Also, status of a person doesn't get put in consideration for wins or losses. Only storylines manipulate how things go down sometimes. A newbie could beat a veteran and we'd rank it as it is.

I was more curious if this is something that affects Lethal Lottery specifically. I wasn't sure if there was any consideration to recent history, good or bad. Being on a losing streak to start Doe's career, it's reassuring to know that won't hurt me.

I agree with this, but I don't think it's as black and white as you make it out to be. I think familiarity plays a small factor in it. I know as creative, we are supposed to be impartial and we try to be, but at the same time we do have certain styles and writers that we favour and enjoy reading over others.
Example, if I'm reading two RP's where one writer I thoroughly enjoy, and the other I'm not fond of or don't know very well, and they both write strong RP's, I feel that I may be more inclined to vote for the writer I enjoy more often. Perhaps in this instance it may take an extraordinary RP from the writer I don't often enjoy for me to vote them over the writer I do enjoy, or a weak effort from the writer I do enjoy.
I think it was LL 4 where Triple X was fairly new and he came in with an awesome RP. Falk I think you ranked his at #2, but I'm not sure the rest of us had him in our top ten's. His was just overlooked by a bunch of other strong RP's from more experienced writers. I'm not trying to disagree with you, I'm just saying familiarity has and I'm sure still plays a small role in voting. That's why we have 7 different people voting, to get 7 different perspectives.

Familiarity isn't the word I'd use but yes, I agree with this.

^^^ That's basically what I was trying to say, but less behind-the-scenes-y. Thanks, Showtime

EDIT: And, don't take this as me blaming Creative at all. I think it's perfectly reasonable to expect a little bit of this. There is a reason the top tier is where they are. As long as it stays as more of a deciding factor, as in Showtime's example, and not a completely ignorant "No! Fuck him! No way he loses to that guy!"
