This comment rather annoyed me quite a bit... because I take serious offense to anyone even implying that I don't care about what the Mayhem title can/should/could mean. Personally, I feel I've defended this championship with as much heart and effort as Showtime has defended his World Title and then in winning it back. I love being Mayhem Champion. What I've said in RPs as Vega about the Mayhem Title are feelings I truly have... and that is that I want to make the Mayhem Championship the hardest title to win in this fed. The tournament would have given me a chance to show that I could roll with the big boys.
Like I said before, it's all kind of irrelevant now... because I'm not very upset about being excluded anymore. I trust in what JGlass has said thus far, and for as long as I've been a part of this fed, I've seen J to be a pretty honest & straight forward guy.
Not at all meant to be a direct shot at any champion. Just stating how focus turns away from championships that aren't the world heavyweight. And it's a double edged sword, not you in particular, but there have been champions (I'm sure there've been some here before) that basically only hold the title to climb up the ladder and that's all it's good for. Obviously you personally have managed to supersede your own rank.
As a champion if encourage you to submit promos to the show challenging any and all. Make a 24hr rule for yourself, do whatever it takes to make it a primary focus. Refuse to let it burden you, or vacate/retire it. I had the lowest billed title, and I hustled that thing all the way to a main event over a world champion's match. You already have a leg up on the people TRYING to become a champion. Because again at the end of the day, only one person will win.
I get the frustration, but the attention is on you, you just have to do something more with it.
