Finally finished the first segment on mine. This is giving me way more grief than I thought it would. Was hoping to have mine done and posted hours ago. LOL @ that happening.
There's also been people on Creative who have had the mindset of "Huh. The RP looks really long and epic. I better give it my vote. Don't need to read it."
When in reality, long RP's usually contain a lot of filler that added absolutely nothing to the story. No offence, Ty.

Hey now, Ty has made a living winning with RP's more bloated than the stomach of a dead whale sitting out in the sun days on end waiting to explode.
I had been told everyone goes all out on this round, so I held nothing back. I still need to edit this thing, what I finished last night is not what I'm submitting. I still have proofreading and editing to do.
That's the thing, it essentially is two RP's in one. I had material for my Elite X match and then for the Lottery itself. It needs work, but I went all out and had fun writing it. Now I get to have fun proofreading it, although I did come up with a shorter Plan B that I may be using instead.
I don't like you that much but I'm not talking shit. Dagger sometimes less is more my dude. I haven't read the last two rounds of roleplays. But sometimes I've gotten sort of lost in your roleplays. Ive wrote longer roleplays, so has mostly everyone. If 7k words flows well together than great.
I'm not gonna lie, I've read thousands of roleplays, and I'm guilty of this shit too. Sometimes we all need to cut a little filler out.
But with that being said, it is a huge "ppv" card and maybe you'll win with it. Who knows
I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've tried to be nice to you. Grammer problems aside alot of people overlook me because I've never wrote a world title rp, or this or that. I've been reading and writing rp's since 2006 man. I enjoy seeing the enthusiasm you put into your charicter.
I enjoy seeing you push creative to write your character the way you want him to be, because it's something I should have done myself. I was trying for months to re invent Bowen as training mma and re introduced his amateur wrestling background, and never once was it used. None of the submissions I ever posted on my page were use, and none of the stuff I built up to with it was ever wrote into a match or segment. Shit happens, but that's alot of the reason I stopped writing.
Thanks dude. I know we had disagreements in the past, but I always appreciate feedback.
So I like to write a bunch of notes on the bottom of the page when writing an RP so just in case I have to stop for a while I know what I'm doing. This is what I logged on to see and I can't stop giggling long enough to write:

I PM myself notes/brainstorming constantly and keep some at the end of my RP drafts too, so you're not the only one.

There were a few times where I was reading RPs to vote, and they were clearly just long for the sake of being long and I would vote against them. Using 500 words to describe what could be described in 30 is one of the quickest ways to make me hate your RP.

While the LL is definitely a time to go "all-out", it doesn't necessarily mean in length. There are very few RPers who can push the world count limit and get away with it. Even some of the better RPers have struggled with the exhaustion that comes with an extended RP. See: Drake Callahan at LL IV. He had one of the best RPs in my opinion, but it was way too long. Even cutting off a fourth of it might have granted him a win in my eyes. I think I pegged him as 2nd or 3rd.
I would say above all else that length is definitely more often a foe than an ally in an event like LL. Find yourself being on the tail end of 29 other RPs with a character limit pushing piece and you might find your RP being more of a chore to creative than anything.
In the end, it all depends on your goal. I've been notified that a few of my RPs have been a bit lengthy over the last two cycles with Haven. I try to modify for Creative's sake, but I simply write a lot because I get engrossed in the story and care more about the tale moreso than winning matches. The wonderful thing is when you start winning when it is not your main focus.
