WZCW Discussion Thread

Yes. It all really depends on the face/heel matching, at the end of this. Currently, we have two faces and three heels in the match. So we need to see who will be taken into KFAD. Once we do that, we'll make matches for Post-Apocalyptica (think a post PPV Aftershock).

I'm going to go watch Anchorman 2 (it's been a long work week, and I just need to veg), but when I come back, I'll give my thoughts on the five participants RP's. I will say that this was a very well done round; I was hard pressed to find a favorite, because it was great work all around. Shotaro said it on the podcast, but even what some consider the undercard is really, really strong right now. I'd argue our mid and under card is the strongest there ever was.

This of comes from my six month stint, thus far. Oh, and I will get back to whoever sent me a PM recently.

Sounds like a bad episode of MLP. And you're right it's been pretty strong recently, like Shotaro said there's no easy win the fed right now, at least until Darren Bull comes back next round.

Also You should see American Hustle instead, great movie.

You know, I was very tempted to, but I also need something to laugh at this week. A coworker committed suicide this week, and it's been hectic. I've heard American Hustle is funny, is it anything I have to take serious?

I also have a thing against David Russell. Fucking hated Silver Linings Playbook

There is consequences that we're suppose to take seriously but overall it's basically a laugh fest with actors known for more serious roles. It's actually classified as a Comedy.

Sorry to hear about the co-worker, I actually like Silver Linings though. But if you hated that you might love how this ends for Bradley Cooper's character.

What about an Elite X contendership match? Last four go into a Battle Royale and the winner faces the champion on the following round. It ain't much but it would be something.

What about elimination rules Fatal Fourway between the remaining four, and have it be a dark match, winner gets an Elite X title shot on Meltdown? It would be quite similar, but I'd want to see a different match since we just did a Battle Royal last PPV.

Worth the watch though?

Somewhat; it was humorous, yes. But you can tell the movie was.... How do I put this?

If that movie could have made love to itself, it would have. The entire thing felt like a two and a half ******io job on itself, patting itself on the back for how they portray the news industry.

Which is fine... Except, South Park did a better job of that, in a far more concise manner. The movie really overstayed it's welcome, and by the Park Fight (spoilers), all I could really think is, "oh look, another cameo. Yeah, don't care anymore, I'm done."

It wasn't bad, but... Well, man does it drag.

I wasn't a fan of the first Anchorman, Will Ferral just doesn't hit it with me for whatever reason.

See, I enjoyed the first Anchorman... Maybe because it seemed far less preachy?

Nah, it's because I could live for an eternity, with Jack Black punting a dog on loop, playing in my brain.

Side question, you said you're getting to PMs? I sent you one a while ago about the Symposium and Doctor Is In I think.

Side side note, I think I've found a nice new inspiration to mold into Jon.

You did, indeed. I actually wanted to make RP length the subject of a whole symposium... But then again, maybe that isn't fair. I will answer the question... It's a fair one, though tricky. And I don't know if there's one singular answer.

But I'll answer it as best I can. Meaning, my answer will be quite subpar.

You're a hard man to please: I thoroughly enjoyed that movie - tied best with Machete Kills for me this year. Then again, I enjoy a variety of things that most don't.

I will say that I was about to give up when Kanye West hit the screen but it reeled me back in when Tina/Amy hit the screen... but that's only because I feel Kanye West is a complete dick.

It's alright, I can pass the time you textually beating up Slash-LN in that Twitter lady thread you made.

Lord she was dumb.

You know, while I was thinking about this...

So I guess there's no EOY awards for WZCW huh?

I don't own a podcast.... But, if I did, I'd imagine that an EOY award show podcast would be an interesting concept... Have voting occur for a week, and have a podcast, discussing the recent shows, while intermittently announcing award winners and giving thoughts on the winners.

Gee, if only someone here had a podcast...
