WZCW Discussion Thread

Yeah, I had a debate with an aquaintance the other day about Skylar. He couldn't understand why she gets so much hate. I had to explain that bitchy uber-nags tend to be disliked. Although, I think he might be mildly autistic, so it would make sense that he doesn't get it.

I think that's exactly right. I think it's a testament to the quality of the writing (and indeed acting) that I despise her. That being said watching a naggy, cloying bitch on television is not good TV, I get WHY she's that way but it still tainted an otherwise pretty damn enjoyable 7 episodes of TV.

Admittedly, that 20 weeks of work is insane. Have you seen the 7 Days to Air Documentary? They work basically non-stop for a whole week.

I actually thought about mentioning it (if anyone wants to google it it's actually 6 days to air btw) but I figured once you're that deep into South Park you were at least aware of the schedule they work to, for me it's one of the major reasons why South Park is so relevant. That show never misses a goddamn beat in terms of news and culture and I will be disappointed if the upcoming episode isn't analogous to the US Government Shutdown.

Incidentally, have you seen the most recent episode? Where adults have to learn Minecraft? Brilliant.

About to watch my first PPV live since Wrestlemania 27 or something crazy like that. The pre-show match is streamed on WWE's website, right?

Really? Of all of the PPVs they've done in the past two and a half years you picked Battleground to watch live? (Though in fairness I barely watch anymore. I'm considering cancelling Sky Sports since I only have it for WWE and I find myself deleting whole PPV cycles of unwatched episodes of Raw and Smackdown pretty damn regularly)

Also Rated, I tend to read things in the voice of the person who wrote it (unless there's a bizzare congnitive dissonance there like for Ty, I don't know why but his voice sticks out as being so unusual for his posts that I can't do it.) Glad to see someone else use my smooth ass moderately husky voice in their own head.

The ironic thing is, if we were only seeing what Skylar sees, we'd be on her side. But the fact is, when we see what Walt has to go through, and then she bitches at Walt, you can't help but hate her.

It was definitely better than the season premier. "Boo Wendy! Boo Wendy Testaburger!" got me every time. And when Stan interrupts his parents having sex the first time, and you hear Randy saying "Damn, who the hell is that? Ugh, it's probably fuckin' Stan." was absolutely brilliant.

Battleground is actually a very solid card considering it's the most B of B Pay Per Views. RVD vs. ADR, the WWE title match and the Shield vs. the Rhodes are all matches I'm excited for, so I figured I'd give it a chance. Plus Ryback vs. CM Punk has potential to be really good.

Plus, it helps that I'm off work tomorrow. I had to sit through my college lectures the day after Money in the Bank 2011 and this year's Summerslam, which was torture.

And I'm now regretting that that was my first PPV to watch live in a couple years.

Still though, the Shield vs. the Rhodes was pretty awesome. It's weird that the Shield are the only act guaranteed to put on a good show every time. Even Bryan vs. Orton felt so laboured, polar opposite to their matches a few months ago.

Never expect a PPV that's held in early October to be good, it usually never is.

Little bit late, but I'm a Cubs fan, so fuck off.

Well that explains how horrible you are everything.

If you're wondering whose fault it is that the shows are late, I'll tell you now: it's me, and Kermit's niece. I was doing REAL work tonight (not that any of you lazy bums know anything about that), and was unable to finish either of my matches. Kermit's niece, on the other hand, had the gall to be born on a WZCW PPV weekend, and she monopolized his time.

I think we all know who the bigger criminal is here.

With the way TSA has been performing since Kingdom Come, I'd be surprised if that baby didn't beat all of you to an inch of your life.

Impromptu change of match to Redemption: Drake Callahan & The Amazing Frog Girl vs. David Whitman & God.

"Who is that?"

"Oh My God, that's Laura K.O, niece of Chris! What the hell is she doing here?! She's only 48 hours old!"

She proceeds to springboard into the ring and hit a hurricanrana on whatever poor sucker is nearest. Somehow.

I would regret that too. Why didn't you start with Wrestlemania, Money In the Bank, or Summerslam? Or even Night of Champions? The October PPVs are often in the bottom of the year for quality.

I'd go further than usually and just say never. WWE needs to learn how incredibly stupid it is to have 2 PPV's in October each year. I don't understand why they keep doing that, and they have yet to figure out why neither of them does particularly well. Hell In a Cell should be the better of the two, but it would be far better itself if the time that was used to give Battleground what little hype it got, had all gone to Hell In a Cell.

This is the first Monday I've had off in a long time. Usually, because of the time difference, I can't watch any PPV's because I have college/work the next morning.

Yeah I know the feeling. The excitement of seeing a great ending to a solid PPV event fades faster when the downside of knowing you have work first thing in the morning sets in.
