It's not your fault really. In fact, prior to posting that spiel I posted something in creative about how we didn't do a good job communicating to the regulars what's going on. We could have done a better job explaining that the reason we're leaving the current champions out is because we have big things in the work for all the belts. Here's a little taste of what's in the works.

While I am still gutted I wont be in the tourney against the likes of Zues, K.O and Vega I am glad its not just so that we can build a title defense for once.

Elite X: A total revamping of the title that will give the title holder a chance to jump directly into a feud for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Hmm, I'll get excited about this when I've proved I can defend the title.

Sign your Elite X title over to me and I'll let you have my spot in the tournament. Sound fair?

I do love tournaments, like, I'd really enjoy being involved in this one, but it's just not in my nature to hand stuff over, ask Krypto. Besides, seems creative want to set title holders a long term challenge with this belt, and I just can't turn down a challenge, ask Krypto.

I can understand frustration with being left out of the tournament because you have a title, it feels like punishment for accomplishment. However, it's kind of embarrassing to complain about it. At least that would be my viewpoint for it. This is the same problem in the wwe. There doesn't seem to be much interest, even from the champions themselves, about what these titles can/should/could mean.

If I was a champion, I'd be content with the fact that ultimately one person will win that tournament. Only one. While I would be a champion. Obviously on the radar and looking to carry whatever title I had, making people step their game up to take it from me.

But like, potentially walking out of a tournament that contained the very best in the fed as the winner, plus the chance to face random people you normally wouldn't, rookies stepping up their game, old foes, Dr. Zues. Seemed like too good an opportunity to pass up at the time.
